I have searched the forum before and while some people have suggested it's a hardware issue, having done some more research it looks like it was either a missing library or a kernel element, though the missing piece of the kernel could have been a driver... oh well, sorry for the repost I guess.

I see. NP man, just a friendly reminder... I've literally looked up the chip online (after getting the chip's information off of the actual device - i have pics if anyone wants them) and our version is the same as in the gs2, but missing the secure element.

Actually isn't T-Mobile coming out with SIM cards with built in secure element? Think there supposed to be for the new isis payment system.

It has the secure element as said by ISIS mobile wallet co. The sim card is needed to store credit card info which is the secure element. It is only compatible with ISIS though. And also we need a update for the blaze to make ISIS downloadable first.

There are ways around the Play store's download restrictions. I still haven't received them, but I'll toy around once I do.

Funny, the thread title is "[Q] HTC Thunderbolt on AT&T?"
And people wonder why the first thing said is, search for it...
Allow me to spoonfeed
ATT=GSM/HSPA+ (correct me if theyre the same thing)
Verizon=CDMA/LTE
Allow me to shed some knowledge on the real retards in this forum. When the BB STORM 9530 its Verizon but used a simcard therefore I was able to unlock it and use on ATT and tmobile.
Just like everything you read theyre two sides I figured I try Google didn't really clarify. So i figured I come over to the actual forum where people actually try to crack these things to get the maximum use out of them. But instead I get smart replies to a simple yes or no question. It's retarded to think such "smart" people cannot respond with a simple yes or no.

Why didn't you respond to me? I typed in "Thunderbolt works on AT&T" in google and that was RIGHT THERE. The thread, which was posted March 22nd - almost 2 months ago, asking the same thing with the answer right there. So when you say you searched, you mean you didn't do anything.
And if you had read after you searched, you would have found out that the SIM slot is only used for 4G.
It's retarded to think such a "smart" person would do such a thing.

The bolt uses an lte sim card. AT&T uses a GSM sim card. Won't work.

'taint no such thing as a "lte sim" or a "GSM sim." Verizon uses a UICC which has both CSIM and USIM applications on it. Modern AT&T phones would have UICCs with USIM. Not being able to use a TB on AT&T has nothing to do with the "SIM" (correctly, UICC) card.
The TB simply doesn't support GSM-type technology. There's probably a frequency issue, but that's moot.

you're partially right.
It shows that it's compatible on the play store site, and i was able to push the app to my phone, but it gives a service provider compatibility issue error when you try to open it. I'm guessing this is where the root/build.prop edit comes in handy.

[Q] Android-Sale.com

Hi everybody.
I'm a little concerned about this website as I recently bought a N7100+ (fake Samsung Galaxy Note II) from the store.. I got given a code for my phone to track it... Of course being an impatient bast__d I went straight to the ww. ems. com. cn / english .html(spaces because I'm a "spamming noob") website to find this message appears when I put my code in (my code is EE750295474CN) "No tracking information for the shipment, or overdue tracking." To be brief I then sent a message to the company and got a response being "Sorry for the inconvenience. The post just delay updating information.please try again 2-3 days later. Thanks"
Two days later I try again.. Same damn thing. I try to get another reply. Exact same response.
If anyone else would like to try my code then please do. It might just be me that it doesn't work with. Sorry this post is sOO long winded.
I have looked at the other thread just to be clear and it didn't help me as I'm an idiot and already bought from the site.
Pretty sure there's already a thread about this site.

Mods look down on those that makes "help me on my problem, despite a thread with the same subject is already made, but I rather make clutter cause I'm lazy and inconsidetant". Someone already made a thread complaining about this site. Your complaint should of went in that thread, not a new thread, just for your specific problem.

I did of course look at that thread and being aware it's locked down I decided to create one of my own. Basic question I don't see that it's going against any regulations, this isn't a question about if I should be allowed this post it's a valid question. If you want me to delete then I will. I just thought somebody may be able to help. And again I am sorry for not making my thread clear enough.

Secure Boot Status, don't OTA Update when it comes!

Well it looks like AT&T is trying to stop Loki, to no surprise really but all I keep seeing is people trying to update for the new lackluster SD Card feature and COMPLETELY ignoring the fact that secure boot is now enabled in the update and AT&T is making strides on the aboot to block Loki.
Just a fair warning to not update

They are idiots. It is common sense.
Correct me if I am wrong, shouldn't they just wait until a dev gets a hold of the update...and updates their rom with the newest release?

Yeah. But the bigger issue is that soon S4's will start shipping with the new aboot. Then there will be a huge chunk of S4 owners who will never be able to flash recoveries, roms, or kernels.

I posted the "wiki" link in a couple of threads already earlier (one of them was the "Loki discussion thread") to help make people aware of the issue. It was also discussed when the "new update" was announced. The problem is that people will still not read and install it anyway. But, maybe this will help a few more people.

No dis-respect but I strongly enourage to use the search function of the site, just friendly advice before a real developer tears you a new one XD
In the mean time, yes, you can protect yourself by rooting and disabling to update .apks'.
I have seen a lot of mixed info. Some say it wont auto update, others say it will. Best guess is AT&T will indeed try to force push the update.

You wont get burned as long as you don't officially patch up. Its future S4 buyers that will get massively boned once they realize they are stuck until a new bootloader unlock/bypass is found.
The rest of us in the know only have to worry about lack of development support once this patch comes full force.

Personally I hate TW, so the minute i got the phone I got rid of that and put an AOSP rom on the phone (Currently putting the latest PAC Rom nightly on lol) but yea future S4 users will be screwed if the new patched aboot doesnt allow for some kind of exploit...Which in turn hurts future development on the device...the only good thing is that the snapdragon variants of the S4 are all identical basically, as such international roms work on our device, just need to flash a device specific kernel/libs =)
I froze At&t software update v42.1.1303.5.1 hopefully that is all that is needed.
