While sending the festive messages i noticed that inbuild messaging app does not allow you to select recipient from phonebook :also it wont allowed me to select multiple contacts so i ve installed tp app. Is there any soln with the stock app??

It's nt a bug.. cm based Roms don't hv access lyk stock based Roms..
U can use go sms app fem Google play store.. or flash a stock based Rom lyk jaggy rom or sense 4 Rom..

Currently I hav option to enter only 10 contacts per group msg...
I really hope it to b near 50....
U can use any other contacts app. Try go contacts. Maybe it will fulfil your needs.

Is there any way to do it on my Droid...
I'm currently on 2.3.6 dxkt4 and rooted
I'm using Gmail for Android 4.0.4 in a 3-inch display phone.
I can only attach IMAGES or VIDEOS by pressing the Menu button from the phone, but not ANY file. It's only possible when sharing a file from another application !
And I remember there was a button to draw something (scribble) and attach it, and it seems to be disappeared...
Download the last updated version of gmail... It has ur prblms solution...cheers

No, it is the last.
It is possible to attach any file by selecting "Attach images" and choosing a File explorer, for example.
I was confused. The one that features "Scribbles" option is the iOS version. I don't know WHY Google doesn't include that on Android. I saw a lot of drawing tools in Google Play, so I think that drawing in a canvas is provided by the Android SDK.
I also don't know WHY it isn't possible to change the text format (color, size, bold/italic...)
Is that programming so hard, for Google?
My android app installed by default with 4.0.4 ICS (its not listed in settings, applications) shows standard clipper icon for attachment and then asks you from where you want to select it (like photo browser, video browser or all file browser)

Moto G XT1032 rooted , faux123 kernel ,
had selected hangouts as the default sms app , was working ok for a week but know cannot type message and after close the app FC ...
tried to install chomp sms and not working either .... i think that i had uninstall the stock sms app if this matters (i dont think so)
any help ???
can anyone upload the stock apk to flash it and try ??

i rooted karbonn titanium s5 (jelly bean) and installed new os lollypop, but i am facing problem with sms since i installed new rom .... i received sms, but when trying to send sms by using contacts, sms not sent . sms saved as draft, and when i entered mobile no. manuely then sms sent successfuly...

Could be a number of things. Be sure your APN is correct. Also, try clearing data for your messaging app.

Is that a custom rom you have flashed?..If thats the case then your problem may be due to a bug

I ran across this SMS app a while back when I flashed a custom ROM called Mokee OS which was based on android 6.0.1. There was a stock SMS app included in the ROM that I "fell in like with". I'm back on LP now though, and the messaging app doesn't seem to be compatible with that version of android as it just crashes after being opened. I have the app's icon, and I'm hoping someone could give me it's name so I could probably search the internet to see if theres a LP compatible version out there. Thanks.
