"This app is a All-in-One wallpaper chooser that contains wallpapers from various ROMs such as AOSP, AOKP, CyanogenMod, LG, Oppo, Moto, Sense, TouchWiz and more..."
Just a stupid question.
Do you have the legal rights to use the Wallpapers of these companys in your App?

hi, is this app set the wallpaper (in AOSP based ROMs) in HD resolution or does it crop it and apply it with small resolution like aosp gallery does ???
thank you for the good work by the way

Hey, I already wrote a review on the Play Store, but I think it makes more sense to post here, so ...
I really like the idea behind your app, but it needs a few improvements:
The Sense wallpapers from the HTC One are distorted. (They originally had a resolution of 1080x1920, as they were intended for a non-scrolling launcher).
I think each image on a page should have its own loading indicator (sometimes loading is really slow and it would be nice to have an indication that something is actually happening in the background...)
When previewing a wallpaper, changing device orientation makes the loading indicator disappear. And sometimes, loading never finishes.
This is just a minor thing: It would be cool if you could just swipe through pages instead of using buttons. Or maybe use and endless scrolling list?
Well, but since you are apparently already working on a new UI, my only complaint remains the issue with the wallpapers from the HTC One... are you planning to add support for 1080x1920 images, for non-scrolling launchers?

So you took other people's job to sell it for yourself.
With a free app it would be fare, but with a paid / add app ... doesn't it break the rule of XDA ?

WP tries to get as much wallpaper onto the screen as possible in a multi screen layout for scrolling. There will be some cropping if necessary.

Yes, thanks for the review. I presumed there would be issues depending on phone and launcher used. Each and every wallpaper gets converted, scaled to a specific size, and then is ran through pngcrush, which optimizes and reduces the overall file size of the wallpapers. There may be some minor quality loss. All of this is to hopefully improve the overall speed of getting the wallpapers and setting them. Its a trade-off, quality for speed. At least until I can make improvements for speed that won't affect quality so drastically.
And yes, most of your remaining concerns should be addressed in a future update.

Thanks for this good app i commented and gave 5 stars

Hmm, I hear this one every once in a while. Hopefully I can answer in a way that is understood
There are no wallpapers in this app.
What you are purchasing, is an app that will display wallpapers freely available on-line which can be pulled and applied to your home screen by this app.
That said, if at any time any one of those creators that I have credited would not want their wallpapers to be accessible by my app will have their wishes honored and I will make it so my app won't present their wallpapers to my app's users.
Hope this clears that up?

Well, considering that he took the time to gather ALL of these wallpapers, optimize them for various screen sizes, optimize them for file size, hosted the files on a server, made the preview images for each individual wallpaper, then coded the app to pull all that information from a server....I would say he deserves to offer a paid version of the app for his hard work in putting the app together.
Rather than focus on the work he put into the app himself though, you would rather consider him a thief because he's offering all the wallpapers that many people have already plastered all over the internet. He is making it convenient and easy for you to get all these wallpapers without spending hours with of time searching for each one and downloading them one at a time...THAT my friend is what the paid app is for....a way for those whom actually appreciate the work he has put into doing such to be able to pay him for the work he put into it.

I agree with the app. It's a 1 time fee for a paid service to do the searching and home screen application for you. There are other legit apps that do the same and some even less that that.

@wildstang83 Sony´s wallpapers are missing. plz add-in next relese. overall app is fantastic 5 Stars.

Just rated and commented, thanks for this it'll definitely save time when switching ROMs. I used to save wallpapers to my SD card but it's getting pretty messy and low on space.

Thanks for your reply!
The problem is not the overall quality, but the aspect ratio.
Some stock HTC wallpapers have a 16:9 aspect ratio (actually, 9:16 to be precise), to fill just the screen without the ability of scrolling left and right. It would be great if your app could support this kind of wallpaper as well...
Example:
real wallpaper:
and the version from your app (wrong aspect ratio):
Maybe you can find a solution for that...

@ OP - Do you have the Git hub source code for this projects available ? I would love to create an application like this but for my own wall papers.

Hey guys,
I'd be happy to add in the Sony wallpapers. If you have links to any stock firmwares that have the wallpapers in them and any new wallpapers over time, that would be great. If not, I can do a little research myself. Just keep in mind, if you help me out with the firmware to follow these guidelines:
The firmware must be from the device with the largest screen as possible. These usually contain the largest wallpapers which are easier to work with.
Please make sure whatever firmware you find is absolutely stock and not modified at all. I don't work with modified firmwares as the wallpapers in these firmwares could have been modified as well.

Actually I do have the source on my git, but I would recommend checking out cr5315's source first since his source is where a lot of my source came from. The FNV project is indeed a really great project to learn from

Do you want to have your clock included?
If you are a better graphic artist than me and you would like your clock parts included in this application then get in contact! Make sure these graphics are yours and that you are okay with them being used royalty free.
Guidelines:
- The PNG is 294x294 with transparencies.
- Clock face, background and uh... other stuff should fit inside 280x280 (or inside a circle that is 280 across).
- Hands should be in separate graphics (minute, hour) and the pin/center needs to be centered on 147x147.
- I can send some layered guides in layered Gimp (.xcf) or separated into separate PNG format if needed.
To Do/Future/Maybe/Like-to-haves:
DONE - 8 bit graphics, currently using 4bit (ARGB4444) graphics to avoid crashing.
- Option - Choose to launch Android Alarm Clock on next click (Pro?)
- Ability to load local custom images (Pro?)
- Create pop-up notification that asks the user if they want to customize the clock when it is clicked. Dialog would time out after about 2 seconds (configurable?). Would save from accidentally opening clock configuration when using touch screen.
SOME - Clean up graphics and add improved graphics.
- Pro Version? - Possible Pro-options: extended graphics, loading custom images, Date, etc.
DONE - Glass as a separate selection from face and shadow (current problem is that it would require displaying another bitmap. It currently displays one bitmap {built from canvas} under the arms of the clock.)
- Remember user selection after leaving and returning to configuration activity(s)
- Add the current date and/or day of the week and/or month in a few locations on the clock display.
- Add the option of displaying a digital clock (also skin-able?) in a few places on the clock
- Possibility of future clock Packs. These could be themed and also the clock package could be open sourced so that artists do not have to release their clock packs through me, but can publish them directly to the market. Imagine a Minimalist pack, a Deviant Art pack, a Girly pack (you know, hearts, rainbows…)
- Add Easter eggs

At this point the 2x2 clock fits a clear QVGA screen, and the chooser seems to work, even though it is a bit squished. I think my official line is that it 'works' for QVGA, but is not currently supported.
The clocks them selves should work on any resolution screen (though they should not be stretched past a 4x4 icon space). But the chooser is not optimised for very high or very low resolution, but should work just fine.
I have released 0.3 of the clock and will update the first post today. Version .04 should be coming out before new year and will contain clearer clock edges and higher color graphics to support better gradients.

Ok, please enable it in market for QVGA. Now I'm tested, it works correctly for all sizes (2*2, 3*3, 4*3).
Thank you!
Installed and running very well on HTC Desire, Thanks, and Have a great christmas..
Could be a seasonal theme, possibility..
barcode is not working, rapidshare has reached limit???
Would love to download but like previous post RapidShare has reached limits and QR code not working.
This looks great, I was able to make one look exactly as I wanted. Only thing holding me back from using it is no access to alarms when tapping it like the stock clock widget. If you could add in this functionality it would probably immediately be the best clock widget on the market and worth paying a couple bucks for.
I can't find it in the market and i can't download it. Could've you upload it to xda?

I'll second this comment -- the typical use case for a clock widget is to fiddle around with it for a while until you get one you like, after which you probably won't change it for a while. Once it is set up, it's much more convenient to be able to access the alarm when you tap on the clock.
If the widget provided easy access to the alarm, I would definitely use it since the clocks themselves look great!

Sorry guys. it should be available from the market. Just search for Custom Clock. Should be right at the top. I will have to check the links and either fix (or remove) the Rapid Share link. I will also try to upload the newest version.
Love the 'thanks' messages and the screenshots! i would love to see more screenshots! Maybe I will upload my current. Home.
I am hoping to release a newer version soon, and hopefully it it might be ready for 1.0 releasise. When that happens I may keep the AD supported option with fewer options and graphics. Then release an AD free version with full options for $2, $1 or maybe $.50. LOL
Working on some new graphics and adding a Glass option for the next release. v1.0 I hope to have completely costomizable colors, and maybe the options to load a user chosen graphic for the Face.

Wonderful. I look forward to seeing this evolve. 1x1 would be a great option for those sensitive to screen flora
Btw. Search market for "custom clock widget" and it will rise above the pay for dross that it renders obsolete.

Ha!. Thank you.
I will consider a 1x1 widget if I get enough requests. I did not want to clutter it up too much. (BTW it resizes well from 4x4 to 1x1 if you are using a custom launcher like ADW or Launcher pro.)

Reboot.
Series III is largely based upon a new look I have created for ELITE. I wanted to go in a direction that’s a little less “themed”
looking, and more like it could have come directly out of the box. My ultimate goal for the evolution of ELITE is a clean, professional look
that Sense UI started to bring to us. I do hope you like it as much as I.
A few remaining apk’s and png’s were optimized, making the ROM smaller in size, have a smoother feel, and handling even faster than its
predecessor. A few suggestions posted by you in the ELITE thread were also implemented in this series. I have themed this heavily upon
the newest version of Android “Honeycomb” while trying to maintain small pieces of Series I & II.
The Market itself gets updated from time to time and brings the themed Market back to stock green. Once an ROM release has been posted, there will not be an updated market until the next release is posted. To get around this and gain the themed market back you can...go to Menu/Settings/Apps/Manage Apps. Find Market and hit Uninstall Updates. Then either go to Titanium Pro and freeze Market Updater or a file explorer like Root Explorer that gives you read/write permission, go to system/apps and find Marketupdater.apk and rename it .bak. That will keep it from happening again.

I would like to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart…for all your continued help/support for me and each other. Especially
to the new XDA’ers who are new to flashing, and new to this ROM. What kernel is best for battery life seems to be the most popular subject,
and I appreciate those who give feedback on what is working best for you….in hopes it works best for others.
Thanks again everyone for your amazing support....
Thanks to: Aamikam for his work on optimizing all the apks and .pngs and for the best combination of animations. omegasun18 for all his hard work, contributions...and thoughts!!! Pseudoremora for the second post upkeep, and for framework mods. JsChiSurf for power control widgets mod, compact taskbar clock, 33 frame battery charging animation....and SO much more! Myn for Rosie setting app, and sound advice. Bustadroid for square glass app icons. Manup456 for wallpaper and insanly hot themed music app. Wes342 for help with animation.
Feedback is always welcome...I would love to hear your thoughts. Ideas and requests could very well make their way into ELITE Series III. Add-on's will be posted for those who wish to use other keyboards, music apps, email clients and more.
Check back often for updates to ELITE and be on the lookout for more exciting things.

Yup, that's correct. It can display both the weather and news if you'd like or have them display seperate information (personally, I prefer both).

The HTC music player was replaced with the MIUI player, which is far superior in my opinion. I will post an add on for those who wish to use the HTC player. Unfortunately the widget was left behind in the first build....sorry.

If you want better battery life try nets 4.3.2-cfs-nosbc-havs-less kernel... seems like a good rom so far, trying it out to see how it compares to KingsUltra... almost seems like its the same rom just with a different theme. Good work tho.

Another good suggestion is to flash the HTC Sense kernels #'s 17 or 15. A lot of people including myself have had pretty good battery life with them. As always though, this is a trail and error process.
Im in no way trying to down the rom, its a good rom, fast, everything works great... just looking into the build and it looks pretty much the same.

I will update this threads w/ more pics etc when I can. I replied to the Atom/Nemus project manager and told him to make a thread since I had made the previous Nemus (holy grail) thread and didn't keep it updated like i should, so once he joins & gets enough posts to link this thread can be deleted and his thread should be used, but I wanted to pass the knowledge until that happens.

Dear dskrilz,
I am the project leader of Nemus Launcher.
Thanks for introducing our apps in XDA developers.
I should deliver this thank message long ago, please understand that I had a busy time to handle issues.
Finally we upgraded our launcher to ICS version, newly designed and implemented for ICS and JellyBean.
If you have a ICS device, can you test our new launcher?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dlto.atom.launcher
Also I want to notice our new launcher to XDA-developers site as you did before,
but I'm not familiar with that site.
It will be helpful if you could give me some advice/tip for posting that forum.
Best Regards,
SeungMin

4.0+ ICS ONLY ...... bla bla ....... it won't run on your TI86 either :victory:
Here are some tips for those who were having trouble accessing some features:
Use Desktop Visualizer to make shortcuts w/ custom icons.
So I have downloaded the Launcher. It seems fast.
This launcher is a breath of fresh air. Very clean and smooth. One thing I would like to request is a Google Play link in the atom widget. Nice work
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
Whoah this has amazing potential, great job for a first release.
A minor feature request which I'm sure is coming:
custom icon for icons/groups on desktop.
Cheers, keep up the good work, greatly appreciated :victory:
Could someone post the apk for some reason it says it doesn't support my phone
Are you on running on ICS? Please don't post the apk, as I am not the dev and I don't want to do it w/o permission and I don't want to affect his Play Store stats. If you are on ICS and you've tried market spoof apps, and it still won't install, PM me and I will get it to you. I will ask the dev if I can post it meanwhile.
---------------
Just fixed the image links and made a little graphic. Feature list later.

China
I remain suspicious of all of these free Chinese apps. GO launcher and all the widgets, LBE, MIUI
If we went back 20 years, when I was a kid and had smartphones then there is NO WAY we would be using a bunch of apps from the Soviet Union. China is a modern Soviet Union. Has anyone done any real research into these apps? Decompiled, sniffed traffic, etc? Maybe I'm insane, but we need to start to look deeper into these apps from China.
Wow just found out u can resize folders I to bar style to show up to 5 apps in a 5x5 grid

What do you mean when you say you deleted folders? I have access to folders still, they're just not as visibly attractive as on adw.

Very fast, stable, and Smooth on Galaxy SL I9003, thanks
I tested on my HTC desire Z and this is nice! Look good, stable. Thanks!
I said that when they procure delete the folders, I meant that blacked out some values of languages that are not needed and left it lighter.
Some ideas to still going?
My opinion: Keep on android path, dont do what tsf did for example..going some completely different way compared to what google proposes...
Start looking on what Holo Launcher do..what ADW new version itself did..
And then start to improve..improve..improve..try to make it as fast as possible..as stable as possible..
I really like to try new launchers..i change mine launcher almost every week..and still not find some launcher that fit everything i want...maybe it could be borning here =D
Good luck on development! =)
Just to know..you will keep it open source?
depends what you mean by keeping it open?
The launcher code I mean
yes, I'll keep it open, out of respect for AnderWeb. : Cool:
Version 0.7 available for download, please be kind enough to pass tests and all possible subjects for further, hugs to all.

[APPS] [NO ROOT] Huawei EmotionUI Launcher, Livewallpaper, Weather App, and More!

Hello.
These are a few Huawei EmotionUI apps - the launcher, a nice weather-themed live wallpaper, weather and also a couple others. I figured I'd upload them because they're tricky to find out in the wild, especially since most Huawei ROMs are locked down into a hard-to-extract '.app' file. If you'd like any other Huawei things to be uploaded, just PM me and I'll see what I can do. :good:
EmotionUI Launcher:
The launcher is super smooth and opens apps blazing fast, on par if not faster than the likes of launchers like Nova and Apex. But, it's not really great in the way of customization... like, at all, unfortunately. You can change the wallpaper, move around apps, add widgets, and change screen transitions. That's about it. Also, in a rather iOS-like way, there's no app drawer, all your apps are on your homescreen.
Features -
- EXTREMELY smooth and fast
- Custom transitions: normal, perspective, windmill, squeeze, box, flip over, rotate, page, and cylinder. Page has wallpaper problems on my Nexus 4, not sure if it'll be a problem for you. Apart from perspective and flip over (which are both really nice), they're pretty run-of-the-mill transition effects found on most other launchers.
- Icon background shadow effect
- Up to 9 homescreens
- Custom widget selection interface (similar to HTC Sense)
- Notification counters on icons
- Folder support

Tablet Version (NOTE: I haven't tested this one, because I don't have a tablet. So I'm not sure if it works.): https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3lIkuqWWrmqMGJCNkF6UFdmcWM/edit?usp=sharing
Ascend Mate Version (NOTE: This version is for the massive Ascend Mate that has a 6.1 inch screen so it should resolve most people's complaints about the 4x4 icons being too big for their devices. Unfortunately, it kept force closing on my Nexus 4 so I wasn't able to test it. Thanks to MP2005 for providing the apk!): https://www.dropbox.com/s/7py0r1z535bl7hr/HwLauncher6.apk
Here's a picture of the launcher along with MeWidget:
Weather Live Wallpaper:
This is a really great live wallpaper, it's light on the processor and looks gorgeous. There's an option to synchronize with Huawei's weather app so install that too if you want that feature.
Features -
- Very Smooth
- Choose between the following weather conditions: sunny, mostly cloudy, cloudy, fog, showers, thunderstorms, rain, snow, windy, hot, cold, clear night skies.
- Synchronizes with the weather app to display current weather conditions

Weather App:
Thanks a lot to idhbar for posting this app. :good:
This is a superb weather app with gorgeous background animations like HTC Sense. It also includes the weather clock widget but it doesn't seem to work; probably the same problem that the MeWidget has. High-resolution screens might suffer from no-so-great pixelated visuals.
Features -
- Smooth
- Animated weather background
- Multiple location support and add/remove locations
- Auto-locate weather support
- Direct link to Accuweather.com
- Displays current temperature, high/low for the day, and also a 4-day forecast
- Synchronizes with the weather live wallpaper to display current weather conditions
Weather App Download (thanks again idhbar): http://db.tt/kCWLQCP3
Mirror: https://www.box.com/s/grfmibibfkpgewn7ycld
And some pictures:
MeWidget (NOTE: might not work!):
This widget is supposed to only work with the Huawei EmotionUI launcher, but unfortunately I couldn't get it to work. I figured I'd post it and maybe someone could figure out a way to get it working. I tried pushing it to system/app and fixing permissions but no luck. It's essentially a widget that lets you mix a variety of widgets into one - album pictures, a music player, a clock, the weather, things like that. It's really nice, and it's a shame it doesn't work correctly even if I try it on the launcher itself. It can be installed without pushing to system/app, but'll just display 'problem loading widget'. For me, anyway.
MeWidget Download: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3lIkuqWWrmqVFJsRnZFakNmd0k/edit?usp=sharing
ALSO: If you want more Huawei apps, check out this post by Team Android:
http://www.teamandroid.com/2012/04/29/huawei-apps-android-phone-download/
They successfully ported the following apps from the Huawei P1:
- File Manager
- Huawei Cloud (16GB free storage)
- Camera
- Music
- Keyboard
- Wallpaper Chooser
- Sound Recorder (replaces system app)
- DLNA app
I didn't test all of these, so I can't say they all work. I tried the Camera, Music, and Keyboard, and only the camera worked, the other two crashed. But you might as well give it a go, right?
AND ALSO: If you'd like to try more apps (or if the ones above might not have worked for you), check out my friend GalaxyUser's thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42359563
He successfully ported the following apps:

- Gallery
- DLNA
- File Manager
- Notes
- Music
- Profiles
- Weather
- Wallpaper
- Weather Live Wallpaper
- Keyboard
- Security Guard
- Handwriting App

In android 4.0.3 with screen HDPI resolution the apps are force closing. Any idea if these apps will run in this configuration?

I tried getting themes to work but they won't apply, it says it works but nothing in the launcher changes. If you'd like, I can post the huaweithemes.apk and also the themes that come pre-installed to see if you could figure it out. I haven't tested it much, I might need to set the Themes app as a system app or something. I'll experiment more later today.

Yeah I don't know why the MeWidget doesn't work. And I agree, haha, the icons are MASSIVE, it's better suited for a smaller phone because it was ported from the Huawei Honor 2 (4.5 inch screen).
It's version 1.6 of EmotionUI; if I'm not mistaken that's the latest version. :good:

I'll see what I can do. If you'd like, I can post the Oppo Weather app, I have that, and it's awesome, it has gorgeous animated weather like what's in HTC Sense. No widgets though, just the weather app.
