2.Run superwipe.zip
3.Flash the Rom
First boot will take about 7-8 mins

Ya . It reboots after unlocking the ring... Don't unlock the ring for 4-5 minutes...
Let it reboot several times... Don't go for another flash...
Wipe every single thing except SD fat32 partition.
Don't flash any extra stuff along with ROM in recovery.
And:
Create ext3 with mini tool not recovery itself..

Even I faced similar prob. The problem is with the class 4 SD card. Use a higher class card, maybe class 10 .
If u want u can use flyrom v3...its awesome with no random reboots and works with class 4 sdcard!!

Less space in sd-card because of the rom ?

Hi, recently I've installed a rom,
and now I have 2.5 gb less than before in the sd-card.
When I install a rom, where does it put it ?
I have less space now and it's bothered me :X
(I removed the zip file of the rom from the sd-card).
Ohh and I installed TWRP, but replaced it with CWM. Maybe the TWRP is still on my sd-card and take space?

If i'm not mistaken, there should be a CWM recovery to resize your cache partition. Of course, your device should be rooted.

@LalyGirl, The ROM should be in the system partition. If you have Titanium backup it should tell you the break down of of internal storage, sdcard ect..
or get "Quick System Info" app.
As for recovery, if you flashed CWM it is written to the recovery partition so it will overwrite the TWRP you had.

some questions regarding flashing roms

currently i am following the rooting tutorial by jaggy jags
my question is i am planning to install this sense 4 rom by derefas
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943775
why do i have to create "YOU NEED TO CREATE SD-EXT PARTITION BEFORE FLASHING 512MB MIN" ? for this rom and can i create this partion with the help of recovery
so i am currently on stock rom and will be rooting so Do i have to install some diffrent recovery to install this rom ? or the recovery A310E Recovery.zip will be fine
what about kernel do i have to flash diffrent kernel or the kernel is provided in the rom and if not then which kernel should i flash?
And if suppose i want to return to stock rom i found this link of stock roms http://www.mediafire.com/?qwr4n3phnfr4a
should i flash directly this roms to return to stock without unlocking the boot loader ?
And if suppose i made some mistakes and i am unable to acess the recovery is there any way that i can flash the stock rom ?
new to the Htc family coming from xperia
Thanks in advance
FD1999 said:
SD-Ext: You don't need, but it is recommended. And you are normally able to do so using recovery
The kernel is included in the ROM, no need to flash another one. But if you want, you can flash another kernel after flashing the ROM.
And installing one custom recovery is enough.

Help! Wierdest problem alive !

Hey all ! I flashed cm10.1 alpha #6 about 2 weeks ago and to my surprise it was really doing well and I had no plans about switching ROMs again. But after a week I thought about flashing PAC ROM. I made nandroid backup of cm10.1 and flashed PAC ROM . everything went well but when I wanted to go back to cm10.1 , I restored its backup. After it was restored I selected reboot system now from recovery and after then my device just showed me boot animation and was stuck on boot animation only. I waited for 2 hours ( seriously 2 hours without my phone was the worst part ) but still nothing happened
Ultimately I had to reflash the whole ROM again
This same problem happened for the second time when I restored my flyrom v4 backup and then after using it for an hour / I restore the backup if c10.1 (this was the new backup which I made after reflasing the rom) . still it didn't boot , it was stuck on boot animation only
Now I want to try out apex sense but I'm scared if I want to go back , I would need to reflash cm10.1 again
Somebody ease help me out I'm Seriously stuck with cm10.1 now
Regards
Why do you restore nandroids?? Just do a clean flash.. If you absolutely have to restore a nandroid, i would recommend clearing the cache and dalvik after restoring(if you havent already done it)..

Exactly. I always keep the apks of my apps, have a vcard file of my contacts and use SMS Backup app to back up all texts. Nandroids may have incompatibility after switching back from a different rom.
Guys it takes a lot of time to flash a ROM then set it right with our choices and nandroid backup is the fastest option BTW this problem is only with cm10.1 / never had this problem with any other backup of stock ROM or flyrom or build 8 by dereas
God knows what's causing this

Ya the reason of rebooting is that cause :
1 ruu u installed is broken
2. The ruu u installed is not compatible with your phone .
So try using cm11 rc1 . here is the link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2535682
And try using to increase your ram as well .Go here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735281
