Yea stored on the internal memory, files of pictures format, documents and pdf.
TYPICALLY, what i want are PNG Files
"Kno App" files
There are many data recovery apps out there.. shut off your tablet first and make sure you don't write anything to it.. boot up CWM and have it mount whatever is holding the files you wanna retreive. The n install any data recovery app to your comp, hook it up, select it in the program and hit go.
The key thing is to not write anything to the tablet , which includes not using the tablet as it may write fragments of information on itself as cache or otherwise; so turn it off.

Use Odin, untick " Auto Reboot ", install CWM, when done , press power button together with volume up ( the one apart from the power button ), you will be diverted into CWM , you will get a disable feature within cwm , choose it & reboot.
You will have permanent CWM.

Try connecting to another port, seems you have a problem with this port .

Hello,
First, I am completely new to rooting, flashing etc.
Second, I just flashed Coredroid, and want to try another custom ROM. However, when I go to Settings > Applications, I don't see the "Fast Boot" option. So, Volume Down + Power won't work!
Could you assist on this issue?
Thanks.
you dont need fastboot.
copy the rom you want to your phone
hold down the power button until the menu comes up
hit restart
it should give you 4 options
choose recovery
in recovery, install from sdcard
point to the new rom you want to use
confirm
it will flash, once done, reboot
done
If that doesn't work, you can reboot to Recovery within Rom Manager as well.

The option to turn off fast boot is under "power" in the settings menu

No! Nothing like that. That is not how you turn off fastboot.
my thoughts are that all roms should come with fastboot turned off by default anyway, so if there is an issue, it isnt a complete chore to get in.
thats why i will always turn it off with my releases

Thank you for your reply. Actually, I didn't have any options under restart button. I found the "Fast Boot" option under "Power" settings, so I disabled it then Vol Down + Power worked for me to boot in recovery mode.

Thanks for the advise. I, now, use the Rom Manager whenever I want to boot in recovery. That works like a charm!
I did exactly everything with the steps, then when i tried to enter CWM for the first time. it didn't load, and rather entered Android System Recovery <3e>.
So i read that when on ODIN Mode, i uncheck the AutoReboot and install it again, but when i did that it gaves me FAIL. Here's a screen shot.
Please Help and now like this, is the device rooted or not. " Tried all different ports"

That looks about right. Just install the Samsung mobile USB drivers and follow the root guide as normal. Do whatever it says to do.

After the install don't let it boot to the home screen. Instead immediately boot right back into CWM and then you'll be fine.
"Q: I don’t see ClockworkMod Recovery when I enter recovery, I see stock Android recovery.
A: With newer software updates, you may be encountering this error because it will overwrite ClockworkMod Recovery upon reboot. To get around this, simply boot into ClockworkMod Recovery right after flashing in ODIN."
Actually, I found ODIN 3.0.4 was better to flash the GNote 10.1 with... In fact I had problems getting 1.85 to recognise the note was attached to the PC. Since I had 3.04 too i tried that and had no problems... I would suggest using the later version of ODIN, ODIN 3.0.4....
I made a nandroid back up and copied the file onto my computer, after have a screw while installing a rom I have erased everything on my phone. Now i cant work out how to install my back up. Its 2.8gig and i have copied it back on my phone but cant get my phone to register that there is a back up on it. Any help guys? Much appreciated.
If u have any custom recovery installed on your like Clockwork Mod then just switch off your phone --> press power button then when logo appears->> press the Volume down button rapidly then a screen will appear then use volume down button to scroll down to Backup and restore option --> press power button to select then browse to the last backup made
Its done
If u want to put the backup file to your phone make a folder in your sdcard namelyClockworkmod and copy the backup file to it

The phone is not registering the back up file. It is essentially just a 2.8 gig file doing nothing.

That has sort of worked. The back up is in there and it can be seen. But when i tell it to restore it its just goes to the standard boot up screen. and when i restart the phone its back to were it was before.
Thankyou for your help so far though.
try to wipe everything and than restore
Pretty much it's just booting normally, rather then in clockwork recovery.
I'm sorry that I can't help you more on this, but thank you very much for giving me 'thanks '.
Actually I am also new to android, just on November of 2012.I joined Xda few weeks ago.I know little about android. Will you be my friend?

I think a simpler fix is simply this:
1-flash stock recovery
2-boot into stock recovery
I have not heard of this not working yet.
