Samsung Galaxy GT-I5500M?

My wife currently has a galaxy and is on Android 2.1update1. If I go into settings, about phone there is no system update option and if she dials *#*#2432546#*#* it doesn't do anything. Does this means there is no updates ever? Can she do a manual update?

Have u tried the normal Samsung Kies program to check for updates when you plug it into your USB?
If there are 'official' updates you can download them that way.
Otherwise you can flash to Froyo (2.2) using Odin (unofficial way)

my samsung galaxy ace plus was hard bricked
i cant do anything , any button lose function and odin cant detect my ace plus..
how can i fix my prob?
usb jig will solve it?
im just applying custom rom on it (atomic v6)
what ca i do know pleassee help

I have the same situation of your. This is the process I did:
- flash CWM recovery
- Nandroid backup
- copy custom rom (atomic v6) to internal sd
- flash it in recovery mode
- the process was successed and I can boot the device
- (My first fault is I haven't rooted my device yet)
The device work great and smooth (haven't rooted too). Later, Its my second fault that I didn't notice the difference of baseband (I'm in Thailand), so it hadn't thai language and I want to restore to the stock rom. I turned off the device and... Big headache come across to me! The screen stay on "samsung" logo for long time and it blink when I press power button. So i remove battery about 5 minutes and reinsert. Nothing happen!! I cant do anything. Can someone help him and me???:crying:

Have you guys tried odin yet?
I think it is compatible because my friend messes up too like that........download the stock firmware, put phone in download mode, open odin, connect too pc and make sure you set anything up right ( android sdk needed)

For you i suggest you install a zip flashable "near" stock ROM and when the phone respons then put it back with odin and stock ROM
( for odin you need: android sdk)

Go to samsung service station; dnt say anything(root.cwm). Dead in pocket(also same problem for me...in v6).
Dont worry ...its normal in flashing

The phone wont turn on, wont charge, wont do anything anymore. My samsung has died...

i don't had any option at that time
i submitted phone to Service Center
they took 10 days to change its motherboard
if it happens again in future then use USB JIG as soon as possible after bricking to get any hope back:fingers-crossed:

Ohh guiesss i jusr read all of ur comments about our galaxy ace plus GT-S7500.
I really love this phone but as time pass after taking this phone m trying for searching custom roms for our cell just like custom rom ics, jellybean etc.
But i didnt get anyone of it which works on our cell.
& then i realise there r no more roms available for our cell excepting that three roms atomic rom , alacritous &

Really telling i didnt like any one of them :what: but we dont have choice to fo to select roms hence i was thinking to install any one of them but after reading all bricked cell comments i would like to wait till more safe n attrective roms cames available for our smartphone

Sorry buddy...
But on net u will get results for unbrick galaxy ace but didnt get for ace plus.
Its sad thing but our smartphone is not populer one hence we didnt get accurate result for that.
But my suggestion is if u can handle cwm or download mod then try to flashing ur smartphone.
Thats d last way.

There is no way to repair hard brick of ace plus
If you are in warranty you can go to service center and can get mother board replacement
I have got replacement 2 times so there is no need to worry

Hard brick... Omg there is not way to unbrick that ...u can recover ur device if it is softbricked or bootlooper...
Its hard brick so u have to go to care centre of samsung..and they will charge u heavily

I'm really really new to android so i dont know much about the technical terms most of u use. Im using a tab 7.0 plus P6200. The problem im facing is that i can't seem to upgrade my tablets version from honeycomb to ics. The updates are already available in my country but it doesnt work. Kies just tells me 'your device does not support upgrading through kies', need help. I'm not sure because im using a Mac version of Kies but its getting really annoying. Are there any solutions to solve this matter without using a PC? Thanks.

Hi thanks for u reply. I was trying to do the ODIN steps found in alot of forums. But the thing is, i cant use Odin becquse im using a mac. It doesnt support somehow. Any other way to do it?nim been trying snd trying but nothing works. I downloaded windows 8 to my mac, doesnt work as well. HELP!

I have a mac as well and received the same error message in regards to my P6210.
If your tabby can connect to the World via WiFi, then go to: Settings/About This Device/Software Updates - and select Update.

I've already tried that more than 10 times. Hoping for it to how me i have an update but it just doesnt come. Any other ways to upgrade my tablet with a Mac since bloody Kies is crap?

Hey Member90, thanks again for the advice. What are the exact steps to use if i want to use mobile odin? I just downloaded mobile odin but they say 'Super Access not found, are you rooted?'. I rooted my tab about a week ago. Not sure why. Any ideas?.

Yeah, u need root 1st..then open mobile odin, navigate firmware option to ur file, then scroll down n click flash..it will take several minutes..n dont forget to save ur battery atleast 50%...
Bout 'super access not fount', i hav no idea..do u hav app called superuser in ur drawer??

Probably he is not rooted. Follow the guides on rooting and then use mobile Odin. If you say you're already rooted, probably you just need to grant superuser access to mobile Odin.

Hi all pls help me i had installed the cm-12 lollipop on my s3 neo. I have been using it for a month without any problem but yesterday it started crashing so I installed the stock rom and it was okay it charged as normal but it didn't recognize it at the pc as USB it only charged so I decided to restart the phone and when I connected it again it didn't charge or recognize it as USB plus help

Thanks for using XDA Assist See if Drivers on your PC are correctly installed else uninstall and reinstall Check if USB Cable is broken try to use some other cable and see if it works

What firmware are you on?, marshmallow? If so, no, you have to flash cf auto root via odin which is a pc program

Dear, every1 how do i root my s6.
And before so what backup process to make flashable backup if something fails.
I can compile kernels and roms but for sony only wil dive into Samsung soon aswell..
I have al drivers installed adb and some more.
Also odin alrdy but not sure if good version is best for this on windows 7 pc or Ubuntu.
