I have had the same issue.
Try in boot loader you are able to connect to USB Fastboot , if yes then you can flsh a new rom with RUU . you can find in developement forum.
I suggest you to use RUU with 2.3.5.

can u go to recovery/fastboot,, if yes, then flash latest 4ext recovery ,, and flash a new rom,, if this dont work,, flash a RUU,,

You should ask this in the questions and answers forum.
It will look like a switched off phone and it won't start.
No, you won't affect the radio installing a new ROM.

RUU (or Shipped ROM whichever you prefer) will change all your system components (bootloader, radio, kernel, system, data, etc.) The custom ROM will change only the ReadOnlyMemory /system/ and kernel. Some files may be flashed on /data - it depends on the developer...
Edit: this thread was suggested for move to the Desire S Q&A section
Go outside.... Find a brick..... Look closely cause that's your phone after the radio brick.

If I choose wrong RUU, it can be happened ??? it's run eMMC chip from SAMSUNG.
What does your phone look like now when you switch it on? E.g. stuck on white HTC screen with 'quietly brilliant', stuck on white HTC screen without 'quietly brilliant', black HTC screen.. etc. Can you access the boot loader (e.g. take battery out, replace, press volume down key and power key TOGETHER)?

Errr your hboot confuse me LoL
Everytime whenever there is a discussion about hboot i would just read a bit then ignore it xP
You are already 's-off', which is better than 'unlock' with s-on.
You should have a custom recovery, i presume it is clockwork. to flash a new rom step.
I would give my post 1 or 2 days before trying it out. Because if i am wrong someone will correct me then we both can learn.
I am slowly forgetting this kind of details but I think that even S-OFF (which is definitely much better than unlocked) he still needs an Engineering bootloader to flash a recovery.

I don't normally suggest toolkits but I see u looking at wugfreshs toolkit so im guessing you are half way familiar with it. Use the flash back to stock with the soft bricked section checked. You are OK just take your time and breath and read before you really mess up your phone. You obviously are getting way ahead of yourself and doing things you don't understand. That's a great way to hard brick your brand new shiny toy.

No need to panic. It is not bricked. Just flash system recovery and boot in the fast boot mode.
Just check how to upgrade to 4.4.1 thread. They have factory image for 4.4 which you can use for flashing.

I wonder how you got this?
This could be in "developer" options, if developer option is enabled check to see if there is an option to show this and uncheck it.
