I have been receiving an error code 129 on my Touch Pro 2 (Sprint) for sometime now. I finally brought it into Sprint and they WIPED my phone and said it was a software issue. 3 days later the same error message. I brought it back to Sprint and they gave me a brand new TP2. 4 days later I am still receiving the same error message (on my new phone). I brought it back to Sprint today and low and behold they WIPED my phone again, this time they did not put anything back on it, no contacts, no nothing. When I asked them what was wrong this time they said and I quote "DO NOT SINK IT WITH YOUR PC", HUH seriously, I have a WM phone and a Windows PC and I can't sink my phone. They recommended to put everything back on manually and see if the error happens again.
I am going CRAZY. Anyone ever see this before? Its NOT a text message I am receiving, its an actual ERROR, it appears on the top tool bar as and "!" sigh, when I click on it is says Error 129. When I get the error I can not make calls, send text or get on the Net. I have to reboot my phone to use it. Then when I reboot I have noticed my family gets repeated text messages. And once I get the error it comes back constantly.
Any help would be appreciated. THANK YOU!!

If you're experiencing the 129 data connection error, try calling advanced tech support and have them rebuild/refresh your network settings and see if it fixes you. I'm baffled as to the why part.
In any case, I found a listing of all the Sprint error codes and what really catches my eye is the fact it says this:
Error Codes - RFC 2002 (129) 129 Administratively Prohibited Mobile should display "Unknown error. Sign in failed. Please try again. If the problem persists, turn your phone off then turn it on again."
Maybe wherever you were with your phone Sprint wasn't letting you use the net at that time.
I also found the following info you may want to try:
Go to www.sprint.com and log in to your account.
Under My Sprint, click on the Settings and Password link.
Under Account Admin Tools, click "wireless web access."
Make sure your phone number IS NOT CHECKED on this page. If it is by chance, your data has been "shut off."
You may want to check it, save it, and then uncheck it. It could cause something to "refresh."
Also, check Settings -> Connections Tab -> connections -> under Sprint click on "Manage existing connections" and make sure your "sprint #777" is there.
If not, settings are as follows:
Name of Connection : Sprint
Model : Cellular LIne
Number to be dialed #777
Username/Password/Domain are blank
Advanced - Use server-assigned IP address is checked (on both tabs)
Use Slip is UNCHECKED
Use Software compression is CHECKED
Use IP Header compress is CHECKED
You need to soft reset after adding.
Other things to try:
Also make sure your data connection is "on" in the comm manager. I know that is a duh, but who knows.
Start > Settings > System Tab > Update Profile
Phone Dialer > Menu > Options > Services tab > Internet > Get Settings
If you're feeling ambitious with that one, you could then initiate custom NAI entry to device (client-initiated IOTA) by taping start.
That's about as much as I could turn up. I hope something works for you.
I bought my phone outright not on contract so i figure it should be unlocked but seems it isn't.. If i was to call Telus in Canada here would they give me the unlock code for free or would they charge me???
Edit: Well it actually worked and i just used "This Video" on instructions to do it.. It just left a few things out or at least made it harder to see on the video
1. In order to edit the Credits from 1 to 11, you need to enable a setting. Hit F11 in fiddler or click on "Rules" then "Automatic Breakpoints" and enable "Before Requests" otherwise when you run the samsung app it'll just tell you it doesn't have enough credits.
2. Another thing to remember when doing this is now whenever the "Client" Line pops up in Fiddler your going to need to manually tell the program to progress using these little Yellow and Green buttons.. if you don't the Samsung Unlock app won't do anything and it will seem like it froze.. It hasn't its just waiting for you to tell Fiddler to move to the next step..
3. And one more is to make sure before bothering to unlock to make sure your SIM doesn't have a password on it.. I noticed it causing the network unlock to reset whenever i rebooted.
ffcloud2000 i suggest to remove [Q] and question marks from title cos this works.
i did it today on my SG3 i5800 and i can confirm.
it took a while till i got it right and then i saw some instructions below video posted by some guy:
FIGURED IT OUT!!!!!
The only problem I had is with changing credits from 1 to 11.
This is done as follows:
1. enter user name and password and click [Connect]
2. Switch to Fiddler and select the line having word "client" at the end
3. Click Yellow button to see the text
(NOTE: most people miss clicking the yellow button first, which will open the text for editing)
4. Go to credits and type "11"
5. Click the Green button
6. repeat the steps whenever having line "client"
to clarify:
after you hit [connect] you go to fiddler and find line that has word "client" in it. mark that line and hit YELLOW button on the right side. then you change that credit to 11 and then you hit GREEN button. you ll notice that SRS holds when you hit yellow button and continues after green. also when you change those credits from 1 to 11 you ll notice that on SRS it is also changed to 11. wait a bit and you ll get codes.
i tried those 2 links above and those methods didn't work for me. couldn't find code.
I unlock today two Galaxy i5800, mine and my girlfriend's phone.
The first I take about 1,5h or 2h to understand what I have to do, the second phone take about only 2 minutes
It is really easy, but you need to know what have to do before.
PD: So to unlock insert another SIM with a different company (SIM without PIN code!), when ask for a code insert de NCK code that you read with the software.
I need help with this. Can't go through with it.

What are you having a problem with?
I have Galaxy 3 i5800. Tried following steps in the video from the first post. I get "Invalid procedure call or argument" error in the end, in the SRS program.
I even cannot get enough times(as shown in the video) of that Client2010 line in Fiddler. That guy in video gets that line like 2 times more than me, but in my case it just stops showing, after I've clicked "Run to Completion" on the last client2010 line.
Edit: I will write down here the steps I take and what happens.
---------- Post added at 05:29 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:02 AM ----------
I am not able to post links yet but here is a screenshot of my steps:

And then I get that "Invalid procedure call or argument" error in SRS.
Try running the Programs with Administrator.. I ran into errors also but i'm on Windows 8 so it might have been my issue
I did run everything as administrator.
I have read on SRS website that for SRS to work you have to run it on 32 bit computer. I just installed 32 bit windows and didn't work, everything is the same.

Try using Compatibility mode.. change it to a different version of windows and retest
Just tried. Didn't work.
Tell me, in which state exactly the phone must be when doing this. And which exactly sim card has to be inside? I didn't yet try without a sim card.
I just had mine plugged into my computer like normal like i do to charge it.. You have to remember to change some settings on your phone though and change them back after you finish
Code:
1. Go to Menu - Settings - Applications - Development -> USB Debugging
2. Type *#7284#, select USB > Modem
3. Type *#9090# and click on usb_diag
Did that. Except for *#9090# part because my phone doesn't show usb_diag but I read somewhere that if it doesn't, it doesn't matter
Damn... I'll just buy the code for unlocking xD.. I'll wait few more days, see if it works out somehow

thank you
On dialer I tap *#*#.....blah blah blah, enter test in mode, then info, then clic update buttons (the two on the bottom)
AND I ALWAYS GET IN THE TEXTBOX SMSC "00" without quotes.....
What is wrong with my i9023 bought in switzerland?????? Is a bug of android or a fa tory bug related TO HW?
Should i use the warranty after relocking the bootloader obviuosly?
Maybe i can throw it out of the Window
PS my Sim works perfectly on other phones, but this problem is frustrating because i have a great phone that can not send SMS!!!
Heelp!!!
Love samsung
If you're trying to tap on dialer the combo to see your data info from the mobile service like: *#123# it won't work, is a known bug on nexus and there aren't any solution for that.
On sending sms is really strange, if u're using a custom rom, just ask about this on the Rom topic.
Cheers

Search on google how to enter message center number (SMSC) on android, because that's what you're missing.
THIS METHOD IS DEPENDANT OF THE TOWERS NEAR YOU. PLEASE READ THE END OF THIS POST TO SEE A QUOTE FROM LEADPOIZON ABOUT THIS.
Alright, after searching time and time again. Trying time and time again... And Failing time and time again... (jejeje) I was finally successful at sending multiple messages through the HTC Arrive... I feel so stupid for not trying this as one of the first things but hey... You gotta deal with your own stupidity at times ... jejeje.
Anyway, what you guys have been waiting for...
HOW TO REMOVE THE 160 CHARACTER SMS LIMIT ON WP7
(I can only try this on the HTC Arrive as I do NOT have any other WP7 device)
I HAVE TESTED THIS ON ANSAR's CUSTOM ROM'S (16.04 TANGO V1 8773) DFT's CUSTOM ROM (Freedom V1) LEADPOIZONS ROMS (ALREADY INCLUDED IN SETTINGS ON BOTH 7.5 AND 7.8 ROMS) SIANTOS ROM (WP7.8 ALL)
BUT AS OF NOW, ITS DEPENDANT ON THE COMMUNICATION TOWERS NEAR YOU
Use the included REGISTRY EDITOR on EITHER ROM's to edit entree:
1.) Go to HKLM\Comm\Cellular\SMS\Router\CDMA and change the Contantenation entry from a 0 to a 1
2.)Select the EXIT from the Registry Editor
3.) Go to your text messages and try to send a 161+ character text message to YOURSELF
DEPENDING ON YOUR LOCATION, YOU MAY RECEIVE THE MULTIPLE MESSAGE... IF YOU DONT, CONTINUE TO HOPEFULLY TROUBLESHOOT
4.) REBOOT YOUR PHONE!!!
5.) Once your phone is back up, go back to the text hub and click on RETRY SEND to send the text message.(This message will leave this time with no response from the Messaging App.)
***WAIT A MINUTE OR TWO TO RECEIVE THE MESSAGE, IF YOU DONT RECEIVE THEN FOLLOW THE NEXT STEP***
6.) Go back to your text hub and TYPE A NEW 161+ character message and try to send yourself again. This time you should receive 2+ messages after going through the network.
You can combine this tweak with my unlimited MMS size tweak and you are good to go!!! You can now have unlimited SMS characters and MMS size... jejeje
(For the MMS post, go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1606865 )
THERE YOU GO... 160+SMS MESSAGE IS POSSIBLE THROUGH WP7... HTC ARRIVE... THANKS GO OUT TO ANSAR AND DFT FOR THE ROMS AND A SPECIAL THANKS TO LEADPOIZON FOR ALL THE HELP.
`-`-`-`-`-`UPDATE REGARDING THE COMM TOWERS, IF YOU HAVE ISSUES, PLEASE READ`-`-`-`-`-`
SINCE THERE HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT SUCCESS STORIES/FAILURES WITH THIS TWEAK WE HAVE BEEN PURSUING A "GLOBAL" FIX... JEJEJE. AFTER MUCH TESTING, LEADPOIZON CAME UP WITH WHAT WE THINK MAY BE FINAL RESULTS...
leadpoizon said:
MY FINAL RESULTS:
This method is dependent on the towers near you, because of the following*:
Some Mobile Phone Operating Systems are designed to split up texts whens they are sent over the 160 character limit before they are sent to the network (even dumb phones can do this). Windows Phone does not seem to have this capability, it sends your message in its' entirety to the network and hopes that the network can sort it out into split texts. The problem is, not all Sprint towers seem to support this. For that reason, Sprint completely disabled the option to send a text over 160 characters.
When you know this method will work**:
1. Make the registry Edit (Reboots is not really needed, WP dynamically monitors the registry, it seems.)
2. Send yourself a text over the 160 characters. (It should allow you to after the registry edit.)
3. The text will give you an error either instantly or in a few minutes.
4. Reboot, if you want (just to be sure.). Then, resend the same text.
5. It will send without errors and you should receive the content back in more than one text. Done.
When you know this method will NOT work**:
1. Make the registry Edit (Reboots is not really needed, WP dynamically monitors the registry, it seems.)
2. Send yourself a text over the 160 characters. (It should allow you to after the registry edit.)
3. The text will not give you an error. After a LONG time (an hour or so, you will get the error.)
4. During the time between you sending the text and receiving the error, your MMS and SMS will be broken and you most likely will not receive or be able to send texts.
5. Reboot your phone and things should be back to normal. Change the registry back to default value to avoid making an accidental text over 160 characters. Go yell at MS and Sprint.
* Only speculation after my trials
** YMMV

I've tried this registry key before without success, but I tried your directions anyway. I'm running the DFT Freedom ROM, but I never get the first "can't send" message. After rebooting, I can send texts like normal until I try to send one that is 161+ characters long. Then all messages fail to send, regardless of length until I reboot again. There has to be some other setting or registry key change that you have which, in combination with he CDMAConcatenation entry, allows it to work on your handset. I believe you did it, we just need to figure out what the magic combination is!

I would agree with you except that I have reset the phone (Even FULL FACTORY RESET WITH ANSAR's)... Flashed to DFT and tried it, then flashed back into ANSAR's rom and tried it again... It worked when I did exactly the top... For some reason... I litteraly made this the ONLY edit on those ROM's to ensure it worked... and it did...
EDIT 1: And you did follow to the letter correct? No other texts until the process was done? I am currently downloading a STOCK ROM... I will flash to it and try, then I will flash back and report my findings... Again, as of now, I have been able to follow the directions I have posted and been successful 100% of the times...
I can't follow to the letter because I never get the "can't send" message. Otherwise, yes, I've followed the instructions exactly. No other texts incoming or outgoing besides the ones in your instructions.
I wonder if it's dependent on a setting at the tower or on the account within Sprint's systems that allows this?

I was thinking thesame thing... to an extent... You know how Microsoft was resetting devices as they were being unlocked? That is, once you synched with their server, your unlock would be gone...
When I first tried this it did not work... I gave up that day and came back to it yesterday... I have to say that the tweak was in my system for at least 24hrs... maybe there is something that has now bypassed this on MY particular account? I dont know...
Also: I just flashed a stock (Well not unlocked/tweaked/or anything) ROM and did a full factory reset, then I updated my PROFILE and PRL just to make sure that no settings were left on the phone from the previous flash. I then proceeded to flash the DFT ROM and all I had to do was the registry edit, when I went to the messaging... I sent the 161+ sms...
I dont know... Id have to say something flicked the switch... on one side or the other... Would you mind checking tomorrow throughout the day to see if this may be the issue...
If this is the issue, it makes sense why nobody had found it yet, they did the edit and did not let it get "registered" in their phone??? jejeje... Too many questions... jejeje
Interesting theory. I'll keep the setting on and try again tomorrow to see if there is any change. Thanks for the help!
Worked on my Ansar 8773 V1 install! Thanks! Only complaint I had with this phone up to now.

Yeah, I just wish I knew why it wasn't working for dandrayan. Not enough to flash DFT Freedom to my Arrive though
Thanks Man. It worked for me without rebooting on dft. I made the change, and tried to send a 161 test to myself. It sent fine with no error and I received both texts within a minute. Thanks!
Awesome work! Now to release a ROM.
Cant wait to see what you bring to the table man! Thanks again.
I'm using the Ansar v1 rom and this reg edit doesn't work for me. Does it depend on area? I'm in the north jersey. When I try to send a message to myself longer than 160+ characters, I either get no reply whatsoever or I get the following error "can't send message Try again".
Any suggestions? I tried rebooting.. updating prl.. updating network profile.. doesn't work for me.

when u get this msg...
1.) REBOOT the phone.
2.) Go back to sms and click retry... it should go but no response for a while...
3.) type new 161+ sms and send to yourself again.
Let me know.
EDIT: And I know you probably have tried this but just give it a shot again... Also, go back to the registry and re-edit the string, save again and click MENU then EXIT to leave the application. REBOOT and try to re-send

Yep, ive been texting more now that the limit is gone... I dont have to worry about my limit being reached... So ive been sending multiple part messages to everyone... jejeje
Anyway, to be safe and to hold some proof (not that I need it... jejeje) here is a picture of my HTC Arrive (left) and my wife's Evo 3D (right). I sent a 3 part message and she received every one of the pieces... I made sure my phone had nothing on it (yes, reset it AGAIN... jejeje) as you can still see the RED accent color... jejeje...

Cool, thanks. There must be some reason why I can't get it to work.
Time to find out why... Did you have to do that procedure after you reset the device to factory settings, or did you just do the registry change and that was it?

Just went to the REGISTRY and changed it... That was it. Didnt have to do the procedure after the first couple of times that I tried it... I do have to say that whe I try it I do it with a CLEAN INSTALL... I dont know if that is the difference in my success since I flash the ROM squeaky clean and do the edit from the beginning (since I have been testing didnt want something else to mess with this...)
Dont know what is the issue... Some people have reported to be working fine, others are having issues... hmmm... dunno what to say at this time...

so, I'm just a lot frustrated. I have been asking for my bootloader unlock code for about a week now without success. Several emails have been received and they keep asking the same thing. Because the "normal" error received mentions try another IMEI or MEID or your verification code is wrong they keep telling me to try again and use the correct verification code
I would really like someone to call Huawei China and get my unlock code directly from them. Any takers please? Thank you.

Have you used this email?: http://pastebin.com/RYSvQq21
And did you include a network information screenshot from Settings> About phone> Status> Network on your phone? They asked me this to show my non-chinese carrier. I also emailed them a screenshot of my Wonda Mobile receipt. The more info you give, the better. I got my bootloader unlock within the day after doing that.
You can use the ENGLISH WEBSITE for this: https://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin/unlock/index - it will redirect you to login and then take you to the EMUI 5.0 features page; simply re-type the page https://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin/unlock/index, and it will take you to the ENGLISH version of the bootloader request page. This is where you should take your screenshots. Enter the CAPTCHA correctly but DO NOT PRESS ENTER or else it will just refresh the CAPTCHA, and it won't match in your screenshot. Just click your mouse out of the CAPTCHA, and it will look like you entered it correctly. YOU MUST USE 3 DIFFERENT CAPTCHA examples for IME1, IMEI2, MEID, so they know you attempted this 3 DIFFERENT TIMES - JUST HIT THE COMMIT/SUBMIT button once and the CAPTCHA will refresh itself. Click out of the CAPTCHA box before your next screenshot.
Use his email example with your information correctly entered into it plus the following attachments:
1) IMEI1 failed screenshot with its own CAPTCHA
2) IMEI2 failed screenshot with its own CAPTCHA
3) MEID failed screenshot with its own CAPTCHA
4) *#*#2846579#*#* and choose 2. Veneer Informations -> 3. Other info screenshot from phone
5) *#*#1357946#*#* screenshot from phone (your sim card must be in it to show your network name at the top)
6) Settings> About phone> Status> Network screenshot from phone
7) Screenshot or a picture of your proof of purchase - I just took a screenshot of my email receipt and cropped accordingly. (this is optional)
They kept asking me for the same thing again and again as well, until I changed the language of the phone to Chinese, and made sure everything I sent them was in Chinese.
I also told them that I sent them the information and screenshots several times already, and I sent them an email every two hours, so that they'd want to just give me the code to get rid of having to deal with me.
It worked.
I can speak Chinese. But I am sorry that I am not clear about unlocking issues.
Hi all, thanks for the advice and offers of help. I actually got a response from Huawei China over night and it included my unlock code. Happy days.
