I see 2 seperate interies
Android Phone

===AND===
Portable Devices
|__ ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T
The weird thing is I can not access my tablet file's via Explorer ( Windows 7 ) 64 bit, the tablet doesnt even show up as a drive, but I can see my files via My Computer ??!??
In the settings of my tablet I have USB debugging turned ON. Under storage settings I see two choices: 1) Media Device (MTP) and / or 2) Camera (PTP). #1 (MTP) is checked marked.
Any thoughts ??
Thank you

Device Manager looks correct. In Explorer, the tablet should not appear as a drive, but as a portable device, and you should be able to access the files in it.
Does the Transformer say "Connected as a media device" in the notification area?

Does the transformer mount as a removable disk in windows explorer when connected to pc with the supplied cable? i tried a few times but only asus sync shows up. I've already installed the usb drivers.

Did you go into Settings -> Applications -> Development and enabled USB debugging?
You should definitely see the Transformer as TF101 mobile device. Did the drivers install correctly? Check in the Device Manager!
It shows up as a Portable Device in My Computer (Win 7), I can double click on the icon and see the drive which I can browse.

The Transformer, or more correctly Honeycomb, doesn't use USB mass storage so no, it doesn't mount as a drive. However, it does use the media transfer protocol, so should show up as an MTP device, assuming you are running Windows 7/Vista, or XP running Windows Media Player 10+.
Regards,
Dave
Did some googling and found that i need to have Windows Media Player 10 or higher. I was still on WMP9
thank u guys and UKseagull for the pic, that certainly helps.
Hey guys,
for days I tried to get my O2 Surftstick to run on my Microsoft Surface Tablet. I'm not sure if there are any Drivers for the build in
USB Modem (Huawei E173), but thats not the mainproblem. This is that the device has 2 USB Modes. The one is a mass storage device with the Windows Drivers (this is the device detected by Surface) and the other one is the USB Modem mode. The Problem ist that the USB Modem is normally detetcted after installing those Drivers on mass storage. No Problem on Windows 8, but in Windows RT there is no way to install a 3rd Party Software including the Drivers. Without the drivers the USB Modem is not detected and I cant even see if there would be drivers for it. I tried a lot of things, f.e. porting all Software Data and even the Registry Entrys to my Surface. The result ist that my Surface Shows the Software (in my case Mobile Partner) as installed,

but detects still only the Mass Storage. I tried some other things, but they all had no effect, so I wrote an email to
Huawei asking for Windows RT Support but they didnt asnwer. I think if we would find a way to Change USB Mode it would
be a benefit to make more Surfsticks from other carriers working.
Please help, I have no more Ideas but would really like to see my Surface working with my Surfstick,

O2 Huawei E173 3G Dongle not working yet, you need Connection Manager installed, but I tweeted O2 UK about it and they are working on a WinRT app and expect to release it soon.

Hello everyone,
I'm trying something that I haven't tried before..
Two storage devices via our bacons USB otg..
I connected the USB otg cable to a USB ports extender and connected a mouse and one pendrive.. Worked.. Both the devices worked.. No external power source..
Now coming to two storage devices.. I am able to see only one. The first one connected to the phone.. However, I'm not able to see the second device..
But, when I remove the second storage device without unmounting, the error shows that I unmounted a storage device without unmounting.. Now, that's funny coz my device actually detected the second storage device. But I'm not sure how to access files in it..
Any help will be great..
Here's a picture of what I've been using...

The mouse and USB storage combo works, 2x USB storage devices, I'm able to access the files via the first one connected but not the second device.
But while removing the second device, the error pops up telling that I removed a device without unmounting.. Which means its detecting both the storage devices. But the question is how to access both the devices???
Thanks,

Found the solution... Use stick mount by chain fire.. Both the storage devices are visible...
Mods please close this thread..
Thank you..

hi,guys.
just the title said, would you have any idea about that?
pls tell me...
thank u all!
I think you can download a kind of PC suite, whichever you use mobile.
Just like me, I often use MoboPlay to connect my phone to my PC via WIFI. This software supports USB/WIFI connection.

You can use shareit. Its a software by lenovo which needs to be installed on the PC and as an apk on the phone. Gives you nice speeds while transferring and has a nice UI

you can use file commander the program can open port to your computer
if you have windows you could use the file manager "Total Commander" with the plugin "LAN plugin for Total Comander"
If you have any network shared storage (generally an SMB/CIFS share). I'd presume someone having such a share woudl have their computer be able to access it, I would also presume your phone is connected to the same network just wirelessly. Either use the built it file manager (if it supports it) or use something like Solid Explorer or ES File Explorer to copy files to/from this share. (You'd have to add the source under the LAN section of ES.
Just download the app called Portal. It uses wifi and that's all. And its fast.
Hi folks:
I have a Galaxy S7 with a dead screne. It won't take any touch input either.
so i bought an OTG Adapter and have a keyboard connected.
I managed to unlock the screen blindly.
But now i need to activate USB-Debugging so i can access the phone via ADB or SHELL.
But i can't :/
Than i thought about a quick and simple way to either stream my image somewhere else OR use a remote program like TeamViewer or similar.
The thing is, most apps need to be configured after installtion, or click this and that and than this and swipe away the tutorial and so on.
It would be perfect if there was an app, which i do install, start and only need to click one or two things and get it running.
Streaming inside my LAN only would be perfect. So i can access it easy and quick as long as its in my local network.
there are images and other stuff which i want to backup. i dont want to buy a new screen cause i will buy a new phone in 2 months anyways.
Does someone have an idea?

If on Android device USB-MTP mode is activated then it is possible to map any Android device ( i.e. its user-data ) as a drive letter on Windows PC without the need of running ADB commands: All you need is to install MTPDrive driver on Windows PC and having a common USB 2. a0 / USB 3.x cable at your hands.
It's at 100% working!
