I find myself pretty frustrated when I'm in the favorites menu of my contact app , I call one of those favorites, I end the call and instead of being taken back to the favorites menu I'm taken to the call log menu instead. Many times I want to go straight back into a different favorite and call them. Same thing when I'm in the contact menu.
If any ROM'er had the inkling to add a "default" behavior configuration when ending the call that would be pretty sweet (in my humble opinion).
That extra click can be quite a nuisance especially when I got my knees on the steering wheel, going 65 down the highway and all I need to do is hit the call key....
(edit)This may actually belong in the dev section, not sure...(/edit)
There's an app in the Market; I believe it's called NoCallLog.
Nice thanks...it's actually called Not Call Log if anyone else is interested. I'd still like to see a ROM'er put it directly into a build.
thanks again!
Does any one know why Contact Grouping hasn't been added back in since Android 1.5? I've searched on it here, I asked about it on Reddit, thus far, the only answers I get about it are "Use Sense", "try this app" or "Yeah! I want that too!".
I don't really want to use Sense, because CM mod runs great on my G2, and all of the other apps go way too far. All I want is a box in the contact section where I can select from the groups I've defined in Google Contacts to categorize a person, just like it was back in Cupcake.
Why can't/hasn't this been added back in? CAN it be added to CM?
Thanks!
Hi guys. We are the devs of Root Call Blocker, an app currently being tested on XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1051274
We have had many issues with EVOs not blocking messages and need a couple of testers.
Please let me know by PM if youre interested in some hard-core testing
Is love to test this I'm using spc right now. Two things I will say up front: SPC has a feature that will pick up the call and hang it up instantly so the caller can't leave a voicemail. I've tried to get this working on aosp but to no avail. Every aosp rom I've tried just didn't support this feature. On the other hand it works flawless on all sense roms. I will pm about trying this out!
I pm'ed the OP, and I can say that this app is working on my device...using an AOSP ROM...Salvage-Mod, where others had failed.
Thanks for your letters, I'll be picking two testers later today, so watch your I boxes.
Nice looks good blockers are always good to have on stand by
I been using for a couple days now and since the latest update, it seems to be working now but the log never displays anything so I'm not too sure it's working.
Great app though. Now I can sleep!
We will look into it immediately. Are you saying the logs is not working?
So far, I'm seeing a log on my device.
In any case, we have fixed this and expect to push another bugfix in a few hours...
Maybe I'm doing something wrong here, but the app blocks all calls when in blacklist mode...even with a whitelist set. Any input?
Its not possible to set both black and white lists at the same time... its one or the other. Please explain your settings more exactly.
Okay, under Profiles (which I renamed to "Main"), I have the operating mode set to Black list. My Black list is set for Private and Unknown numbers...while my white list is set to numbers from contact book, numbers not from contact book, and unrecognized numbers.
My default blocking action for call blocking mode is set to reject and SMS set to don't block.
However, every number that calls me is blocked...even numbers in my contacts. So that's where I'm at right now. Do I even need a White list? Based on what numbers I want blocked? Does this info help?
As I said, each profile can operate in either black or white list mode only. .. that's why the first setting is Operating mode!
Choosing White list here will block all numbers that are not in your White list. I would have thought this would be obvious.
If on the other hand you have not updated to the latest version and this is a bug...

I understand how a call blocker app works...and I believe I have the latest version...just updated from the Market 0.9.9.6, right? With all other call blockers apps I've used, I've never had to create a white list...just a black list. But for some reason, your app blocks all numbers not matter what is defined in the black list. There is no way I can see to associate a blocking action that sticks to the black list, but doesn't affect the white list or numbers not defined in the either. That's what is going on with my device.
There has not been an option to pick 'private' and 'unknown' numbers individually since 0.9.9.5. ATM we are on 0.9.9.6.16.
Please try a clean install - clear data, uninstall, reboot, install again.
IMO, everyone is too used to iBlacklist, which did not use white lists. But white lists are a much more powerful tool in many respects, particularly in our interpretation. Less number crunching = faster operation, more stability, etc..
Hello everyone! We have rolled out a bugfix update with some new features, but would like to get some testing done. Please return to the app and have a go at testing!
Again, we have a new update, please let me know if outstanding issues are fixed!
Hi guys, any feedback on the latest version of the app? We are just about to release an update...
I'm using root call blocker and its working great for me....

Has voicemail and google voice been fixed?
I've been using GOSMS as my primary messenger for my Android phone for a while now. I also consistently have used the scheduled automatic backup built-in to GOSMS. As of the last couple of updates, I noticed they changed a lot of things, one of which is that I can no longer tell it WHEN I want the automatic update to run. It simply has an on/off switch and a time of daily/weekly/monthly. But I want it to go off at 12pm, not midnight, yet that's what it's defaulted to and I haven't been able to change it.
Does anyone know how to do this now?
Thx.

I cant help you, but i've all but given up on the go dev team. They completely ignore user feedback and feature requests and instead focus on adding bloat into their apps and working on themes instead of actual functionality. Good luck if you ever want to contact them to change anything.
Support guy told me a simple feature was "an Android thing that we can't change".
Ok guys please tell me if I'm missing something here.
I emailed Nova Launcher support regarding a functionality that in my opinion is not working the way it should. This is the email I sent them:
"Hi,
I have a question: is there any configuration that I can set to always go back to my main Default Homescreen? I've tried setting under "Gestures & inputs" Home Button to go to default page, but it only works when I'm already in another homescreen.
As an example, if I go to my second screen, which is not the default, then open an app, when I click the home button it returns to that second screen I was at. I would like it to return to my main screen.
I'm not sure if this is possible right now. If not, I guess add it to the "feature request" list.
Love the app by the way.
Thanks,
Fernando"
This was their response:
"Hello, Unfortunately that's an Android thing that we can't change"
Then I replied saying that I was curious as to why it was an Android issue, because I would think it would be literally one line of code in the "OnResume" method. Like if the user has a default home page, whenever the app resumes, it goes back to the default one. I also pointed out the fact that the behavior is the same if I'm on the app drawer and click the home button. So technically not even leaving the app.
I've sent two emails since and got no response. So I'm thinking they're just gonna ignore me.
Am I missing something here or is this support guy just an asshole who doesn't want to deal with tickets? How can this possibly be an Android issue? Are launchers different from normal apps with Activities etc?
Just curious and mad at their support so I thought I would post it here.
