Planning to root my transformer...any suggestions.

Well i just got this bad boy yesterday. Hardly able to put it down when I'm at home already.
Haven't gotten round to root yet. This weekend be the big event...lol.
So im hoping you guys can give me a few ideas as to the best roms and features available.
What rom do you guys use? Any favorites? And why? Too many questions I know.

^^^^hmmmm. Well i was more curious as to what most folks were using as their daily driver rather than seeking advice as to how to root the device, but thanks anyway.

Check your serial number, if it's >B70 then it's not rootable. Yes they are working on it but it's been almost 2 months and nothing. Appears to be locked down in hardware and thus not by-passible via the usual tricks of the past. Most likely it's because of DRM if I had to guess.
If your serial is B70xxxxx check it anyway, some of the B70's may be rootable if they still have the older SBKv1 ROM (or whatever it is).
Mine's going back (B80 serial) - it's a dead duck.

I suggest you return it and get something else so you wont clog the forum with the same stupid questions that have been asked hundreds of times.

spoon feeding gets old after the 99th "GIB INFO PLOX" thread

Right...i just checked the serial number and it looks like I'm safe. Phew!
It says B50. So i can get on with my tinkering afterall. Thank God for that.
Would have been a bit silly to turn up again at best buy for the second time within the space of 3 days to return another tablet...lol.

I was able to get the program WITH license free. Had to prove to them when my device was activated by AT&T, but that wasn't a problem.

What did you do to get the full license? I see it on play.google, but it says it's a week trial.
STEP 3 on the link above says "The form "Celebrate 100,000 Cerberus users!" is no longer accepting responses.". So if the full license is available I'm not sure how to go about getting it.

I tired using the methods in the Sticky to no avail. I want to use Google Wallet instead of what Verizon and AT&T are trying to implement (ISIS).You just know these Greedy A-Holes will charge us a fee every time we use it.

This is staying locked, an will not be reopened for any reason. Obviously the op can't read or search for anything.

Is This One X Rootable And Can The Boatloader Be Unlocked?

I just got another Brand New One X today and it doesn't appear to be updated to the new firmware or at least I don't think so. It has the 1.85 firmware.
So if this is rootable, can someone point me in the right direction on how I root it and unlock the bootloader to flash roms?

Maybe because you should know by now to SEARCH before posting. You know how many of these EXACT threads pop up daily? Surely you could have found one and gotten your answers there. But nope, you decided to be lazy and in the process add to the clutter that people have to weed through to find useful information. There is something called forum courtesy, and being a senior member you should be well versed in it. You should also know how to find various things around the forum, especially a root method. You already know your software version, so find the root method that matches your version and BAM! But nope, you'd rather not do any legwork at all. There is a reason we have stickies. But clearly you don't even care to look at them.

Whatever dude...again...if you don't want to help don't post...this could have also been handled through pm as well but it seems like "some members" also want to clutter up threads....

Yeah you're right..gunny. in fact I did search...I checked 2 methods..I believe they were 1 click methods.So for the record, I did search.
The part that has me a little confused is its some people that was saying their phones messed up or what not. So that's why I asked...I really don't see no harm in it.

I'm looking for the latest stable ROM for my SGS2 i727r (Rogers Canada)
What are my options? I'm looking for something bare bones, no fluff.

You have no idea how many of these dumb threads pop up. They are not allowed.
It's fairly simple, look through the dev section, read the op, read the comments, check the size of the Rom, and see if it has the features you want.

Man u guys have gotten meaner over time. That being said OP u need to go through the development section and see what u like. If u don't know what aokp, pacman, or cm10 is some googling will help u.
If all else fails, pick up the title u go best and move from there.

K. Tried about 5 or 6 different roms. Could only get about half to even install. Out of those I like CM10 Official.

I hear ya man. But being so new at this, I was hoping to have a helpful hand point me in the right direction. It's all good though, I spent about 18 hours over the last few days figuring this out. Got a decent handle on how everything works now. Thanks for all the help everyone!
