I root my htc explorer installed custom roms on it.
Now when I am watching movies and photos and surfing, the graphics are poor , the scrolling effects are not fluidic as were before so I flashed back using ruu but the problem still persists
even the icons on the home screen are not sharp and with unsmooth edeges
earlier I flashed
unofficial cm9
xperia ics based on cm9
bravia and xloud engine
I think my graphic chipset is not working

Hi, recently I've installed a rom,
and now I have 2.5 gb less than before in the sd-card.
When I install a rom, where does it put it ?
I have less space now and it's bothered me :X
(I removed the zip file of the rom from the sd-card).
Ohh and I installed TWRP, but replaced it with CWM. Maybe the TWRP is still on my sd-card and take space?

If i'm not mistaken, there should be a CWM recovery to resize your cache partition. Of course, your device should be rooted.

you SHOULD know that when you are using cwm recovery, you are tamping with your device, and if it goes wrong it could or could not be fixed.

@LalyGirl, The ROM should be in the system partition. If you have Titanium backup it should tell you the break down of of internal storage, sdcard ect..
or get "Quick System Info" app.
As for recovery, if you flashed CWM it is written to the recovery partition so it will overwrite the TWRP you had.

Just wipe data, cache, dalvik and then flash the rom... it will be perfect then. I also faced similar issue on my first try of custom rom.

Ive just rooted my phone and am keen to try a new ROM.
I am using TWRP 2.3.3.0 and Rom manager
Im just wondering about a couple of things and need a bit of help please.
First off i know i need to back up my stock ROM but every time i try i get a failed message "E:unable to locate sd-ext partition" do i need to partition my sd card to create backup?
After installing a new ROM will any of my existing data, apps etc be left on the phone or will i have to restore all that? I have it all backed up with TB anyway so its not a problem if i have to but i cant find any info on the process regarding the One s.
Can anyone recommend a good custom ROM to start off with?
Thanks
Viper2-0.0 it's your best bet and I'm not sure of you can back yup stock Rom .

Hey all ! I flashed cm10.1 alpha #6 about 2 weeks ago and to my surprise it was really doing well and I had no plans about switching ROMs again. But after a week I thought about flashing PAC ROM. I made nandroid backup of cm10.1 and flashed PAC ROM . everything went well but when I wanted to go back to cm10.1 , I restored its backup. After it was restored I selected reboot system now from recovery and after then my device just showed me boot animation and was stuck on boot animation only. I waited for 2 hours ( seriously 2 hours without my phone was the worst part ) but still nothing happened
Ultimately I had to reflash the whole ROM again
This same problem happened for the second time when I restored my flyrom v4 backup and then after using it for an hour / I restore the backup if c10.1 (this was the new backup which I made after reflasing the rom) . still it didn't boot , it was stuck on boot animation only
Now I want to try out apex sense but I'm scared if I want to go back , I would need to reflash cm10.1 again
Somebody ease help me out I'm Seriously stuck with cm10.1 now
Regards
Why do you restore nandroids?? Just do a clean flash.. If you absolutely have to restore a nandroid, i would recommend clearing the cache and dalvik after restoring(if you havent already done it)..

Exactly. I always keep the apks of my apps, have a vcard file of my contacts and use SMS Backup app to back up all texts. Nandroids may have incompatibility after switching back from a different rom.
Guys it takes a lot of time to flash a ROM then set it right with our choices and nandroid backup is the fastest option BTW this problem is only with cm10.1 / never had this problem with any other backup of stock ROM or flyrom or build 8 by dereas
God knows what's causing this

There's also PhilZ advanced cwm recovery that can handle both cwm and twrp backups. But I didn't find its scrolling smooth enough and it also had some GUI restart bug so I switched back to twrp
