hi all...
Moto G XT1032 rooted , faux123 kernel ,
had selected hangouts as the default sms app , was working ok for a week but know cannot type message and after close the app FC ...
tried to install chomp sms and not working either .... i think that i had uninstall the stock sms app if this matters (i dont think so)
any help ???
can anyone upload the stock apk to flash it and try ??
any ideas what is the problem ??

I accidentally deleted mms.apk from /system/apps, and I don't know how to resolve this problem. I tried to use a substitute like "ICS Messaging Pro", but in absence of this file, the incoming messages aren't visualized, and I see them only one time, through "Popup Notifications".
Now, I found a mms.apk modded, but it's not for my phone, and it crashes every time I receive an sms, but now it saves the incoming messages in "ICS Messaging Pro".
Is there anybody that can send me mms.apk for my telephone?
I've got Gingerbread 2.3.6
Version of the firmware: B5510XXKK2
You can try go sms, handcent sms or any of those apks and it should work, if not, or if you still want the original apk, try asking for it in phone's forum, any user can pull it using adb or root explorer and give it to you... if that's the way, you'll have to push it into /system/app using adb or root explorer and setting permissions... but as I said, you can try another app like the ones I've mencioned avobe
Idk, I saw that without this file every messaging app I install gives the same problem: They don't save the incoming messages. I must wait for mms.apk ...

l have instaled MIUI ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778870 about 1 week ago and all go nice. Today its seams the yahoo mail dont work . anybody know something about this ?
ANd another thing is : l have try to set a ringtone .mp3 but dont workin.
l cant post in the ROM post.
The ROM is verry nice

try to delete cache from the yahoo mail app and see if it works

Same. l have uninstal the app and instal again ... the crash is when l open an email not the app.

try from recovery to do wipe cache+dalvik
While sending the festive messages i noticed that inbuild messaging app does not allow you to select recipient from phonebook :also it wont allowed me to select multiple contacts so i ve installed tp app. Is there any soln with the stock app??

It's nt a bug.. cm based Roms don't hv access lyk stock based Roms..
U can use go sms app fem Google play store.. or flash a stock based Rom lyk jaggy rom or sense 4 Rom..

I am encounter this weird problem, the SMS backup plus worked fine beofre i rooted my phone. but now its just not working anymore.
so I flashed another rom. started with hendcent messenger. then run the restore, it works fine. but then i clicked into the default sms app, all the messages that was restored in hendcent dissapeared!!!!
what happened, pls help!

Thanks for your reply! but has anyone experience the same problem as I do? it is so frustrated that I can't get the sms. is there another app that can restore sms backup+ 's gmail backup file?

Register as beta tester : doenload beta 1.5.6 and the job will be done
SOLVED
For everyone who is facing this issue. If you backup your messages using "SMS Backup+" and after upgrading to KitKat 4.4.2 if restoring not work, just install this app from the Play Store "App Ops Starter" (Need Root Access) and give write permission to "SMS Backup+". That's all, you are good to go. :highfive:
Work for me on, Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 (Rooted) - 4.4.2 KitKat (Samsung Unofficial Leak 2) & SMS Backup+ 1.5.5 (Play Store Version).
