I have flashed a handful of roms on my phone. I typically plug in my phone into my computer and it uploads to dropbox automatically. However, my recent pictures aren't uploading. After looking at my phone it appears that photos placed in sdcard1 were being uploaded, now my photos are being saved in sdcard0 and they aren't uploading. Any tips? tHANKS.

It should be uploading as you take them and should scan entire phone. Doesn't matter where they are. Actually mine doesn't show when plugged to PC anymore. They may have taken that back out last update. It didn't do it originally either. Just after one of the updates.

I took a few pictures on Friday but now they aren't in my gallery. Anyone else have this issue?
few questions...
are you rooted? if so, which rom are you running?
also, have you used a file manager to browse and see if the files are still on your phone? normally scdard/media/dcim houses picture/video files made with the phone.

Not rooted, just plain old stock for the time being. Haven't searched for them like that yet. I just noticed they had disappeared from my gallery.
i would check to see if the files are still on the phone.

Not normal, yes as suggested browse through your gallery thoroughly or use a file manager app like Linda File Manager.
Through the camera app there is a way to view photos youve already taken.
If You can preview them they have to be somewhere within your Inspire
Very strange. They definitely were not in my gallery. I hooked up my phone to my laptop and there they were in the DCIM folder. Now they appear back in my gallery after disconnecting the phone from my laptop. Not exactly sure what was going on there.
Thanks for the help guys.
If it happens again bring the phone back for another one. It could also be the SD card. Try doing a full format on a computer for it and put the files back on.
I can't figure out how the phone decides where to place a string of photos taken in burst mode. When I connect my phone to USB and look in the folder where the burst photos are located, there are multiple folders that have already been created. Within those random folders are where my burst photos are located, but in no particular order. This makes it a pain to go through and transfer them all to my PC b/c I'm constantly having to hunt down the photos in random folders.
I hope I'm just being ignorant to how it works, but any help is appreciated.

That seems to be the way it works. From what I can tell, the storage is meant to be temporary...you're supposed to pick the best shot after the burst, then it dumps the rest. I guess if you want them all, you have to do a little hunting.

Not the answer I was looking for, but I'm afraid you're right.

I use dropbox to auto upload my pictures, and it also uploads all the burst pictures in order. Makes it easy to keep all pics or select just the ones I want to keep on the PC.

If they have a common naming convention, then you could hook up your phone to a computer and do a search via filename (or date) then copy the images elsewhere
So here's the story. I was taking a picture this morning, I took 2 pictures because the first one I took was blurred. When I open the gallery app to delete the blurred picture, I realized the contents of the camera folder in DCIM is empty except the two pictures I just took.
I tried to recover it using DiskDigger but only able to recover few of the thumbnails. Now, I dont mind losing my camera pictures since its just pictures of a cat, but I certainly dont want this to happen again.
I've searched everywhere just to find other people having the same problem but there was never a solution.
I'm not the only one that have this problem : https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/nexus/ep6A4jequkA[1-25-false]
Is this a known issue?
It's not an issue I have encountered or seen specifically but I would say Flash memory is still pretty unreliable imho.
I would always implore you all to set automatic backups of photos and other sdcard data. Personally I use foldersync as I mentioned in my Data recovery / prevention thread (which you can get to via the sticky link in my signature).

Thanks for the suggestion, I would love to backup my files to cloud. However, with a 0.11mbps upload speed I dont feel like doing it

Doesn't have to be the cloud. I set mine to backup my entire sdcard to my NAS (or similarly a computer that is "always on") over local WiFi whilst I am asleep.
I also use Tasker to backup individual photos when I close the camera app, as soon as they are taken, over the internet using SFTP so if I take a photo whilst I am out, it will backup to my NAS so long as I have a data connection...
Hi,
I was on a vacation and used the LG 360 Cam heavily. I was so excited with the pictures & videos I took and tried to download all of them from the cam's microsd and not realize that they were actually downloaded and saved to my internal memory until I got the popup saying that my internal memory is full.
Have been trying to find any setting to change the path to my microsd instead of internal memory but couldn't find one. Already provided my feedback in app store to ask the same thing and also dropped an email to the author but received no response so far.
Is there any of this forum member can advise if we can change the path somehow? Thanks.
Have you tried manually moving the files with a file explorer like es file explorer?
Sent from my LG-H830 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I have scoured the camera settings in the app and haven't found the ability to save to the SD Card.
As mentioned above, I've been manually moving the to the SD Card using Astro, tough I have been meaning to test Redirect File Organizer to see if that might do it for me automatically.

Moving the files manually is possible using stock gallery app but only after I downloaded to internal memory. I'm avoiding a condition where my internal memory is full so I can download directly to microsd in my phone.

Yep - figured this out last night. No SD Card support for this app. I'll keep looking.
After leaving the review in playstore I also dropped an email to the developer and received a reply just now telling me that it will be supported in October.. let's see
the app just updated with some new stuff and it mentions something about other storage, and the cam also has an update but i still do not see sd options
it says support adoptable storage for download image/vids

I was able to edit the photos and videos from the 360 cam I have made a video about it here
https://youtu.be/wszkGqhooxE
Also Fyi there is a new firmware and app update which seems to have improved the quality of the images a bit as well as introducing an interval meter (timelapse) which is cool in 360 for that I used adobe premiere but the results where great

Did it work
Hi.
So Ive backed up my photos for as long as I can remember, I have photos and videos going back 15 years.
I pay google each month for 100 gig of storage, what I normally do is once a month or so i get whatever photos/vids I want to keep and i upload them from my desktop into a named album.
Obviously this takes up storage space
I can see that my Pixel allows me to upload pics and vids without eating into my storage however i'm confused as to how it works.
If i backup and sync my camera folder then arrange it into albums the photos will then be deleted if i delete them off my phone, which means i only actually get 64 gig of cloud storage, that matches my phones folders./
Is there a way i can retain my photos in the cloud but remove them from my phone?
Any help appreciated.

It is supposed to automatically backup the camera folder. In settings, google, backup, photos you should be able to select other folders you want to include.

Ahhh, I thought he was deleting them from the camera folder using an explorer/ file manager app....
Got it chaps, thank you.
I've stitched a few videos together that I shot on the Pixel but edited outside of the phone and then dropped the final video back into the camera app and its still let me upload it which is great.
Thanks for the help
