Info about My Rom:

you are using stock rom?
if i'm not mistaken, you need to unlock you bootloader via htcdev first, flash a custom recovery then root

than what step shall i take next...??

Errr your hboot confuse me LoL
Everytime whenever there is a discussion about hboot i would just read a bit then ignore it xP
You are already 's-off', which is better than 'unlock' with s-on.
You should have a custom recovery, i presume it is clockwork. to flash a new rom step.
I would give my post 1 or 2 days before trying it out. Because if i am wrong someone will correct me then we both can learn.

I am slowly forgetting this kind of details but I think that even S-OFF (which is definitely much better than unlocked) he still needs an Engineering bootloader to flash a recovery.

Branded or Unbranded?!?!

Hey guys. I have a hboot 2.xx and htcdev unlock with s-on. So I wanted to s-off to flash a new radio. But I have to downgrade.
The guide tells me that if my phone is unbranded, then I wouldn't have to make a goldcard. And they said that the phone is branded if you see the provider logo at bootscreen. I did have vodafone at bootscreen but I flashed fallout. So does that give me unbranded? I have a vodafone desire s from the netherlands

Your phone is still 'branded' I think. (Flashing a custom rom doesn't 'unbrand' it physically as such...)
Best test is get into FASTBOOT USB, and type in cmd:
Code:
fastboot getvar all
Let's see what it returns. Pay attention to the CID and Misc_version bit.
And why do you want to flash radio? It doesn't *really* give you much performance improvement in real life + gives you risk of (unrecoverable) hard brick if things go wrong. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
If you just want to 'debrand' fully I think you need to edit the CID.
It's still usually safe to make a goldcard anyway, in case you get into trouble (it doesn't hurt to use a old 2GB card that just lying round gathering dust.)
i prefer unbranded, but i dnt think it really matter when ur custom ROM'd up

I have had the same issue.
Try in boot loader you are able to connect to USB Fastboot , if yes then you can flsh a new rom with RUU . you can find in developement forum.
I suggest you to use RUU with 2.3.5.
can u go to recovery/fastboot,, if yes, then flash latest 4ext recovery ,, and flash a new rom,, if this dont work,, flash a RUU,,

Thanks buddy for suggestion

any possibility of getting an ENG hboot

just throwing this out there but im wondering if anyone knew or heard any rumors of an ENG hboot for this device?
Without s-off an eng hboot is borderline useless
You can't flash it otherwise I believe, I remember it cause a brick to s-on a eng hboot so I'd assume using our unbrick method to flash it would just result in a brick itself

Yes sir look through the dev section its somewhere in there in the first few pages
Any unsigned hboot will brick it. On hboot 1.09 and below its recoverable. 1.14 and above, it will do nothing. It won't brick because it won't actually write.

No don't do htcdev unlock again
But now that you are soff now.. You can simply flash a unlocked/patched hboot..
Check troubleshoot point #3 from my soff guide.. Link in my signature.. There a method to flash juopunutbear hboot is mentioned

I can't really say much about the tools you mention, but I can say that Rumrunner worked for me to s-off a Tmobile htc one s using Linux.
Not sure if that is an option for you. I don't think Rumrunner works on ICS, as I tried it on several devices that were ICS, including a htc one VX, and it didn't work until it had been updated to JB.
Hope this helps.
Ok ive download the Rumrunner and ina min or so will s-off
