Just found out that ISIS is not compatible with the Verizon Galaxy S3! How stupid can you be, their top selling phone next to the iPhone and you are starting off a service by not making a top phone compatible? Who ever is in charge of ISIS should be fired.
It is possible to do as TMobile has made it possible. Instead Verizon has terrible phones that basically no one buys available to the service.
Just disgusts me.

Did you go into Verizon and get a new SIM for it? I had to do that on AT&T and ISIS works for me now. (fully stock s3)

All you need is a new SIM.
i called the local verizon store here and they said no, the S3 will not work with the new sim yet. Are you guys hearing something different?
Yet another example of the stupidity, fragmentation and stuff that doesn't work in Android. The carriers decide how to squeeze every last dollar out of users, Google doesn't bother to enforce anything and only cares about Nexus, oem's ignore Android standards.
Just watch while next year Apple comes out with its own branded NFC system and everyone will fall over backwards trying to support it. Then we can whine and moan about how 'Android did it years ago' while Apple will get a patent, millions of users overnight, and become the standard.
Apparently the only Verizon phone to support it is the Droid Incredible 4G LTE.

Yup. I'm really getting tired of Verizon being a dictatorship. THEY say what we get. Even though I plunk down $600+ for a new phone, or $200-$300 if it's an upgrade, (I can't use a phone for 2 years, I get bored) I don't get to use it the way I want to. Ridiculous.
To the people who aren't happy on Verizon, why not pay your eft or wait until your contract ends and leave to another carrier?
While you may see them as a dictatorship it was your decision to sign a contract with them. Research is key and living with your decisions, good or bad, is a part of life. We ultimately are to blame.

Well for some of us there is no good alternative to Verizon. We had AT&T since the first car phone came out. I had full service when I owned the original RAZR and we didn't even have 2g just regular whatever service. Then they upgraded the towers after Cingular was bought by AT&T and service got so bad that we had one bar inside but if we wanted to make a call we had to step outside on the porch. Then when 3g came we didn't have ANY service whatsoever in a mile radius. So for some of us we aren't there aren't any viable alternatives.
Plus Verizon has better service than any other provider I have ever been with, they are just dictators with their phones.

Nothing has been set in stone. A friend of mine explained the reason the S3 isn't working yet is that the firmware needs to be updated to use the newer sim system to allow ISIS to work (due to the LTE hardware that Samsung uses).
I expect this will be resolved shortly. As of right now ISIS is still in testing phases anyways. Verizon invested a lot of money in ISIS. It's in their best interest to get it working.

I didn't say you couldn't be tired of their bs. I'm not always thrilled with them either, but that's true with almost all companies. But when people throw around words like "dictatorship" and the like, it's extreme to say the least.
All I'm saying is at the end of the day we choose what we choose. We take the good and the bad with it.
Complaining about stuff like this is comparable to me buying a Hummer and then complaining that it has bad mpg.

Maybe they should create a phone that can actually compete with new android devices like the Evo 3d, now thats competition! In America "Competition means good business."

At&t is supposed to be getting it. But it doesnt look like there is any s2 branded for tmobile, or at least that supports tmobile AWS bands. You can order one unlocked and put your tmboile sim in it, but it will only work for voice and 2g/edge data. Even with that limitation...ive been thinking of buying one anyways, or the single core at&t infuse 4g and just unlock it and put my sim in it and live with the 2G data. Dont think i have the balls to live with 2g tho.
On another note, im guessing Tmobile USA isnt getting it because of the Hercules thats supposed to be released in September which is supposed the be like the s2 on steroids. lol.
I need to buy something new. The fact there are much more powerful phones out there even though i love my gs4g...is killing me softly...lol

I tend to agree on the lame part (I hate being subjected to someone else's music choices involuntarily), but try not to judge. I'm pretty sure a majority of carriers offer this, since it's another way to part subscribers from money.

I've seen some threads that are close, but I wanted to know if I can flash my GS3 from Sprint for use on the Verizon network? I'm not trying anything shady, it's just that Sprint's network has me about at my end, and I was given a demo S3, and man, it's not even close.
So, I have an S3, with no outstanding contract from Sprint, can I use it with a new account on Verizon? Just trying to avoid ending up with a Sprint GS3...
Thanks

Don't worry about it. Sell the sprint one and use that money to buy you a brand new s3 or better. S3 will be free for black Friday. If you want to sell the s3 its going for about 300-400 in perfect shape. 200+ used.

Technically he wouldn't owe them d*ck... They made the mistake and he was clueless about it he didn't think of the reasons why the credit was there and spent the money... So what? Their fault their problem... If anything they might wanna take that money out of one of their employee's paycheck...
This said, there most likely is a very reasonable explanation about that and it's not a mistake... That's what always happen to me when I get all excited about things like that lol...

Yea who cares about those dirty employees. They make a mistake and they should be punished by losing money out of their paycheck. They're definitely not real people and definitely out to help you 100 percent of the time. That's what kills me. So many people talk about calling into Verizon and "raising hell" abusing the employees. I guarantee half the people here have never worked a customer service job and seen how stressful it is to be yelled out or make a mistake. Maybe instead of exploiting that mistake you should just wait for them to fix it. The worst part about working for verizon or any other company like it is that you make a mistake it comes right out of your pocket. You use that credit and you take money from someone else for making an honest mistake. I'm glad to know that there's people just ready and waiting to exploit verizon and by extension the employees. And the reason they are so ready to do this is because Verizon owes them something. Entitled ignorant customers, contrary to what that employee who's gonna lose 615 dollars is gonna be forced to say, I thank you for being the worst part of verizon.

Check out Wal-Mart Family Mobile. I used them for a while. Was very happy. $45 a month for unlimited everything (throttle data after 2GB). Runs on the t-mobile network. Only concern was lack of short code and call forwarding support. Other than that, I just put my account on automatic payment and never had to contact them again after the initial setup. You pay at the end of the month (it's not prepay), there are no contracts, no credit checks, and you can even pay your bill in person at any Wal-Mart.
