Hi Everyone,
I'm facing this issue of "Network Error. Please check your network connections" whenever I try to set up my 'Google Now'. I have googled everywhere and searched the forum and I couldn't find anything. If I have missed it, please direct me to the correct place...
I'm using a TF700T:
Android Version 4.1.1
Kernel Version 3.1.10
Build Number: JRO03C.WW_epad-10.4.4.20-20121026
Please let me know if I should provide more information.
EDIT: It might be a location issue because google play does not allow me to install NFS Most Wanted despite me being in Australia.
I am in Sydney and don't have any issues connecting to Google Now.
Resolved
I have somehow managed to fix the issue:
I have 5 google accounts for different purposes and 1 of them is not syncing because of an issue, the moment I removed that account from the tablet. Viola! Google Now worked!

I'm running MIUI US 2.8.3 on a HTC Sensation and my GPS will not work. It had been discovered that the makers of MIUI had replaced the google location services with Baidu, but it was supposed to be fixed from like 2.7 onward. Before I tried to fix it, my google maps kept telling me I was in China, or half the time wouldn't find any location at all. I did some googling and found threads on the miuiandroid website that said to fix it you need to reinstall a networklocation.apk from a prior release of MIUI. I have done that twice, and neither time it has worked. My gps isn't working at all anymore, and I have no idea how to fix it. I looked at the permissions and I noticed that for default under the permissions it says "android.permission.BAIDU_LOCATION_SERVICE", does this mean it's still trying to run the Baidu location services even though I installed the google one? Is there anyway to change this and if there is would it fix the problem I'm having?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, as it seems across the board any thread I've come across has had the problem fixed by installing the google .apks, but that hasn't been the case for me at all.
Hi All.
I recently noticed my Nexus 5's tethering functionality wasn't working properly. Attached is a screenshot showing the only error message which provides no error code.
I researched the issue and came across 2 main fixes.
Delete \data\misc\wifi
Clear APNs/Restore to defaults
I tried both of these fixes with no success.
Can anyone advise on a probable cause or how I might access further info to resolve the issue? A log possibly? Error Code?
Device Info:
Nexus 5 bought from Australian Google Play Store
Android 4.4.3 stock (Rooted)
Only application I have that interacts with this is Power Toggles however ending the service has no impact.
Thank you for your assistance
Bump
If bumping is against the rules I'm sorry but I haven't been able to use tethering since a a couple weeks before the date of the original post. I'd really appreciate some advice.
Hello! I've been a Google Music All Access subscriber since nearly day 1, and I haven't had any issues with the service until recently. I can't pinpoint a specific time this started, but it was before Lollipop rolled out to my Nexus 5 (problem probably started about a month ago?). GMAA has mood radio stations that you can pick based on the time of day, so for work, bedtime, etc. Often (>50% of the time now) when I try to play one of these radio stations, I get an error that states "Couldn't prepare radio. Please try again." The error persists for specific radio stations; trying other stations makes it work (but the original station still doesn't work). I've attached a screenshot of the error.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? It's REALLY annoying and I'd like to get it fixed! I'll contact Google directly if I have to, but I'd prefer to avoid that.

Did you ever end up finding a solution to this problem. I've been experiencing it for a couple months now. I emailed Google Play app support but have not gotten a response from them even after numerous attempts.
I keep having this issue too and its so annoying...if anyone has a fix please share.

Found a solution that worked for me I grabbed the old APK from APK mirror and installed that version instead ( grab oct 21 2014 release) install this version and play a few of the contextual radios they all seemed to work on that version. After playing the ones that weren't working I installed the newest version again and they continued to work.
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-music/google-play-music-5-7-1717q-1530520-apk/ this is the version that I used to get it working again.
Here's what worked for me... I completely uninstalled the app. It was installed by default as a system app. Then installed again through the Google Play store. Haven't had any issues so far ??

Thanks for this. I started getting the same error so I followed your instructions. I'm not rooted so I couldn't completely remove the app. But I uninstalled as much as i could and cleared everything I could and the radio stations are working again.
Hey guys
I know I'm late to the party but I found a fix to this issue and I wanted to see if it works for other people. I did this on a galaxy S7 running Android 7.0 and running the latest version of Google play music. Here's what I did:
1. Tap the 3 dot menu on the playlist in question and select "create new playlist"
2. Name the playlist something different from the original
3. Remove one song from the playlist (I don't think it matters which but I removed the first song)
4. Put the song back in the playlist.
5. Check to see if the radio function works for the new playlist
6. Delete the old playlist and rename the new on to what the old playlist was called.
7. Now you should have a playlist that is identical to the original and the radio function should work for it.
Hope this helps.
Hi guys I'm currently traveling outside the US and for some reason my google play stop working, can't update or install any app, gplay says downloading but nothing happens. I have a pretty decent roaming internet connection and I'm able to search apps and access all my other google apps but is just gplay stuck with the downloading message.
I tried restarting the phone and switching to wifi but still issue persist anyone experienced the same behavior or with any ideas of why is this happening?
Its normal, because its problem of all phones running android 7.0 i dunno if they fix it with google monthly security patch but as i said its known problem.
Is it? Didn't know that but I'd say it is a weird bug to find at this stage
Which country are you currently traveling in? As we know, Google Play Store is not available in several countries.

Hello!
Today I realised that Location History (and, hence, Location Sharing) is not available to me... Googling the issue I see that this issue has been bothering many users of Chinese phones, but with no clear solution.
Of course location history was working fine since the day I got the phone, and I didn't change anything like, say, flashing a new ROM. I'm on OB25, btw.
Anyone else facing the same issue?
Same for me. Was working fine for one years and a recent research showed that it stopped working...
Had to remove my Google account, now it's working again. However, judging from others posting in various sites, I don't know for how long...

I have the same issue on Vivo Iqoo Pro. the location history was working initially, and stopped working after the google play service automatically upgraded. What i am doing is uninstall the google play service and reinstall the original play service from the Vivo app market almost every the other day when google play service upgraded to the newest version.
I don't know how to stop the google play service automatic updating... maybe i have to root the cell phone and then there is a way to stop the play service updating...
That's a valid question...
As for me, in the end I had enough and just cleanly flashed my ROM. For some reason, the problem did not appear again!
