Galaxy S7: A way to mirror or stream with a dead screen - General Questions and Answers

Hi folks:
I have a Galaxy S7 with a dead screne. It won't take any touch input either.
so i bought an OTG Adapter and have a keyboard connected.
I managed to unlock the screen blindly.
But now i need to activate USB-Debugging so i can access the phone via ADB or SHELL.
But i can't :/
Than i thought about a quick and simple way to either stream my image somewhere else OR use a remote program like TeamViewer or similar.
The thing is, most apps need to be configured after installtion, or click this and that and than this and swipe away the tutorial and so on.
It would be perfect if there was an app, which i do install, start and only need to click one or two things and get it running.
Streaming inside my LAN only would be perfect. So i can access it easy and quick as long as its in my local network.
there are images and other stuff which i want to backup. i dont want to buy a new screen cause i will buy a new phone in 2 months anyways.
Does someone have an idea?

If on Android device USB-MTP mode is activated then it is possible to map any Android device ( i.e. its user-data ) as a drive letter on Windows PC without the need of running ADB commands: All you need is to install MTPDrive driver on Windows PC and having a common USB 2. a0 / USB 3.x cable at your hands.
It's at 100% working!

[Q] Using CDMA like a GSM telemetry link?

Hey guys, wasn't sure where to post this but I figured I would start here.
I want to know if I would be able to use something like a remote desktop or another way to retrieve data from a serial cable to a computer over the network.
I am on a Formula SAE team for my school and a member from last year had built a car computer for use of a telemetry link. I know he attempted to use his GSM network but T-mobile capped him so low to where it didnt really ever work right.
Right now I have a Sprint Epic 4G Touch. I was wondering if there was a way to link my phone to either the car computer or the actual CDS data acquisition system just to see live data coming from the car as opposed to logging the data and viewing it later.
I still have to boot up the car computer and see whats all on there as far as specs go but I did snap a few pictures.

Basically its just a serial port out from the data acquisition unit to the computer. Just seeing if there was a way to go from the computer to my phone for the telemetry option. Or if there was a way to fab up a serial cable or unit directly to my phone so I can see the raw data at a computer nearby.
Any information regarding telemetry would be much appreciated. Thanks!

[Share] SnapPea: Manage your phone from your pc easily

Hi. Found this nice program that will allow you to manage lots of things on your phone from your computer. It installs easily and all you need to do (at least all I did) is make sure usb debugging is turned on in your phone. I am rooted but I am not sure if root is required. Best thing to do is go to the page for the program and watch the video and read what it can do.
Go to: SnapPea.
Here is screenshot of program connected to my phone:

New SM-G920F with Smart Switch : Device locked ?!

Hi,
I can't connect my SM-G920F to my PC or Mac. I have tried without Smart Switch first. No luck. It is recognized and a SAMSUNG device but won't mount.
Then with Smart Switch it says "The device is locked so you cannot connect to it. Unlock the device and it will connect automatically."
I passed the lock screen and I am on my home screen. I connect it to USB (debugging on and off) and still the same thing.
Also tried removing my Fingerprint lock screen. Same thing.
Am I missing something here ? I am getting crazy and desperate !
Please help !
Also I never have the choice to select MTP or PTP. Just the Charger Notification.
I bought it Factory Unlocked and updated it to 5.1..1 using Odin.
Thank you.

I found a way. It is clearly not a good one but it works.
I put it in Download Mode, then run Smart Switch, entered my model name and S/N. Restored the firmware to the latest version. This did nothing after the restart but it might be a good thing for the next step anyway.
Next thing is a Hard Reset to factory settings. This did the trick. My phone was detected directly in Windows as a Galaxy S6. Nice and easy. Now Smart Switch recognize it as an S6 also.
I also have the pop up "Connected as a media device" on my notifications which I never had back then.
Well, I had an automatic restore after that so it wasn't a pain after all.
Good luck !
Reflash 5.1.1 again via odin...

[Q]How do I take screenshots of my Phone from PC?need help..just noob..

Hi everyone.
i wanna use my computer to take screenshots of my moblie (HTC desire
But it seems that moblie system does not have this feature. (in fact i can' t find where it is...
Do you recommend some good software or plug-in with this feature for me?
thank you sincerely
Generally speaking, mobile devices carry their own screenshots features. but it seems that computer doesn’t finish the capture of screenshot unless you use PC suite.
I usually use MoboPlay to take screenshot when I use my computer. it’s very convnient because you just need a data cable to connect your phone to your computer.
you can just follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Go to the “Device” section of MoboPlay, where you will see your iPhone screen along with a “Screenshot” button.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Step 2: You can click the “Screenshot” button to capture a screenshot of your iPhone. The screen that it shows is the current screen of your iPhone.
When the screen is changed on your device, it also gets automatically refreshed on the PC suite. After taking a screenshot, you can save it to your PC as a PNG file.
Step 3: MoboPlay also has an option to view your iPhone in full screen, which can also be used to take screenshots. Click the “ToolBox” section and choose the “Fullscreen” option.
After that, you can view your iPhone in full screen. When you’re in a “Fullscreen” mode, click the “Screenshot” button in order to capture screenshots of your iPhone.
I think this is the easiest way to get what you want.
hope u like it

GT-P3113 - Data Cable - Pinout/Wiring Diagram?

I have P3113 - Tab 7.0 Wifi/IR blaster. The cable that came with it (ebay) does not seem to support USB data connections. charges just fine. I bought another wire online (this was years ago) to no avail, still no data connection.
In comparing to the image here: https://pinoutguide.com/visual/gen/samsung_galaxy_tab.jpg (with pins being numbered 1 on the right and 30 on the left, I have pins:
3USB_DP_CON I/OUSB Data +4USB_DM_CON I/OUSB Data -
7V_BUS_1 P 8V_BUS_1 P
15Gnd P 16Gnd P
30Gnd P
Which seems like it should (?) work for data transfer with a computer. (make a lot more sense than the inverse)
I've looked around and have seen a lot of pintouts to modify things to support audio or whatever else, but does anyone know if the pinout I have is valid for USB data transfer? Is there something I can do to get the data connection working? Or do need to play some roulette with cable buying? (Any recommendations?)
I've popped the casing off the plug and it seems like wiring there should be mapped correctly, though it does look like it's cheap for sure, but there's no resistors or anything, wasn't sure if there needs to be for "standard" data usage.
Any thoughts would be great. I'm not looking to do much more as to hardware hacking right now, just getting it rooted and then more or less a simple controller.
