Htc Inspire stuck at white (BOOT) screen after AT&T software update - HTC Inspire 4G

Hi there. I'm a nooob to android phones. After upgrading to the most recent os released by AT&T ( 3.20.502.52) my phone won't boot past the white Screen with the htc logo. It's not rooted. I av tried battery pulls, hboot and tried recovery, factory reset, cache wipe...just about everything that's listed in the boot menu and recovery menus. also when i try to recover it goes to a screen with a green circular arrow which changes to one with a phone icon with a red triangle on it. I'm realld frustrated. don't know what to do now. any assistance would be appreciated.

Have you tried going to the htc websight and getting the official ruu and pushing it to phone. Instructions should be on the sight.

The ROM was not rooted, but has it ever been? What does HBOOT say exactly? (Not the list of options, above that.)
If all else fails, run a RUU.

Have you updated to the latest firmware? Whenever there's a new base, I just flash the accompanying firmware before superwiping and flashing Rom. Never had a problem booting up.

Which rom did you have before? You need the 3.32 firmware from Mike's thread. Place the PG58IMG on sd card and flash from bootloader. Delete it before superwiping and flashing 6.5

Means you haven't supercid your phone. Follow instructions on the thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767 Gotta go. Good luck.
so my sister has the same phone, i was thinking if i put my sd card in hers and make a back up and then putting my sd card back on my phone will i be able to boot normally?
Dude I wouldn't mess with a sister's phone if she doesn't know how to fix tech problems. You're probably gonna end up with an angry sister at some point. I don't have sister's but I don't touch my wife's phone unless I am 20000% sure I won't F' it up.

Listen to me on what I am gonna say: These people are trying to help you by pointing you to step by step instructions, mmkay? Follow them to the letter so you won't get 'done'. You WILL know how to fix it and you WILL fix it yourself. Being 15 isn't a damn valid excuse okay? I know of a guy around here (which who I will not name, and no, that's not me ) who maintains 2 successful ROMs and he is as old as you so if he can do something that requires much more than the basic knowledge.
Now, you go and fix your phone

Help needed, stuck in updating rom. Can't boot

Dear fellow forummers,
I've set my HTC Sensation to S-OFF yesterday. Today I tried to update the rom to 1.50.401.1 (from 1.50.401.1) to flash it to ICS later on.
I used this file:
RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.50.401.1_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_223042_signed.exe
The installation got stuck at 41%, didn't do anything so the only way was to pull out USB cable and try again, again stuck at 41%.
Sweat started to rise on my forhead when I tought by myself maybe if I 'update' to an older rom, I will at least have my phone back working. So I tried the file:
RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.45.401.3_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_219990_signed.exe
I was unbelievably happy when I got past the 41%, my laugh ended a few seconds later when it got stuck on 44%, tried again and you guessed it.. again stuck at 44%.
I can't boot my phone at all. When I turn my phone on I get the black screen with in white/silver HTC. After putting the USB cable in and pulling it out I get the white screen with:

You mean the:
{fix} update for 3.32 and bootloops ?
I can't see someone with simalar problems.
My problem is that I can not recover or fastboot or whatsoever at the moment
Did you try the Factory Reset option? might work...
You have recovery installed? Download and flash any other ROM.....
That's because the thread in General is for bootloops not for failed RUU installations. First mistake you made was to unplug the USB cable mid installation so don't do that again!
You can get the latest EU RUU here:

When I boot into Recovery:
This build is for development purposes only
Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC's written premission.
Failure to comply may lead to legal action.
After about 30 seconds the phone reboots.
I received the phone unlocked, but did the rooting myself with help from threads on xda developers. It seems it all went well, when I access RootChecker, it is a success and I have access to Root.
I want to flash custom roms but am not able too!
Please, help me figure out what is wrong with my phone not being able to boot into recovery!
I really, really, need help on this issue!
Did I do something wrong and if so what did I do?! I followed everything about adb and using the cmd on windows. Please help me!
Thank you anyone for any type of information you might be able to give me, I want everyone to know I really appreciate it!
Thank you so much!

you should probably update your recovery http://www.teamw.in/project/twrp2/99
in bootloader run these commands from the pc
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.3.1.0-evita.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then on the phone try to get the phone to go into recovery. older recoveries had a hard time getting into recovery from bootloader.
if that doesn't work boot into your regular rom and run "adb reboot recovery" make sure usb debugging is turned on.
the website says "You must be S-OFF or have taken HTC's unlock to use a recovery on your device!"
I do not have a S-OFF device. Is it impossible to go into recovery? Should I try this method regardless?

You got S-OFF / superCID infact you can flash any RUU of any region/provider as long as is not older than the installed one.
Which country/region you need?
You should look here for the RUU http://androidruu.com/?developer=Ville
Step by step guide from "Flashalot" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2678700
Thanks for quick reply... Can you give a complete procedure & exact firmware RUU? Because most HTC phone in my country don't have a supported Box like Spookey if i get Deadboot phone... I need more ideas & information...
First thing is first, you need to update the firmware. This link should help you about that since the device is s-off. Then flash a custom recovery, I recommend twrp 2.7.0.0, mount sdcard via twrp, copy the rom's zip to sdcard, install rom from recovery. That's all.

You got S-OFF / superCID infact you can flash any RUU of any region/provider as long as is not older than the installed one.
Which country/region you need?
You should look here for the RUU http://androidruu.com/?developer=Ville

When its done, you can install a custom recovery. I prefer TWRP http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/ville
You can flash it with this tool --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471151

I just looked out the bandwidths for the One S. In the USA its only sold by T-Mobile and Solavei. Both providers use the GSM(As used in Europe) frequencies and that means the choosen RUU should usable in the USA too.
Yes sir, i always used Europe Firmware for every phone brands for universal use...
Off Topic:
I've finished all download software & firmware, but the battery phone is less than 30% said by the RUU software, i'm disassembling the unit now, then unplugging battery into motherboard to separately charge the battery by using RPS...

I think its not charging when connecting to charger because the phone does not in normal mode, and keeps restarting and restarting instead of charging... i observed this before using multi-tester its just stuck at 3 volts, yet not make a fully charge caused of phone faulty...
One more thing... If i passed the RUU, then in Custom Recovery what should i choose in S4 variant or S3 variant?
