I still want to keep the sense feature and some of tmobiles app that I always use, I just want to remove some stock apps that's taking the memory so much and I don't use them plus they said overclocking will decrease lagging of the phone

You need to root your phone to either freeze the apps via Titanium or by ViperBloat
Rooting your phone is really a good thing to do as it open your phone to changing, modifying and adding certain apps

Jhobert, I advise you to read and get very familiar with the process as it could brick your phone. Brick means that it won't work at all no matter what you do.
Just wanted to warn you and advise you to do a lot of reading.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
I would suggest downloading and flashing one of the NO-SENSE scripts in the Dev section or using ViperBloat to remove all the uneeded bloatware!

Can you UNINSTALL the bloatware apps or will that mess things up?
Also, where is ViperBloat? I am searching the dev forums but don't see it, unless it is a very old thread.

Hi,
I am just looking to fix my app associations by doing this http://www.androidcentral.com/how-restore-functionality-apple-v-htc-war-has-taken-away-root, will rooting via the one click method allow me to do this?
thanks
the oneclick method will root your phone, and that will allow you to modify those files
Thank you for the reply.
Need a One click root for 1.78.401 eu OTA.....

I don't think the oneclick script listed above is base specific. It should work on any base, TMOUS or EU
Does not work anymore htc has fix exploit same as 1.85 update for One x

I'm sorry but if that isn't simple enough then I suggest you hold off gaining root access... You should read and learn what you are doing, and potential risks involved.

It's not too hard to find. The dev's name is attn1, and the tool's name is aahk. Just Google the two terms together.
EDIT: Gizmoe beat me to it.
I recommend just flashing a stock RUU from HTC. It'll just replace everything to stock (in the process losing everything on your phone, just like factory reset).

Doesn't require S-Off at all. S-Off will only save you about thirty seconds when flashing ROMs, because you have to skip one small step.

That's right, but consider that every single time you need a computer at your side.
If you have you save only seconds, if not you have to wait....
