Hey. I checked the threads and while I found posts relative to the expected time of charge as compared to other ROMs, I don't know if this was covered. I didn't see it at least.
Anyways, today I installed the latest CM10 nightly. What I have found is not an issue of how long the battery lasts when charged, but that it charges at all. I've found that using the stock, included charger, it doesn't even recognize that it's plugged in. It may indicate it for a second but then it displays to 'Connect Your Charger' on the lockscreen. This also happens when I remove the cable from the wall socket and plug it into the USB port on any number of computers. It charges for a little bit on USB but then stops and begins draining.
If I power down the device and plug, it charges effectively on USB. If I reboot, it charges effectively on USB but seems to eventually hit a wall and stop charging.
Has anyone noticed this issue with their Skyrocket on CM10? If this is a known issue, I apologize for not noticing it. I've read Team Chopsticks for their ROMs to see if it's an issue on their end too but haven't noticed it addressed. I didn't notice it in the Cyanogen forums. And lastly, again, I didn't see quite this issue mentioned yet.
Addt'l: I never did the wakelock testing on CM9 because I was satisfied with the battery life but I'm thinking maybe I should check it on CM10 just as a potential. However, I am still surprised to see the device plugged in, rebooting, gaining charge, and then losing charge.

Hello...
Does anyone else out there have the same problem as me?
Well, whenever I insert the usb / wall charger, my n1 often would not charge.
However, when I took out the battery and put it back in, sometimes it will start charging again. ( not all the time though... )
What is wrong with my N1?
PS - On the ' slide to unlock ' screen, it says that my phone is charging, but when you look at the battery logo, it isn't.
The battery percentage just keeps going down.
Might be related to the kernel you're running and your SetCPU settings.
I think it's normal if you have more than 90% charge, on my N1 i have a threshold between 100% and 90% of charge.
If wait for a full charge, when disconnect and reconnect, it will not charge again until it 'touch' 90%.
there was also some issues when going from one kernel to another. As in, if you were at 100% charge while on kernel .29 then upgraded to .33 it wouldn't charge. Something like that. Search around but i'm sure its just like ^^ said that it won't charge till it gets to >90%..... If it doesn't charge once below that, its the way you changed kernels at 100% charge and you'll need to do some searching.....THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT SECTION THO, MODS WILL BE MOVING I'M SURE.....
Ah sorry. Mod, could you please move this thread to appropriate section? Thanks.
same thing has been happening to me for the past few days. weird nonetheless, i thought it was due to setcpu so i uninstalled and it began to charge again, never thought about the threshold stuff though. good to know.
Noob.

I have asked why doesn't my phone charges more than 40-50%.
We have concluded that it's a cable issue.
I have ordered new charging cables (high-quality OEM), and they will take a week to arrive.
Now I am encountering something new.
After a full 10 hour-charge, I notice that the indicator shows "100%".
BUT, once I pull it out of the plug, it drops to 37%.
This is the 2nd time it is happening.
Is this still cable-related? Or perhaps something else is the issue?
Thanks!

Um I haven't ever seen thus one before. Try this. Power off, pull battery, replace battery, charge while off. Wait till 100% boot up
infused infuse helping other infused infuses?

Reports of wildly swinging battery percentages are useless without actual battery voltage reports IMO...
I have had this odd problem two days in a row and suspect that I have narrowed it down. My phone has died twice with a sufficiently charged battery. When it dies, it is completely dead until connected to a charger. In fact, the first time, the charging indicator didn't come on for awhile after connecting it to the charger. I was sure that it needed to be replaced for while.
Here are some interesting observations.
I am running Cataclysm from 11/26 with ElementalX-0.11 slightly undervolted and configured for USB Fast Charge. When it died today, the battery meter read 71% although I did think that was quite high for how I used the phone. Both times, the phone would not respond to the power button at all. When I have had other phones died, they usually respond and try to boot at least. Because it won't respond at all, I doubt that it is the undervolting.
Has anyone else had this behavior? I saw one other person mention it, but the thread got hijacked to complain about the manufacturer's replacement policies. It may be that the batter meter is completely off and needs to be reset somehow.
Effects of USB Fast Charge
Has anyone had issues using USB Fast Charge? I was using ElementalX kernel which I configured for USB fast charge and used a 2 amp charger. The phone shutoff and would not power on (described below). I do not know, but it seemed to be correlated to switching to a stronger power supply in my car. I was thinking that something was overheating or otherwise having problems.

I have an unlocked, rooted, twrp 2701, cm11 TF. About a week ago the charging went all crazy on me.
At first I was convinced that it was related to a bad cm11 update, but people on this forum have since convinced me otherwise.
So, here is the issue. The tablet will not charge correctly, but will super slow trickle charge, and wont charge over 60%. I have 2 different bricks with 3 separate cables I have tried. I get no led what so ever. Another odd thing that happens, if the tablet is off and I plug it in, it turns on the tablet. Never do I get any sort of led or recognition that it is charging. I just know it is charging, because if I leave it on the charger all night I get a 60% battery the next day.
All the charging pins look good, the cables are good, the bricks are good... What did I fry?
Amazed at long battery life, almost 5 hours SOT time and 50 % battery usage. Just plugged in OEM charger and it's not charging. Going to settings/battery, it says, plugged in, can't charge right now. The phone is cool, and has not been used excessively. I powered it off, and now it's immediately charging ok. Powered it back on and now it's charging ok...??? Any ideas folks? Anyone seen this before?
@gsw5700 Did you ever get this sorted?
I'm having the same issue, have sent full repro dumps to OP (in response to my filing a bug), but I haven't figured out why we're "the few", although the reports are growing, in the OP (manuf.) forum.
I can charge with my Dash charger, most times, but almost never with a regular cable, even a 2.4A source, but mostly my Qi receiver, which is good for about 550-700ma. This setup had worked on my 5T (my wife continues to use it to charge, it's just "part of the phone" for her).
Frustrating, REALLY frustrating, for a new, flagship device. I might exchange it, but I suspect it's s/w, because if I reboot, it'll charge low-current, one-time, until I stop charging, then a reboot is the only thing that allows it to work again.
"Reboot to charge", it's almost a feature, NOT ;-]
I too have really awesome battery life, once it's charged, it's really solid all-day, easily, that part is great, once I can get it charged (non-Dash) ;-]
Hi, this only ever happened once, on the first day or so that I got the phone. It's fine now, charges really fast and cool on the dash charger. Also charges fine on standard chargers, just slower
Hmm, okay, well thanks for the update.
I'm sending mine back, something "weird" is up here, and even if it "feels" like s/w (the reboot "fixing it once", rinse/repeat, for example), I'm not taking any chances.
