Do you want to have your clock included?
If you are a better graphic artist than me and you would like your clock parts included in this application then get in contact! Make sure these graphics are yours and that you are okay with them being used royalty free.
Guidelines:
- The PNG is 294x294 with transparencies.
- Clock face, background and uh... other stuff should fit inside 280x280 (or inside a circle that is 280 across).
- Hands should be in separate graphics (minute, hour) and the pin/center needs to be centered on 147x147.
- I can send some layered guides in layered Gimp (.xcf) or separated into separate PNG format if needed.
To Do/Future/Maybe/Like-to-haves:
DONE - 8 bit graphics, currently using 4bit (ARGB4444) graphics to avoid crashing.
- Option - Choose to launch Android Alarm Clock on next click (Pro?)
- Ability to load local custom images (Pro?)
- Create pop-up notification that asks the user if they want to customize the clock when it is clicked. Dialog would time out after about 2 seconds (configurable?). Would save from accidentally opening clock configuration when using touch screen.
SOME - Clean up graphics and add improved graphics.
- Pro Version? - Possible Pro-options: extended graphics, loading custom images, Date, etc.
DONE - Glass as a separate selection from face and shadow (current problem is that it would require displaying another bitmap. It currently displays one bitmap {built from canvas} under the arms of the clock.)
- Remember user selection after leaving and returning to configuration activity(s)
- Add the current date and/or day of the week and/or month in a few locations on the clock display.
- Add the option of displaying a digital clock (also skin-able?) in a few places on the clock
- Possibility of future clock Packs. These could be themed and also the clock package could be open sourced so that artists do not have to release their clock packs through me, but can publish them directly to the market. Imagine a Minimalist pack, a Deviant Art pack, a Girly pack (you know, hearts, rainbows…)
- Add Easter eggs

Pretty good, well done! Thanks a lot!

At this point the 2x2 clock fits a clear QVGA screen, and the chooser seems to work, even though it is a bit squished. I think my official line is that it 'works' for QVGA, but is not currently supported.
The clocks them selves should work on any resolution screen (though they should not be stretched past a 4x4 icon space). But the chooser is not optimised for very high or very low resolution, but should work just fine.
I have released 0.3 of the clock and will update the first post today. Version .04 should be coming out before new year and will contain clearer clock edges and higher color graphics to support better gradients.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Ok, please enable it in market for QVGA. Now I'm tested, it works correctly for all sizes (2*2, 3*3, 4*3).
Thank you!

Installed and running very well on HTC Desire, Thanks, and Have a great christmas..
Could be a seasonal theme, possibility..

barcode is not working, rapidshare has reached limit???

Would love to download but like previous post RapidShare has reached limits and QR code not working.

This looks great, I was able to make one look exactly as I wanted. Only thing holding me back from using it is no access to alarms when tapping it like the stock clock widget. If you could add in this functionality it would probably immediately be the best clock widget on the market and worth paying a couple bucks for.

I can't find it in the market and i can't download it. Could've you upload it to xda?
Tbo-art.

I'll second this comment -- the typical use case for a clock widget is to fiddle around with it for a while until you get one you like, after which you probably won't change it for a while. Once it is set up, it's much more convenient to be able to access the alarm when you tap on the clock.
If the widget provided easy access to the alarm, I would definitely use it since the clocks themselves look great!

awesome clock i am digging it , nize work my brotha from anotha motha

Sorry guys. it should be available from the market. Just search for Custom Clock. Should be right at the top. I will have to check the links and either fix (or remove) the Rapid Share link. I will also try to upload the newest version.
Love the 'thanks' messages and the screenshots! i would love to see more screenshots! Maybe I will upload my current. Home.
I am hoping to release a newer version soon, and hopefully it it might be ready for 1.0 releasise. When that happens I may keep the AD supported option with fewer options and graphics. Then release an AD free version with full options for $2, $1 or maybe $.50. LOL
Working on some new graphics and adding a Glass option for the next release. v1.0 I hope to have completely costomizable colors, and maybe the options to load a user chosen graphic for the Face.

Wonderful. I look forward to seeing this evolve. 1x1 would be a great option for those sensitive to screen flora
Btw. Search market for "custom clock widget" and it will rise above the pay for dross that it renders obsolete.

Ha!. Thank you.
I will consider a 1x1 widget if I get enough requests. I did not want to clutter it up too much. (BTW it resizes well from 4x4 to 1x1 if you are using a custom launcher like ADW or Launcher pro.)

Hi,
I've been working on a Live Wallpaper that uses physics and g-sensor to display falling dolls in the background.
I'm about to submit it to the market, but I'd like to have some feedback about it. Tests on my Nexus were good, but we never know...
Features I plan to add:
- Settings activity to manage various parameters with physics
- Applying 'impulse' forces when touching screen
- Ability to change the 'skin' of the dolls
Any feedback welcome, thanks

Going For this right now..
GodDriven..
Not G-Driven For who KNows..
Downloaded, will try this and report back in a bit.
Edit: amagod, this is the cutest thing I've ever seen. I nearly died of cute.
Right, the little 'droids look a bit pixelated at the edges. Particularly noticeable with the head and antennae.
I'd suggest adding, if possible, a setting to set how many dolls you want falling and rolling around. Being able to change the background would be a welcome addition, too.
Just minor nitpicks, though. Excellent work, honestly, and the first live wallpaper I've ever seen that has physics. It actually reacts to the phone being shaken! (Was wondering why one of the dolls was stuck at the bottom; on impulse I gave the phone a shake and it came loose. Awesome.)
Nice, works ok
A bit too slow i suppose, i think you should add the ability for more Droids
Also one of them has just seemed to get stuck in a corner and not want to move
Try shaking your phone if they get stucked
I'm still working on improving the physics to allow more droids / speed.
this **** is sick...its not slow on my phone...but agree ability to add more androids and maybe give 3 sizes to pick from for droid size..besides that awesome job

Ditto, on what he said.. Right on the money!
Shaking this thing is hilarious fun.
Drops my phone's performance some, but admittedly I'm running a Desire ROM and Sense is something of a memory *****, so it may very well be smooth on other people's N1's.

Jesus Christ.. Another Ditto.. Try On Manup Desire.. It's Faster.. More Zip Aligns, etc.. On Cyanogen, This is smooth as butter..
Ditto, Ditto, Ditto..
Hahahaha.. GodDriven Is Back Baby...
Concerning pixels on the edge, this is due to the Android image I used that had a blue background.
I made the background transparent, but had to remove some pixels that were a bit blue. Hence the pixaleted edges.
I'll try finding another pic.
It's definitely slow, but really fun too !
Something a little faster (ie better framerate) and with the ability to chosse the background image would be absolutely perfect !
Take a look at an app called "Chalky" , its just the same concept as this but not a live wallpaper of course.
When i was looking at the live wallpaper that is what a compared it too as it is the same concept of using the phones sensors and physics to control something
Now compared to Chalky on my phone this is slow, but hey that might just be my phone if everyone else is running super fast
But it is still very nice and works well, and when they got stuck a good shake got em bak out

It's supposed to get stuck. Part of the physics--if you shake the phone, it'll come loose.
I've optimized bitmap rotations a little.
New APK attached in first post, with 9 droids falling instead of 4.
Noticabley smoother than the previous version
Option to add our own wallpaper to the background and this will be my wallpaper from now on

Yep, couldn't follow on the provided link when I downloaded the second time.
EDIT: Just do a Market search with the app's title. It should return with two results; one for the free and another for the paid version.
can u put it on androidpit.de =) it would be nice because i cant pay with googles service.
haha , now i can remove clocks widget! saves processes
wow the donate version is much better! *Purchased*
MHO:
-selectable date format (dd/mm/yyyy - mm/dd/yyyy)
-an option to swap top/bottom colors it could be helpful
-something about the battery meter, something simple? like an extra line or even text?
Purchased! I second the wishes for selectable date format, but option for 24hr clock is also very useful.
thanks for a great live wallpaper!
option for 24hr clock plz
and thx !
Suggestion,
1. Date format configuration, dd/mm/yyyy, d/m/yy and etc
2. Time format configuration, AM/PM, 24 hrs.
Time and date is too big for QVGA screen (240x320px) X10 Mini. Maybe you can make a fix ?
just purchased the donate version
absolutely love the look, hope you keep on developing !
alpha doesn't work on the droid x.
EDIT: for some reason now it is, the top alpha wasn't working for the color blue. very strange.
great wallpaper!
Wow, 2 thumbs up on that one!

Currently using, very nice widget. If possible the option to use custom fonts would be nice, also the ability to choose the fill colour as well as the outline.

Looks nice. Tap to open app is cool. I will be honest. Right now it's just like every other digital clock out there. Some things I can see that may set you apart.
1. A different name. everything is named "X clock" name it something like "Tom's Super Sexy Timepiece of the Future"
2. Add a feature to adjust scale. I have a big open space on my home screen for a nice free digital clock.
3. Integrate a multi-alarm system and/or datebook depending upon your level of ambition
4. Animations? Have a little man in a funny suit blow a horn on the screen when the alarm goes off and you have to punch the little [email protected]#tard to shut off your alarm
5. Multi-language? I dont speak any others but I have heard some people do
6. Borders around the clock
7. ability to control font and scale of date separately
who the hell am I? Lol. Looks nice, will continue using it. Does it auto-update?

Done, just two quick examples I have on my phone right now.
Posted 0.2 also added another screenshot to show the canvas layout ability.
Your dock is good
By fully editable, does this mean it will work on a Tab, 5x1 or 5x2? It looks really nice, and I am looking for something for weather on a Tab. Thanks for your work on this, even if it doesn't work on a Tab I will put this on my Fascinate or D1.
I played with it for almost 10 minutes and couldn't even figure out hoe to show a clock. All i see are color and alignment settings. Color and alignment of what i can't figure out.

Yes it supports those widget sizes. It is very easy to add additional sizes if one is desired.

After you add the first panel (canvas or stack) then you long press to add other elements. After talking with another user I see there is a need for a simple editor in addition to the advanced editor. I'm open to ideas on how that should work.
Such a good work!
Thanks, knoxcoder!
Got some FC's while making a template.
Going to restore my layout from mClock tomorrow.

Send me the logcat output when you get FCs so I can track them down.
As a side note, I have the weather ready. I don't have all the features that I want to support but at least the basics work. My next task is to make a create wizard that will walk you through the steps of making a simple layout. Once I get it ready I'll release the next version.
If you could add missed calls/sms/email in a simple minimalistic way like TxMissed Widget is supposed to do (it's really buggy, and dev has no time to mess with it) I would love you long time! And it's something I would definitely pay for.

That shouldn't be too difficult. I was also interested in what devmil did with Minimalistic Text and tasker. My plan was to replicate that as well.
Please do! And I'm sure I'm not the only one who would really want it, even if you put that feature in a pay version.. Otherwise you need to get your donate to me button added.

Integrating tasker variables is a great idea. Maybe even as attributes e.g. text(%TXTCOLOR;%TXTSIZE;%TXTFONT).
How about calling it Midget?
.hehe

The way I handle properties should allow tasker variables easily. In fact you should be able to set everything through them if you wanted.
Google is getting ready to allow in app purchases so I think I will just have a free version that you can donate from the app.
Midget doesn't quite work. I'm looking for something that describes it. Like make your own clock or minimalistic text.

Thank you! Some people get confused - when you first place the widget on the screen you need to resize untill it's all visible!
the app is at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codescape.seventime
this is a very good app.. simple and nice design with minimal permission required..
keep up with new styles..
some suggestions:
(1) the "Overview" tab in the app seems to be unneeded.. (unless you have some future use of it in mind..) the "Styles" tab is visually more appealing and imho can be put as the main view..
(2) the upper-right corner 3-dot menu is redundant as all the options there can be invoked via the upper-left menu button.. in fact i like the upper-left menu button more and it is more conformant to the material design..
(3) the lower-right "Color editor" icon is redundant as well..
[edit]
now i got what the "Overview" tab does.. its a preview of the changes i made.. so now my point (1) suggestion becomes this: the preview is not applied immediately after i save my changes, but when the next time i start seven time.. could it be applied as soon as the changes are saved?

Thanks a lot for this feedback! I was in doubt about "Overview" tab since I want to place a cardview with the new features when I update it (for the next update I will make styles open as the first tab). For the changes, I think I might have forgotten to update it in OnResume. Thanks for mentioning it!
Will clear up the settings in the main menu. Would you keep the setting in the other activities?
Also, I have a few questions:
1) Should I move style settings from the settings to the tab with cardviews?
2) Any suggestions for the color editor?
Thanks a lot once more. Really valuable comment!

i think keeping the settings in the main menu should be enough.. in other pages (activities) it is not really necessary, and may even be a bit confusing..
and yes, i think moving style selection to the "Styles" tab is more intuitive.. i initially thought i could select style in that tab, but found out its a place for demo.. well its already a good idea, but will be even better if i could tap to select a style, and then immediately go to "Overview" to see its effect (after you fix that OnResume().. )
for the color editor, as i like to precisely control the colour values, it would be better to provide a way to directly input the RGB (or Hex) values..
thx for your work.. :good:
Can make it posible to be 2 line when resizing? And a simple size changer for hour n minutes.. That should be nice

Once more, thank you for your comments - I've already made:
- Added HEX dialog to input the color codes (you can see the current color ther in the edittext "hint"), I am thinking of making adding a ViewSwitcher to make it possible to add RGB manually too!
- Cleaned up menus in the activities
- Made styles the first tab (I will make some fancy icon for new styles I'm working on now to see what style was added in the update)
- Working on 2 new styles
Also, some comments from Google Play suggested taking colors from the background image. I will try to impliment that too as soon as I have more free time - will dive into Palette API (hopefully it's not hard!)

Ah, got it! Thanks for the suggestion! I was thinking about it for a while, but did not make it yet. I am going to make a second widget layout for that, so there will be horizontal clock (one line) and vertical clock (two lines, hours on top and minutes on bottom) and you will be able to switch it in the Settings. WIll update it after a few updates :good:
New update, sadly, without new styles - but the next update I am going to post with 2 new styles!
What's new (1.0.4):
+ HEX color code support – add your favourite color using the HEX code!
+ New tap action: Alarm clock
nice app it works really well
1.0.5 New update! Vertical layout for clock!
+ Vertical orientation added (beta)

Great update.. Appreciate the vertical style.. Just my opinion.. Change the vertical to 2 row.. At first i thought the clock will be in vertical.. Lol.. Currently stable on my device..
Btw.. Maybe can have a theme that use current system font.. As ppl sometimes changes e font on their device to suite their like..
Keepnthe good work sir.. ?????

Thank you so much! I will change it in the next update
Sadly, I cannot add font - the clock uses only images  But, I can make more styles (currently working on it). '
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've made a small update. It solves RuntimeException crash (hopefully - I've made some improvements and now the service is less heavy when it updates the clock). Plus, I've added one new simple style!
UPDATE 1.0.6.:
+ Improved energy-efficiency (fixes crashes on some devices)
+ New style: Blocks
In the next update I will fix some issues with the layout and spacing Stay tuned!
thx for the update..
i would like to request for an option to hide the ":" in horizontal layout, just as in vertical layout..
i think it would look very geeky and cool..

thx for the update..
had problem with v1.0.7 but fixed in v1.0.8..
about that new "digit 1 spacing".. i think its not good looking with the uniform spacing digits.. there are just too much spacing when the time is, e.g., 11:21.. is it possible to have an option to turn off this spacing (and have the display like the old versions)?
i thought you mentioned the digits were images, so maybe this request is not easily done.. im okay with that if this is the case.. thx anyway for the nice work!
