[Q] ICE DS 6.0 wifi do not work - HTC Desire S

Hello,
i had upgraded my HTC Desire s from ICE DS 5.3 to 6.0. Every thing work like charm only wifi I cant start on enable i get error and wifi do not start. I did full wipe, cache wipe, only SD card had stayed as it was.
I tried to install PG88IMG.zip in recovery mode and I get "action abort" message in install from sd card?
What I'm doing wrong?
Plese help me.
Bye,
Andrej
phone info: HTC Desire S, SAGA PVT SHIP S-ON RL, HBOOT-2.02.0002, RADIO-3831.19.00.110

How did you unlock your phone? Did you use HTCDev?

I USED HTCDev!!
Yes the phone is unlocked! I had ICE DS 5.3 for 2 month installed i made upgrade to 6.0 and now wifi dont work. But FM Radio work supper.
I tried to install PG88IMG.zip via 4EXT Recovery and i get Instalation aborted is there some other way to do that?
I'm confused.
BYe,
Andrej

Did you flash the kernel as well?

No, how can I flash kernel and why, there is no mention in to do that when upgrading to 6.0. And whit what I must flash kernel some other version or patch???
bye.

If your phone has been unlocked then you need to flash the kernel every time you flash a new ROM. Technically you might, sometimes, get away with it - but it is best to ALWAYS flash it. Search for flash boot.img and you should find what you need.

So if I understand you, I must use boot.img from ICE_DS_v.6.0.zip and manual flash the kernel via "fastboot flash boot boot.img" ?
Thank you for answer.

Thank you, I cant understand way that was problem on 6.0 but it was not on 5.3, it is possible that my old kernel and 5.3 was the same??
again thank you

That is possible, yes. I don't remember exactly, but i think 5.3 may have the unmodified stock ics kernel, which was probably what you had previously.

If I rememver exactly, 5.3 already has a tweaked amidabuddha kernel.

But probably the same as in an earlier version of ice_ds, I assume

You should ask this in the questions and answers forum.
It will look like a switched off phone and it won't start.
No, you won't affect the radio installing a new ROM.

RUU (or Shipped ROM whichever you prefer) will change all your system components (bootloader, radio, kernel, system, data, etc.) The custom ROM will change only the ReadOnlyMemory /system/ and kernel. Some files may be flashed on /data - it depends on the developer...
Edit: this thread was suggested for move to the Desire S Q&A section

What does your phone look like now when you switch it on? E.g. stuck on white HTC screen with 'quietly brilliant', stuck on white HTC screen without 'quietly brilliant', black HTC screen.. etc. Can you access the boot loader (e.g. take battery out, replace, press volume down key and power key TOGETHER)?

[Q] Need Extreme Help.....!!

Errr your hboot confuse me LoL
Everytime whenever there is a discussion about hboot i would just read a bit then ignore it xP
You are already 's-off', which is better than 'unlock' with s-on.
You should have a custom recovery, i presume it is clockwork. to flash a new rom step.
I would give my post 1 or 2 days before trying it out. Because if i am wrong someone will correct me then we both can learn.
I am slowly forgetting this kind of details but I think that even S-OFF (which is definitely much better than unlocked) he still needs an Engineering bootloader to flash a recovery.

There is no root necessary?
You need a recovery to flash, so you must be at least unlocked with custom recovery.

Yes I am. I don't want to do some stuff that I dont have any knowledge.
If its possible that I only have to instal it with TWRP, thats easy. But root and stuff. The last time I did it with my One S, it went wrong.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Infuse (sgh-i997) CWM Issues

Good Evening/Hello/Hi,
I own a sgh-i997 and I am running stock firmware (Froyo 2.2), rooted and bootloader unlocked. I was attempting to update to KitKat 4.4, I succeded in installing 2013.04.30-CWM-Synthesis-1.2Ghz.zip Kernel with SGS kernel flasher and that installed CWM, then I attempted to flash CWM flashable EFS to backup my IMEI. Then I installed the CM9 (ICS) rom and when I rebooted the phone and went into CWM i encountered this

Hope you guys can help me.
Thank You.

Curious if you can use the unbrick (via Odin) instead (to get you to Gingerbread as well), but the above would be a good starting point nonetheless

Please Help to Back to Stock rom HTC U11 Telstra

Hi There.
Trust you are all well.
Would you please to help me to solve these problems? pls.
After I got a HTC U11 Telstra brand from my friend, it is a demo phone but after flashing something, it can use as normal phone, it was run Android 7 and then i upgraded to Andoird 8.0 via OTA. everything is fine until I tried to Unlock Boot loader, Rooted by Following some steps from one topic==> Successful.
I installed Cook Rom from Leedroid==> https://forum.xda-developers.com/u11/development/rom-leedroid-v1-0-0-beta-fast-stable-t3623657.
But my phone was keeping reset and I can't use it as much as i think so I really want to come back to stock room. Honestly, I can't find any Rom which is related to my phone. I tried to use RUU.exe to install from HTC website, Installed by sd card, used TRWP, tried everything and I tried to find from this famous topic also but can't find==>https://forum.xda-developers.com/u11/how-to/guide-htc-u11-how-to-return-to-stock-t3628452. My friend tried to use XTC2clip but he said can't do anything as I upgraded to Andoird 8.0 already.
It's not brick, It can use as normal but always keep reset and no screen so i can't see to to touch any where but the led buttons are still light..
I really wants to come back Stock Rom with 8.0 or 7.0.
