[APP]SystemUI.apk-for smooth swype to remove - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

Hi friends, when I was using mods for ddlf2 made by mznk, I found swipe to remove in notification little slower or harder. But then i tried to use systemui of this or this thread. Exactly i dont remember as i had downloaded it long time ago. So i am sharing it here. This is not my creation but one of our forum member. Easy swipe to remove. It will work with all 2.3.6 firmware.
Now i am senior member with this post........

Did you get 10-lockscreen too?

Nope man. As u see i get trapped in little bit themeing, modding is stiil far away. I just used systemui.apk from the zip which is smooth to swip to remove .

No I thought that you got 10-lockscreens too with the smooth swipe. Then I remembered lockscreens are in android.policy.jar .

Stock Sidekick 4G "ThemeChooser" Themes

At the bottom of this post you will find a download link to a zip containing all the themes that the sidekick came with.
Some people may be on a custom ROM like Smooth Maximus and dont have the themes, or just removed them and want them back.
This is just so no one has to go through the trouble of downloading a stock ROM the searching through all the system apps to find the themes themselves . So i've decided to package em together for ya.
This is not flashable so you have to unzip them and use a root file manager (root explorer, super manager ect.) and push them to System/app. You Need to be rooted or it wont push the apps.

this is great ill push them through with the ginger clone!

Anyone figure out how to customize these themes? (especially the colors schemes)
I can easily change the wallpaper with Android wallpaper options, but the color schemes can be difficult to read with some color combos (like black text on dark green background).
Thanks for posting these!
I'm excited to download it once they're uploaded. My phone is so lost without the themes.
Hey i pulled these directly from ayoteddy's stock deodexed rom. All you have to do is push them to your system apps directory and restart your phone. Tested on my phone. Also sorry i had computer problems so had to upload them to my 4shared on my phone. http://www.4shared.com/zip/7Hu9zeYZ/sidekick_4g_themes.html

I didnt do anything. I just pulled the files and uploaded them for you after i made sure they installed. Thank ayoteddy as i used his stock deodexed to get the files.

Corners in Xperia Laucher in HDPI Home.apk

i'm not that skilled of a modder, but i have managed to get the corners from the MDPI Home.apk from the new xperia 2011 devices, onto the X10, and other HDPI devices, such as the arc, and neo. I was quite surprised that it hadn't been done before.
The corners are a tad bit small, as i cant find how to edit them in the .xml files. If anyone can figure out how, can you PM me, and i'll update the thread. But, it still looks good anyway. I have used this for a couple of days, and so far, i havent had any issues. I used the new 2.3.4 Home.apk, so it has the Facebook app integration. It also uses the 4x4 app drawer, instead of the 4x3 in the mdpi devices.
zip file doesnt work, dont know how (too lazy) to fix, someone help? But you can move the Home.apk to system\app and change permissions, and reboot, but only if you have flashed the Facebook inside Xperia 2.0.
will try to fix things, like the corners, and stuff inside the corners - one it gets past 3 things inside the folder, it gets abit crampt. thankyou to all the devs that managed to port the 2.3.4 home screen to the x10!
i feel tired, all the time, so there probaly are worded mistakes in this, so im sorry!

Huh, I'm on wolf v6s with the 2.3.4 apps ported/ reposted by _smurf.
I've tried installing like a regular app and pushing to the /system/app folder with root explorer and fixing perms in xrecovery.
In either case the app never worked. What was your method?

okay, im not sure whats happened.. when i first made it, it worked, but i just wiped my phone, and tried flashing, and it came up with an error. hmm. just copy the Home.apk to system\app and change permissions, and reboot, but make sure you've flashed FiX 2.0 first.

[THREAD UPDATE] S3 Status Bar & Toggles for ICS! :)

After getting immense help from Kataria.Vikesh and few awesome advises from The Droidster and MJ.Vikram, And thanks to The maker of these mods who comes from SGS2 forum. :highfive:
Also a big thanks to UMBERTO1978 who comes from the GS2 from for helping me out! ADDING more zips in a few hours!
Here are the mods for the status bar
It is fully functional if works. No bugs should be faced :fingers-crossed:
But will deifinitely work with ANY custom rom deodexed.
All zips are cwm flashable..you can try any..
After flashing do not forget to wipe cache and dalviks cache.
If you face any problem, give me time to solve it. I am a bit slow and almost brand new to this :silly:
Try at your own risk, do have a cwm backup
I have not made these zips. Just made compatible with our device
How to flash!
1. Place Zip file in phone.
2. Boot into CWM.
3. Flash the zip file.
4. Wipe cache and dalviks cache
5. Enjoy S3 toggles.
Where it works
Presently the toggles work in any of the ICS based custom roms deodexed,
Few Errors/Disabled aspects
Animation diabled..will be updated soon
Flashilight might be slow..be patient..finding a solution
SCREENSHOTS added with the MOD's Name over it..
If you need any other style check here and revert/pm me...ill will update the thread with it
Thank you
Hi buddy nice to see this from you But this is development thread, So you need to give more details like on which ROM this will work, what is importance each zip file and some screen shots etc....

EDIT: It would be really nice if you could add the steps you have done in the OP so that other dev's can benefit.

@Adam Sir ... i would need your help in learning more about how to mod. This mod is still causing a problem in the Angeeks rom even when ive checked each and everything in the SystemUI.apk
It is just there in the Angeeks rom over the ZSLPD Stock rom.

i also noticed that when using this modification, on some apps (like tapatalk) the status bar was unreadable because it would have white text on a white background. normally, the status bar would be black when these apps are open so the icons would be readable. call me picky, but i dont really like how this makes the status transparent ALL the time...even when operating certain apps. i would prefer it only to affect the lock screen and home screen status bars. i know im nitpicking!
ive decided to revert back to my old SystemUI.apk and keep looking for another solution...thanks for the help tho mike!!! it was a great learning experience as well

[REQ] SystemUI for Xperia E

Hi, everyone! I don't know if I am doing this right but here it goes...
I have a Xperia E, and I am so, but so done of that green battery that is useless and even don't tell me the percentage of remaining battery!
I flashed to ICS and modded the SystemUI, it was an awesome mod, with transparency and battery's percentage.
Why I changed again to JB? Because of better compatibility with apps (more recent) and a sudden hope that Sony will launch a new update.
So recently I had an idea, but my knowledge about apks is very low and I don't know how to program Java and XML languages.
I installed an app, GravityBox, that do the job, but it occupy RAM and CPU time.
If there is someone interested on this and want to do, teach or help, please tell because it will benefit everyone and maybe people will understand how Android works and maybe it will work like an introduction to modding.
First of all is the percentage, if possible I wanted to look like the screenshot.
I'm interested 2 if someone can teach or guide, refer.

If there is someone interested on this and want to do, teach or help, please tell because it will benefit everyone and maybe people will understand how Android works and maybe it will work like an introduction to modding.
First of all is the percentage, if possible I wanted to look like the screenshot.

Thanks @Grimlock007 I'll read it and probably do it, since I am not afraid of flashing the phone. XD

there's no risk anyways...since your just editing the apk's ....(worst that could happen is 'no system ui ')
if you were tweaking kernels and that sort of stuff it would be risky...
OK good luck!
Begining SystemUI
So I started doing the battery icons, more like the screenshots, but now I have a doubt, if someone knows this please reply.
When I installed GravityBox the percentage does not change size, I mean the font size, and for this the icons should be bigger that the actual 21x18 pixels.
Now I am at the 36% icon, possibly I can do all icons today and compile to .apk again.
I'll do the tests to not endanger other equipments.
SystemUI testing
I have good and bad news.
The good is it worked once but with fails, don't ask me why because I don't know, I just followed the TUT.
The bad is that I got this "New Android Interface".

Well since I can't use ClockworkMod properly because I can't unlock the damn bootloader, I have an odexed ROM, but when I had ICS it wasn't deodexed and installed the mod simply by removing the .odex file, I think it would be the same procedure.
The SystemUI I modded is from my actual ROM, simply and for now I just made new SystemUI icons and changed the respective .xml files.
I don't know what I did wrong and why it only worked when I put the modded SystemUI on the system/app folder.

talk to nsdcars5 or matspunt about it.....
but first ...your bootloader...do something about it
I'll see what can I do, I have to call my carrier to see how much it costs to enable bootloader unlock.
I'll also contact these users you indicated me, maybe my problem is very small.

Unlocking the boot loader is different from carrier unlocking! If your status says yes it's completely free.
Please Google for guides, because right now I'm on my phone.

It's says no... I already have seen guides and forums about this and they say what you say.
Sorry for everyone, I did not have the time to check the news on my thread.

How did you make your stock ROM deodexed? Just removed the odex files right?

No! Don't do that! You'll just have to flash the thing again.
@Grimlock007 Just asking, since when do I have experience in SystemUI mods? Only time I did one was for my last phone, for which GravityBox didn't exist (*cough* Gingerbread *cough* 256 MB RAM *cough*).
New Idea
I got an idea, when I had ICS it was also odexed and I could mod.
So the steps for me were:
1 - Copy the original SystemUI into a folder (backup)
2 - Copy modded SystemUI to the app folder
3 - Reboot
4 - Delete odex file
5 - Reboot
6 - Done
I was thinking in a person who has deodexed SystemUI and if this person transfer to me.
I think it would work, basically I think it's the same process, even for modding.

i was talking about the .odex delete part (i think)
Hi everyone, again!
Finally I found something interesting with gravitybox.
The screenshot without the status bar is like the expanded desktop from gravitybox.
I'll take a look again on my systemui configurations and soon will dispose to everyone to use, see and modify freely and at own risk even if it is incomplete by my side. I want this to be a community project for xperia e and by xperia e users.
I still have two questions...
How do I make not expanded desktop?
Why nobody sent me an Deodexed SystemUI?...
