I have recently rooted my LG Optimus V and I decided I wanted Gingerbread, so I flashed my stock rom, then installed CM7 through Rom Manager. I backed up my phone before installing. Now my phone starts up with CM7, but freezes during the blue welcome animation (where the blue android comes in on the skateboard). The arrow loops around, freezes, restarts the animation where the guy comes in on the skateboard, loops around, and freezes for good. I left it on in that position all night, but it doesnt get past the animation.
What do I do if my phone refuses to boot up? Any suggestions?

did you wipe dalvik cache, cache, and data before you flashed cm7? if not, boot into recovery (with your phone off, its home+vol down+power) and do so. if that doesnt work, restore your backup. from what ive heard, rom manager can cause some problems for our phone, so use amonra/thunderg recovery instead:

What do I do? I am a stranger when it comes to some of the terms I see so please explain with steps. Thank you.

Try force updating your device using stock firmwares.
Boot into bootloader and try flashing a new recovery img.
Try either of these, to see what happens. I don't know much about your device but these methods could help.
