I don't think that's a problem.I get the same error in cm9/10.I think it's related to emmc as the sd card.

Should I reflash the rom or wipe my external sd?
sent from Samsung galaxy S i9003 Remics JB v3

No. There is nothing to be worried about. Its just a uhmm let me say typographical error? LOL. See it this way. Ignore it.
If you really feel bad about it, you can try restoring it. If it restored your ROM then nothing is to be worried about.

Yup exactly
Also you don't have to worry about the external sd, since it doesn't get wiped out after a factory reset

URGENT

Hi, I have a serious problem with my phone. So here's the long story (sorry).
First I turned off my phone and turned it back on but it froze at the S logo and went on vibrating every once in a while.
I used odin to flash it but it restored it to eclair 2.1 and all my photos and music are gone. I was wondering if there is a way to restore the lost data.
Thanks.
Basically, no. Sorry.
My thoughts too. Unless u had them on ur external card the wipe erases them all.
Sent from my Phoenix JS7 run Samsung Captivate
Also, I was on android 2.2 prior to the flash but after, it's 2.1 with the AT&T start screen, is there a way to revert back to 2.2 rogers?

Only a master clear or formatting the internal storage would do that. A simple odin one click flash will not cause that.

im can put samsung galaxy s2 roms in skyrocket?

friends
I bought a Samsung S2 Galaxy Skyrocket the United States that came with the original rom from AT&T
but I found the 3G signal very freak.
The S2 skyrocket are very similar with S2 default, but i do not know if i can
put any from samsung galaxy s2 default in skyrocket !!!! it will works?
and how im can apply the roms in sky rocket ?
grateful
Almir
Absolutely do NOT put galaxy S2 roms on a galaxy S2 skyrocket. While the UI prob looks the same in a lot of ways. The insides of the two devices are completely different from each other. They both have different processors ect... only flash roms for the galaxy S2 skyrocket.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
He is correct. DO NOT flash any roms except for the ones in the skyrocket thread. Only the skyrocket, and tmobile gs2 are compatible. Any others and you will brick your device. But read before flashing any tmobile gs2 roms as well. Research is your best friend with android phones.
Read read read before ever flashing anything
ok dont worry
but There is a fix to improve the signal 3g?? my 3g is terrible

hey
hey guys new to android and just have a question if you could help. just rooted my phone and tried flashing the cyanogenmod and the ics roms but they wont work the ROM manager takes me to the recovery mode part and i click install from SD card and it says it cant do it and im lost
thanks for the help
SO let me understand the problem. When you try to flash something from internal sd card it won't let you flash? if that's the problem than see if you can mount sd card. and do it from there. if nothing works than you might wanna unroot and re root it again.

Well yes that's mostly recommended by devs but you can still flash it from external sd card. I done it without problem. But as you said always do it from internal sd.

ok so i put the Rom on my internel sd card so i reboot in recovery mode hit, install zip from sd card, chose zp from internal sd and clicked skyicecream+RC5.5Z.zip and it says cant 0-en/emmc/SKYICECREAM+RC6.5Z.zip
Here just follow the direction and make sure to put the rom in Internal sd not external. it won't matter but still

no cm7 is not best rite now. The beast is Ice cream sandwich rom by sean.
and if you make nandroid you can go back and forth with roms. Plus hit the thnx button it helps.

E:unknown value for path [/sd-ext]

That's what I get when accessing the "advanced" part of CWM Touch 5.8.1.3 on my skyrocket(to wipe dalvik cache). I also got something similar during a nandroid backup.
What does this mean and why am I getting this message?
Something to do with your external sd card. Might want to Odin cwm again.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
It's done this since I've had the phone.. part of me thinks it's because of all the weird partitioning i had to do when i was using this external card with my atrix and the lapdock.. trying to unlock the webtop and all that insanity. I've tried repartitioning but it doesn't do the job.. now what?
I don't think re-odining CWM will do it, I've been on 4 different CWMs since getting my skyrocket and they've all done this.
I'm also having trouble running sean's newest ICS rom(i went back to GB for a while, too many little bugs were driving me crazy) now. Phone won't boot with it installed. Could this be because the dalvik can't be wiped? where is the dalvik cache written to?
Have you tried using a different external SD card to see if it still gives you that error?
naw, i know i should. i will soon, i was just kind of looking to see if this was a common thing. just formatted the card and will try again. the issue never caused any problems until right now, i'm thinking it's part of the reason i can't boot the ROM. will try reflashing after formatting the external card, then if that doesn't work i'll try going back to the GB nandroid, if it still doesn't boot then i'll try the external card and get back.
You shouldn't need an external to boot the rom. Everything should be flashed from the internal. Just leave the external out, reflash everything, and boot up.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
yeah i figured it couldn't really be the external causing the boot failure. but would not being able to properly wipe the dalvik cause it? because it returns the error when i go to wipe the dalvik. sorry, i'm like a half-noob... got all the terms and procedures down, but the under the hood stuff is still coming slowly lol
edit: no dice. just won't boot at all. going to ODIN cwm again as suggested and try that.
now things are getting really weird. after ODINing CWM, when i go to install from the external SD it just keeps going to my internal. both "internal" and "external" sd card options go to the internal. there's a subfolder for the external_sd as it would be in root explorer, but that just loops back to the normal internal sd folder.. what the hell is going on?

Your on ATT so get the odin oneclick and properly start with the leaked ICS rom.
The onclick has bootloader updates thats CWM wont give you and it also installs the most recent radio and most recent ril's.
The odin "oneclick" will wipe the entire phone and set it up stock and should correct any wierd formatting errors.
Then use the Odin "program" to flash CWM tar
Then try flashing a rom again.
Oh take that card from your atrix and format it FAT32 with a pc and only put the rom and rom updates on it to start with. If you get this far, you should be good to go.

So simple you take out the sd card from the phone and you put it in the sdcard reader (if you don't have one just buy it. it will cost you over 3$) and then put it in your computer then copy the rom to sd card

[Q] Help with flashing rom

Hey guys, I think I botched my tab... Stupidly I accidentally flashed a kernel that was not for my device...It's stuck in a boot loop, and I don't have my original CM9 rom to flash back. When I try to mount the sd card to my computer to try and put the CM9 rom back on, it won't mount. If I use an SD to Micro SD card adapter I can throw the rom back on and flash it right?
Any help is greatly appreciated. I am about to try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2007876&highlight=stock+rom but I need a backup plan if it doesn't work.
Thanks!
EDIT: Guide worked like a charm. Won't be making that mistake again.

That would be your best bet. Everyone makes mistakes like this once in a while but make sure that you always create backups so you wont lose all your data. Best of luck
yeah...u can use that procedure to get back to stock which will unroot ur device..this is a safe procedure..
but, if can get a rom in your sd card, flash it and make wipes..it'll be shorter method i guess, it'll save a lot of time!
Haha yeah it's funny the download link for the stock restore zip was downloading 700mb at roughly 100mb/s so yeah...slow af. But it worked so that's all that matters.
