Toggle link association - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hey Devs, got an idea:
what if there were a notification bar toggle that would switch whether the system remembers default actions such as clicking a play store link / URL / specific file type thus when off would bring up the select app menu and when on would re-remember your prefs?
I know I'm making sence

Set certain apps to startup on boot?

I want groove ip and twitter to start on boot because sometimes i forget and groove ip is my source for voice calls.
Is there an app that will allow me to do this? I looked in the market but could only find apps that could disable apps from auto starting

Tasker can do what you are asking just set up a profile to run on device boot.

I got tasker but i have no idea how to set up the profile lol
No problem, to set it up open up tasker:
On main window click New 'bottom center' enter a name for the profile somwthing like' auto start'
Now from the First Context menu select 'Event'
From the Select Event Category select 'System'
Now select 'Device Boot'
Ok, now you should be at the Task Selection Dialog click 'New Task' and give it a name eg 'Apps startup' but any name will do.
From here the Task Edit window click the Plus sign at the bottom right
Click 'App'
Then 'Load App'
Give it a second for the apps to spawn and choose the app you want to auto start.
Once selected click done on the new window
Repeat the last 2 steps for all the apps you want to auto load.
Once you have selected all the apps you wanted to load on start up. Click 'Done' on all windows till you are back to the main tasker window. Hit 'Apply' and you should be all set up.
Should the icon on the top right of the main menu be a check or ban sign?

A check mark means active the red ban sign means inactive. So make sure it's the check mark.

Page transitions for AOKP ROMS...

Hi everyone,
I am using AOKP ROM build 40 and I want to change page transitions or app opening transitions....
Please can anyone help me with this....I had seen some really cool transition animations like the dialog box popping from the bottom in one of my friends SG ACE ROM....
Thanks

I just use GO Launcher as my default launcher and use the animations/transitions from there. So many to choose from and for different scenarios too.
Personally, I set all my "effects" to Random. That way every time I switch home screens or enter the app drawer, it's different!

I am asking for animations which are for built in things...like the dialog box for everything or any app opening....I figured out that it can be done by editing anim folder in Res folder of framework.apk....but still I need someone to give me some some animations which are in XML format so that I can edit the apk....

Framework Tool from market will give you that and more.

Quick - Command button behaviour - fail

Hey there
When I choose the quick - command button to open the app drawer it just simply switches to the homescreen instead of opening the drawer. The other functions (e.g. taking screenshot/open camera) work flawlessly.
Anyone else experienced this problem?

I dont have any lag.
Thanks, well it replace my default Samsung lock screen?
Okay so this surprised me, it works pretty well. Just one thing, maybe don't have the settings on the lockscreen. Also have a look at allowing for customizes gestures. I am very used to just swiping right to unlock my device, will take a bit to get used to swiping up.
It's back up on the play store

My link send you to the play store.
Pressing the home button still lets you unlock it without any more action
There are various causes why I won't use this lockscreen for now:
- Hiding the status bar results in nav bar and status bar beeing accessable by swiping up/down, making unlocking a mess (it's just fullscreen...)
- Because of the previous bug the notification / quick settings area is accessable
- Disabling the home button results in the nav bar always beeing shown
- Nav bar is transparent, but has a bad looking shadow (see next image)
- The apps-ring of the home button is under the lockscreen, but the apps open when you "select" them (http://imgur.com/eNitpBU)
- My camera doesn't open with the build in feature (com.android.camera2 v2.0.002)
- No music player control
Nevertheless I buyed the premium addon to support your work, I hope this app will get better.
Link doesn't work
Can you just upload apk files on mediafire?
Any way to find a working link. Would like to try this out but all the links lead to nowhere.
Plez give me a working link.......
