I have a very simple question
Will there be any problem if i swap my stock i9003 1650mah battery with the 1500 mah battery of the i9000
will any issues pop up due to lower power or anything?
i dont think theres gonna be a problem. maybe your only problem is lack of 150mah..thats all..the important thing is the battery fits..

No, absolutely no problem. The two batteries have the same voltage and output current, so there's no difference but the capacity of the battery.
Cheers

I need an extended battery that does not require the use of a new back cover to fit. I've read through some posts and really not sure?
Which battery is good to get and why?
How much better than stock is it?
There's a 1700 battery that fits standard, bit 200mAh is nothing. Like 12% extra.

Check on Amazon. Either the Prodicell or Hyperion 1800mAh batteries will fit in the original backing. I personally use Prodicell and I have noticed about 2 hrs more battery life with moderate usage.

there is a post here i dont know anything about it but look it up 2430Mah battery (same size as stock) ( 1 2 3 ... Last Page)
Most likely extended batteries that are the same size as stock will actually have less mah..

On every rom i port, why does our g3 do not show correct battery % values.
What is the use of one % battery mode if it does not show correct values.
Is there any solution? Or any developer who can make our g3 to show each % of battery accurately.

buddy, i just wanna inform you...you missed section.....and....battery indicator depens on a kernel you use aswell....as cm7 kernels...(some of them)...have that bug...but not g3mod....so...
Thanq for ur reply Rkoby...I know that battery % depends on kernel.
Not only in cm7 kernels but also in froyo kernels and roms after charging to 100%, in just 5 min battery level gets down to 32% or 28% even if we dont use the phone and after that it takes a day to get down to 12% then another day gets down to 5% and then i have to charge my phone.
Even on g3mod kernel.

What i need is battery % should be accurate to its each value.
Can any one suggest me any froyo kernel which shows battery % correctly.

Few more questions to ask.
1. I have got my new battery in a plastic cover.....so I wanted to know wether it is better to use the battery along with the cover.
2. Does overclocking spoils the battery.
3. Few more tips so that batter would last longer [for many years].
Sent from my first smart phone
I think it is better to remove plastic cover as it would just act as an insulator and heat the battery.
Regarding better battery life you can try using profiles in set CPU to increase your battery life as well reduce overall lag.
You can overclock whenever your apps demand more processing like heavy games etc.
Sent from my GT-I5800
Basics 101 no one makes a product to last "many years". If ppl dont come back for more most companies will have to shut down shop. Max you can expect is 1-3 years.
Some things you can do ensure longer battery life are:
1) Make sure you calibrate your battery once in month or 3 months.
2) Avoid completely draining you battery often.
3) ensure first charge of about 6-8 hrs with the phone switched off
Apart from this you can also set up some Profiles in set cpu to underclock your processor @night or when screen is off to reduce power consumption.
Sorry dude I misinterpreted your question
In order to get the battery running for many years never let the phone be plugged in to charger once it is fully charged (like leaving it to power source all night). This is common cause of batteries dying earlier

Yes......it is good to unplug the charger as soon as it gets charged.

I almost posted this Problem but i habe a new Problem. My Problem was, that the Anker battery i recieved only has 1580 mAh. I controlled it with more than One app from the market. Now i wrote to the company, where i bought it(amazon at Laptopmate Germany). The told me that i will recieve a new One. I recieved it today and it has got 1580 mAh too-.-
I Know it firstly must calibrate, but with this, it dont change the capacity..
Whar should i Do?
I already wrote to them again and i must wait for an anwer till tomorrow..

yeah, i know...
but i bought it, because other users here told, that its good.
they've got 1900 mah...
it try to contact anker now. maybe they can help me..
The battery really is 1900 mAh, but you cannot use the sensation to measure its capacity - the battery driver is seriously flawed and will give you rubbish figures, no matter which 'app' you use.
If you want to test the capacity then you'll have to make a rig with a known resistive value and time a drop in voltage, you could then calculate the capacity of the battery - but its a lot of work...
Also, the quoted battery capacity is a theoretical value, you'll never get to use all of it due to the way Li-ion cells work.

Don't worry man. If you wanted to see it's capacity with some software it can't be done. I have noticed that Battery monitor widget recognises new batteries as 1580 mah, but it doesn't mean anything. Your batter's fine
Oh okay.
Then i habe got 2 ankers for the price of One Now
But is there any simple way, to Check capicity?

There are probably two possibilities:
Use the stock battery, charge to 100% and notice how long it stays alive.
In Settings -> Power -> Accu Usage you´ll find a statistic about the powerdrain and the actual ontime.
After some charge cycles change to the anker and redo the steps. Then you will have an approximate result on how long your battery extend your batterylife.
The second approach is to touch the batterycontacts by your tounge. The harder the pain, the much higher it´s capacity
I´ve got the Anker for about 2 or 3 month and replace it sometimes with the stock. I´d say it stays alive for about 30% longer. (~2 Days 17 Hours)
My Problem is, i did the First method and the Anker isnt better.
My battery stays about 15 hours with Not more than 3 hours screen on. With both batterys.

Your problem is either your phone or the ROM, I get at least double that performance from the same anker battery.
The anker is only 20% greater capacity than the standard battery, that won't make much difference to your poor battery life. Do some searching to reduce your power consumption and getting your phone to sleep properly - if you are still on stock or ROM with wakelock issues then those are your most likely causes.

Yeah, i thought so too, But i tested nearly Every Rom and Kernel...

Me too! You sound exactly like me! I went through everything before I finally found this battery! I'm really happy now with the Mugen. It seems to be a true extended life battery. But you have to sacrifice the thin phone for it. It will make phone thicker but that didn't matter to much to me because of the excellent battery life. I guess it's a give and take. Battery life makes up for it for me but some people would never have it due to the thickness. It just depends on what you want. For me I was after battery life so I'm very happy. I got used to the thickness in about a week. If you don't mind the thickness give it a try! You won't be disappointed. The extra back they provide could be made better but the battery itself is really amazing! Your situation sounds exactly like mine so I think if you get the 3800mah you will be very pleased. As long as the thickness doesn't bother you. I do wish you the best and hope you get your battery issues solved soon! Good luck!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, STOP SPAMMING EVERY POST WITH YOU 3800 mAh BATTERY!!!!!
ita annoys us all! we all know, that you have a 3800 mah battery now! Nice, that it helped you, but its much bigger and its very ugly and i dont want to buy a thing, that makes my nice phone ugly for 100 dollars!
sorry, but it only nerves!
my phone is Huawei U8800, and its battery is getting worse and worse. I am thinking about replacing its battery, but in my country I can't find a battery of the same type.
My first question is that if I put a battery from another phone into my phone, is there any harm?
And second, there is a high chance that the new battery does not fit my phone, so my second question is that can I connect them by wires?
Thts a risky move coz i biliv phones has certain capacity.. Usin battery from other phones is not recommended.. Do some search to find compatible batteries o try online purchasing for d battery..
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
I would say if the output voltages are the same between the 2 batteries then the harm is minimized for using another phones battery in your phone. If there's a voltage difference then I wouldn't go for it.
Not worth the risk......unfortunately li-ion batteries are unlike alkaline batteries. Until you could get the right battery you could use a little power bank that could accept AAs or something.

Hello everyone,
Your battery drains too fast, get now Mugen Power 3200mAh extended battery for Samsung Galaxy SL I9003 and double your phone usage!
This battery life will last twice as long as the stock battery life (1650mAh), and maybe more
You can order it here:
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...samsung-galaxy-s-i9003-with-battery-door.html
You may not like the battery door
Best regards
but unfortunately It makes the phone out of shape and too big ...
Is it necessary to change something in the build.prop or in another file?
Or will the phone automatically full charging this kind of battery?
If you like this way - open framework-res.apk/Res/xml/power_profile.XML
Set batary.capacity
