hi all,
I just installed ics greek that I got of the forum here. But now it is stuck on the lg logo after reboot and yes I did take out the battery a servel times.
I just followed the install instructions and thats it. My device was already rooted and on 2.2.2 so I downloaded the ICS-GREEK zip and then put it on my sd card, installed rom manager and clockworkmod and installed everything via clockwork. So did I do something wrong ? And can I fix this?
Please guys some help would be sooo much aprecieated since I got this phone new :crying:
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
you first have to install the first ics rom via lg flah tool, .bin and .fls., then install twrp recovery, and then it is possible to flash ics-greek over the zip file.

Let me guess: no backup or anything?
if you have back up try restoring it from recovery...if you dont then reinstall the rom again from recovery.(wipe cashe data..system) should work just fine...at least is what i did in my nexus s..when i did this mistake..
Are your recovery and rom stock or custom? Cyanogenmod, CWM recovery etc...
If I were you, I would install CWM recovery for your phone and then install some custom rom, they are just awesome
Thx
Thank you all!!!
same problem
i have the same problem my phone just gets stuck with the google screen, but I already had cwm recovery installed but when I try to install cm9 or even cm7 its says that it cant open the package and the installation gets aborted. should Itry using the wug toolkit to flash the zips. and am i supposed to install sabra root toolkit on my phone...??? thanks.
Hi All,
Bit of a newbie on the note, actually got it yesterday from Amazon UK. Had a play and decided to install a custom ROM.
Tried a number of methods but having no luck at all :/
ROMs tried so far are;
Omega v2.0
Revolution 4.3
So far I've installed cwm from the play store and couldn't do anything, i then tried cwm 6.0.2.8 & su which has installed but still nothing
Symptoms seem to be it loads into the installation then locks up, Left it sitting for 10 mins + with no indication of any progress. This is normally at the the option to wipe/not wipe. Note seems to lock up.
Bit confused to be honest......
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Dave.

If not Zedomax has a nice tutorial here http://rootgalaxynote.com/galaxy-note-10-1-root/how-to-root-galaxy-note-10-1/

First you do this at your own risk.
OK... I have installed Revolution HD........ The File is (Android_Revolution_HD-Note_10.1_4.3.zip)
First you need to have a micro sd card installed
Then put the (Android_Revolution_HD-Note_10.1_4.3.zip) file on the micro sd card
Then boot into CWM
I then wipe cache partion
I then wipe data/factory reset (this will erase all of your user data)
Then - install zip from sdcard
I then - choose zip from external sdcard.
I select the (Android_Revolution_HD-Note_10.1_4.3.zip) and that should be it.
NOTE: When the system re-boots it can take a good 5 - 8 minutes for the system to start up, so not to worry.
Hi,
Thanks for that, just followed your instructions to the letter.....
Its locked up again, im sat on the Welcome page with version and updated info. pressed Next and note locks up :/

Let me get this right .... your stuck on the install screen for the revolution rom install?
Are you sure you have a good download of the zip file?
Have you tried to use Mobile Odin to flash the ROM?
Also Darkmans CWM has a problem with the Aroma installer. You may need to use High on Android CWM 6.0.1.1 flash any rom that uses an Aroma Installer.
To install Omega Rom 2.0.....^
... you neet either TWRP or HighOnAndroids CWM, does not install with any CWM!
It is caused by the Aroma installer, so flash HighOnAndroids CWM and then the rom, it works.

I think Can't Installing 2-3 ROM At Single Phone.
cz One ROM and OTher Rom Not Have Same Module.
Try Using One ROM ur Best Choice.
Remember Only Use One Custom ROM
And UnlockbootLoader First

...... So. I screwed up.
I wanted to get the Cyanogenmod 12.1 Rom by omerjerk on my Mi 4i:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4i/development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3212636
So i did the basic rooting and flashed TWRP. I was running on MiUI 7 and the rom required MiUI 6.6.xx.
Now this is where i screwed up.... I UNROOTED my phone and downloaded the zip file from the official website. After that, I went to the updater and chose the 'choose update file' option and chose the zip file.... Then the phone booted into TWRP and started doing its job, only to give some errors. So then I turned off the phone and tried to restart it.
Aaaaaand now its in a bootloop. I know what I did was completely idiotic...... But if you would find it in your heart to guide an idiot like me, I would be grateful.
P.S.: Simple English so that I can process.

Download the fastboot flashfile from the MIUI site with the 6 version
Then use the fastboot method to install this file.
All is to be found on the MIUI forum site AND on the XDA site.
just search for fastboot in the MI4I section.

hey, can you say your steps, that you made ?
can you boot to yout bootloader and say what there is ?
pauldey.
Well i don't remember exactly . But that is what I remember:
Download a ROM and put it in to the sd partition
Than download and install clockwork
Than go through all the steps
Restart the phone
And that was the end of it now it dosen't even want to boot in to recovery
