I'm running stock still, and after the JB update, I start getting a tiny red message while boot. Error: the board value of EEPROM is empty.
Anyone had this? I'm trying to decide if it's bad enough to send in my tab now, or when I get back work since I don't use it much.

Got it too. Seems no problem. Tablet still working allright. Even the next small OTA update after JB was no problem.

Hello people,I just check manualy from my DS for new OTA hopping that I might see the ICS OTA available.
Instead of ICS I see an OTA (downloading as we speak) that is supposed to be about-and I quote- "mail".
Has anybody received this as well?
Any idea what this might be?
I am also receiving the update, unbranded Desire S on O2 network in Germany.

Yes, it is still installing, so I do not know what the update is good for. Mine also said it is for "mail".
I just installed it, it's finished now, but I don't see much difference when I look at the (htc) mail app. Maybe just some kind of small bugfix?
Its been over an hour and its still installing!!!!I even xhut down and restart the device and its still after all installing!!!Any ideas how to deal with this?

If you have custom recovery you have to restore from scratch. Sorry, OTA is just for Stock systems
I stopped it through applications management and clear all data for it and now the device says there us no upgrade available to install.Problem solved! ))))

Try downloading it again and save the update file from your sd card onto your comp.

Got it. Took less than a minute to download and install (unbranded, stock, UK). Doesn't seem to do anything visible.
Same here. Everything went pretty fast over wi-fi. Branded stock ROM.
I fail to see the logic and sense why HTC are still developing fixes etc for OLD GB ROMs. They should dedicate their time towards to bloody ICS update.
Ridiculous how slow they are. No word on the update yet, and already in May...

I have started to experience this problem recently after updating to 2.31 by running the ruu. Never had this problem before this version but not sure if it is the reason.
Basically it happened everyday without my notice. Sometimes I picked up the phone it just showed a notification saying phone had rebooted and there was an error report and asked if I wants to send HTC this report. See the picture pls. Then I went to see the battery status, normally there was a sudden drop of about 20% because of this error reboot.
Wondering if anyone else has this issue and also does op still experience this problem?

Lo and beware, I got a notice about an update this morning before 6.10. I'm up to date on GB, so what's up? Naturally the connection to the server always fails when I do the check. . . .

UPDATE: checked the LG support tool at 10.40 which says no update needed. Nevertheless, I still get the exclamation point in the status bar and "you can check a new software" although (as happened with GB) it is impossible to connect to the LG server with the phone.

after reading this i tried checking software update and after clicking on it i had the notification saying "you can check a new software" but when i go to software update it says connection failed. I'm rooted just to let ppl know...
You're not the only only. Last night I just was bored and did the same thing. I checked for an update and a notification came up saying you can check for new software. After its done searching it says connection failed.

Same here. Rooted stock 2.3.4.
My phone has been saying connection failed since just before the last update. I had to use the LG Tool last time. But as for now, I haven't gotten any notices, and the LG Tool says i'm up to date. Who knows, maybe by the end of the day, there will be something........HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!
Got up this morning, there was a notification of new update available, installed it! Hola! Official Jelly bean with butter!
Then I really woke up to know it was a dream!
This makes me want to flash a stock rooted Rom just to see the message despite what you guys have said about not being able to download it

I am using this rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1885878 Everytime I turn on my tablet I get a weird screen with lots of different colored lines. I have a picture and a video of it. Hopefully I can upload both, but if not you will be able to see what it is doing in the picture. Does anyone have any thoughts on to what may have caused this? And if so, maybe somethings to try and fix it? It just really bothers me and makes me wonder if I have a defective tablet..

It is normal. Once Samsung officially releases JB I would guess that you will not see that screen.

That doesn't look normal. I recommend you flash back to stock Android 4.0 in Odin and down load all updates it needs. The offficial rom should be getting Jelly Bean soon, probably this month.
I also have 3113 but this no ....

I don't think that is normal. I have the GT-P3113 and have flashed mutliple ROM including CM10 and AOKP AOKP being my favorite). I have not run into that issue before. I would say, make sure you have the last Recovery, but I have not used the Rom you are flashing though, so it could be the ROM. I would say...try to flash another ROM like AOKP and see if still is an issue. If it is I am going to say it has something to do with the Tablet or something went wrong in rooting or flashing.

It is normal for the pre-released stock Samsung JB ROM or variants of this ROM (RomsWell). Sheez.
I think we should have another button besides "THANKS" like "I don't know what I am talking about, but I like to answer questions" LOL
Use triangle away app, flash stock, then see if defect still found return !!!

A Status 7 error most of the time means that theres an issue in the updater-script. Most of the time its something like a "comma" where a semi colon is supposed to be
I've had so much trouble with this damn phone. I don't know why its being so much harder then the e4gt. My biggest problem is all the dead links. I'm barely getting it to work. I got cm7 now I'm trying for cm9. Then on to cm10 if all goes well.:beer:
