Is there a root injected stock ROM available for 8013 UEALI3?
(without any other tweaks... just root injected stock)
I have run out of space on my 16GB 8013, and only want to root so that I can use link2Sd to move app data to external sd card.
I did find root injected ROM for UEALGB on 8013 in below link, but I have UEALI3 version of firmware.
http://rootgalaxynote.com/galaxy-note-10-1-root/how-to-root-galaxy-note-10-1/
Also, is there any other legit (without root) way to move apps to SD?
I have already tried adb shell pm set-install-location 2. it does not enable move to sd card option in our 8013 tablet.

Use this method you mention above. Install mobile odin after flashing. Download your current firmware from sammobile. Use mobile odin to flash the firmware you downloaded from sammobile, ensure you select inject root in the settings in mobile odin.
This will give you your stock firmware with root injected.

Edited for clarity.
So odin is able to inject root in an untouched image from Samsung? I was under the impression that you have to inject the root in the image first (not sure how to do that) and after that use odin to flash the injected firmware.

Yes flash UEALGB with odin. Once this has been flashed, boot up, install mobile odin and flash your current firmware with the everroot option on.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. I'll have to dig around a little to see if it's doable in win 8, not sure if the drivers are the same.

The simplest way is probably to flash the stock rom again. Then by default with no other options checked you will be stock. Details of Mobile Odin here
But you will loose root....
If you download the Stock rom from sammobile then you can flash it through mobile ODIN. You need to download file (zip file), unzip it and put the .md5 file on your sd card or internal storage. Run Mobile ODIN, if you haven't run it before it will need to download some files, then pick OTA/update and select where you put it. Select the file, make sure everoot options are ticked and wipe cache and dalvik are ticked too... Click on flash firmware and it will ask if you want to check the md5 checksum, do this as it checks if the file isn't complete or is corrupted, it won't flash. If all is ok it will ask again giving the usual warnings. If you aren't scared off by the warnings it will flash the firmware. I tend to have a greater than 50% charge when doing this and usually have it plugged into power.
After flash completes and it loads into Android you will still have root but will be on stock recovery. You will need to either use PC ODIN or mobile ODIN to restore this...

If someone hasn't taken any updates prior to the new one, once it releases for their device, do they need to apply each update individually prior to the newest one?
Can anyone confirm that flash is still usable in JB?

afaik, its not the German firmware.
Finally Chainfire released this version to support the lastest sammy devices.. get it here..

Can you explain how this works. I am currently rooted with Framaroot and have not graded the latest update last week or the one this morning which i suspect was sent out to fix some of the issues from last week. But anyway, can i use this with the Framaroot..thx
This is an app for u to install on ur device for flashing tar files.. It works just like the pc version of odin. About the framaroot thingy i'm sure it'll work as long as u flashed the proper kernel for ur device.

Framaroot doesn't work with the new software update. You need to use the Note 8 toolkit or CF-Root in order to get root again.

You may use rooted device with framaroot, then apply update from SamMobile via Mobile Odin with EverRoot. This method i using on devices, where i cannot flash CWM (owners do not want raise flash counter).

Mobile odin and titanium backup are the most useful and essential apps I've ever bought - this is my third rooted android device using them.

get the .tar file with twrp recovery. copy it to your ext card. open mobile odin. press on Recovery, choose ext card, find your file, insert it. and then go to the very bottom and press flash firmware. everything will take just a while. after flashing your Note will reboot already in twrp recovery.
hope it helps.

Hey. I tried using the search feature but perhaps my keywords are wrong or just to broad. I'm running stock, rotted using zedomax's thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831152). I want to get the latest OTA, but when using the software update, of course I get the error for the tablet being modified. There seems to be a process in order to get the OTA, but I can't seem to find it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

As you know when you are rooted you can not get OTA updates, you need to install the update manually.
You will have to goto http://samfirmware.com/ register and then look for the firmware that is for your device and region in the tab "Check Your Firmware".
After downloading the firmware follow the directions by Zedomax on "How to Unroot/Unbrick Galaxy Note 10.1! [Factory Firmware]"
it is the same process and you will lose root.
You could also install via Mobile Odin and choose to inject root, su, and mobile odin on installation. I am also stock rooted and use this method to stay up to date and maintian root.

There is no need to unroot. This method roots the firmware as it is installed.
Download the firmware from sammobile to your SD
Open mobile Odin
Use mobile Odin to locate firmware on SD
Check options you want- root, inject su, inject mobile Odin, etc
Push flash firmware.

I don't think I understand correctly, but you can reboot tab (to download mode) and pc, and try again.
If it didn't work, try flashing a stock firmware and give it another try.
Go to sammobile.com and download a appropriate firmware.

hi
i have managed to flash the latest btu firmware root and keep knox 0x0.
i used mobile odin pro and used the latest flashable zip in this thread thanks to mdiaz33685
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2760452
you are looking for a zip file called "N9005XXUFNF4_hlte_Stock_Odex_Not_Rooted_NoKnox.zip" this zip is normally a cwm flashable zip
next flash the zip using mobile odin pro and use the ever root option.
you should have the latest firmware and knox at 0x0
hope this helps and not a fluke on my behalf
edit: i was coming from nd3 firmware and used towelroot to root
edit 2: instructions step by step from post further on
On ND3 firmware root with towelroot
Install Mobile Odin Pro
Download zip from http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358557264
On SuperSu i had Survival Mode on
In MOP select the zip file you have downloaded in the OTA section
Make sure EverRoot and all options are ticked including wipe Dalvik cache
Flash the zip then when booted up go to SuperSu update binaries and you should be rooted and knox at 0x0.
Modem can be flashed separately using the full tar file from samfirmware.com and flashing in MOP selecting only the modem fields.
