My phone info:
Phone Name: HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e
Android Version: 4.0.3
HTC Sense version: 3.6
Software number: 3.33.401.153
S-ON
HBOOT- 1.29.0000
Also the phone is rooted.
Yes you should be able to. I suggest trying out several roms and see which suites you best. Personally I use viper 1.3.5. But I prefer sense roms. Try out several them choose what you like best. Don't forget to do a nandroid backup incase you get in a pinch you can easily restore your old rom. This is very important. Happy flashing

Hey guys,
I have been locking for a stock ROM of the Sensation XE but all I found where custom ROMS based on the XE.
Are there any working stock Sensation XE ROMs? Couldn't find anything with the search function.
1. S-OFF
2. Super CID
3. Flash the XE RUU
You now have a 100% stock XE, albeit with 1.2GHz rather than 1.5GHz

The Sensation and the Sensation do have the same hardware except for the battery right?
Is it possible to clock the Sensation to 1,5GhZ?
Yep, but you need a custom kernel for it

Is there a ROM which is basically stock but has a custom kernel clocked to 1,5 GhZ?
Kind of turning the Sensation into a Sensation XE?
Yep, InsertCoin or Android Revolution HD (not the Sense 3.5 versions)
OR, my stock XE ROM + the recommended kernel

flash EddyOS stock xe Rom then just flash a different kernel over it. You cannot I don't think have pure stock and custom kernel.

Hi guys,
first of all: i am using currently Android Revolution HD 4.1.9 on my HTC Sensation.
but, i am tired of flashing custom roms and looking for the "best" rom.
Now, i guess i want backt to Stock Rom. With flashing Eddies Rom is it possible to receive OTA's in the future (because of coming ICS).
Thx for short reply...

Look the thing is, as soon as any hint of ICS ROM test or official gets leaked, I guarantee that within 2 days there will be custom ROM's so best stick to non stock for now.
To answer your question, no I don't think it possible to receive OTA updates on EddyOS

Yes, with a rooted phone you can install custom a Kernel or Rom.
Download and install ROMmanager. This will allow you to install Clockworkrecovery. Once that is installed you can download your choice of Kernel - I can personally recommend Bricked or Faux kernels - found elsewhere here on xda. Save the downloaded file to your sd card and select the Install ROM from SD card option in ROM manager.
NOTE: Before you install this, make a NAND backup - you will get prompted by Rom manager - this will allow you to restore back to your current position if you experience any problems or are unhappy with the update.
All this information is available in the forums http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1109
FS61 post 13 stock sensation le rom from europe, works great in stuttgart, just left there.
For the past week or so, I have tried to flash the latest ARHD 6.8.0 rom - I have had several devices, including other HTC Sensations, and HAVE NEVER ran into this much difficulty.
I am S-OFF - have the latest firmware (required) - SuperCID - etc...
I have manually flashed the boot.img. (as suggested) and yet... NADA!
What can I possibly be missing?
Please help!
Hi,
were you in 3.33 before flashing?
If you were not, there is a link on ARHD thread. You need to flash first 3.33 and then the Rom.
If you were already in 3.33, download again and check the md5.
Hope it helps.

Anyone?
Do you have 4 ext recovery installed? If not try and install it, then try to flash the Rom .some roms do better with 4ext. Installed. It's definitely worth a try.

hello, I want to flash JB on my gf's sensation but I haven't messed with her phone for like two months and she's had ICS up to now..
Can I just flash this or do I need to flash something before messing with JB.. like firmware or anything like that... Thanks.

Hi jelly bean usually runs on 3.33 firmware. I'm running jelly bean and updated my firmware from 3.32 to 3.33. I did it because it's the newer firmware. Also I have 4ext. Recovery installed. It's a great recovery and makes flashing a breeze. You can get it here on xda or the play store. Some roms install better if using 4ext. Recovery. Also are you s off or s on? I'm not sure you can update the firmware with s On. If your s on when flashing the rom remember to enable smart flash in 4ext recovery. If you're s off you don't need to do that. When I moved to jelly bean I did those things and it runs perfectly. Make sure and do a nandroid back up before you flash. Do a clean install. Wipe cash, wipe dalvik, wipe data factory reset, then install the rom. Hope this is helpful to you! You're really going to love jelly bean, it's amazing! Best wishes

put the rom zip in the root of the sdcard and flash it from recovery
if you are S-ON i suggest you to install 4ext recovery(if you don't have it yet) and enable smartflash berfore flashing
also it works only with 3.32fw and 3.33fw version
but before everything do a nandroid backup first

anything else???
edit: i just see the link thanks... i'm going to flash now ...
All you need to do is make sure you have an unlocked bootloader, s-off, it's, 4ext recovery. Once you have all that just drop the rom on ur sd, go into recovery and install the rom from zip. If u need instructions on how to s-off, unlock ur bootloader or anything else just ask.

Hi,
You can use any of the ROMS in the Dev section HERE
What does your bootloader say?
Please post the contents here.
yes, both devices are actually the same.
and the reason no ROM is booting is probably coz you didn't update your Firmware to 3.32 or 3.33?
google is your friend with that.

Go back to stock kernel, have been using it on 5+ roms and never had any (big) problem. The 4.2.2 rom by Albinoman is particularly good. But you could also just use an ICS rom for the time being; kernel devs are working on ION (memory allocator) which will make JB roms and multitasking far better and stable.
Make sure you do a full wipe with 4ext before flashing a new rom.
Good luck!
Thanx every one for all the help ....
