I was currently using CM 10 2012.10.12 nightly and the connection works fine. When i switch back to ANY sense rom, downloads in the play store get stuck halfway. Even browser downloads. I tried wiped fully, even system and internal sd but still can't get a steady connection, even on wifi. Everything works fine when i go back to the CM 10 nightly though. Any tips?

I was running happily on a CM 10 build when I decided to upgrade to CM 10.1. I did this by simply downloading the latest nightly and flashing in CMW (wiped everything ect) however the touch screen didn't quite work and I assumed it had something to do with me not updating a bootloader or kernel or something to 4.2 as well. I decided to go back to the CM 10 build I had, flashed it, device booted, but none of the apps would work so I decided to reflash. Did a wipe ect only this time it hung in the middle of the install for a solid 15 minutes. After waiting another 5 minutes I held the power button until the device turned off thinking I would just go back into recovery wipe and flash. Now the device won't turn on and I'm afraid I've bricked it. Does anyone had any ideas of what I can do?

What version of CWM were you using? Specifically.
If you currently have a JB bootloader, it doesn't matter which CM 10x you install.
If you flashed the original back, you should have done all wipes first. They are 2 separate builds.
If you wipe Data, and it hangs at wiping Data, then your memory chipset is hosed. Send it in for repair. It will require a mainboard replacement.
You can try installing a full stock rom first though.

Try seeing if you can get into recovery but holding i believe power and vol- or vol+
If not, see if your computer detects it, then try adb or fastboot
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
i have xperia mini pro (sk17i). i was on cm9.
it was working fine for more then a year.
i toogled from 2g to 3g. the network was too weak.
then it started rebooting.
then i restored my phone. still keeps rebooting.
formated, still reboots.
installed zip cm9 from sd, still keeps rebooting.
flashed kernel and installed cm10.
still keeps rebooting.
if i put it in aeroplane mode as soon as it comes to home screen then it's stable.
as soon as i get out of aeroplane mode, it reboots.
now it doesn't even reboots completely,
also i can't go in recovery mode.
what should i do?
If you can find baseband firmware (radio) for your device, try re-flashing the same version or a new version of that.
My headphone jack was messed up so Verizon sent me a new phone. I backed up my old phone (running CM nightlies) via cwm nandroid on my external sd and restored it on the new phone. Everything seems to be working except wifi stops working after one to five minutes, usually closer to one. The phone says connected, but data transfer stops after a couple minutes. I downloaded and flashed the latest CM nightly but the problem persisted. Then I unrooted/flashed stock via odin/locked bootloader, but the problem persisted. Currently I'm back on my restored nandroid.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Thank you!
what radio firmware were you running before the new phone? Is it the same? Try resotring to stock and not loading your backup items, just connect to the wifi manually and see if it works better.
I was running the latest radios. That's what I did, I flashed stock (VRBMF1) via odin, did the initial first time setup and connected to wifi. After a couple minutes everything began hanging again.
I flashed the radios again, but no luck.

Have you tried to connect to another network? It could be a network instead of a phone problem.
So yesterday I successfully upgraded my Motorola Defy from 2.2 to jellybean using the latest version or the cyanogen mod. I also installed the latest Gapps. Everything seemed fine until attempted to connect to wifi. When I click on the browser app it loads then instantly crashes. Then I tried the play store but it would not connect. It says it is connected to my home wifi next to the connection but says not connected under the drop down menu.
To try to fix this I reinstalled the cyanogen mod and gapps. Same problem. Then I tried a later version of them with still no luck. Every time I have installed I have restored and cleared the cache. The lasted install won't even turn on wifi.
Everything I have downloaded has been from links on this site. I am a total noob at this and have no idea what's wrong so I've just given as much info as I can.
Whenever I try to encrypt my device, it reboots. The android line-art image appears for about ten seconds. Then the device reboots without encrypting. I've tried as root, non-root, with wifi on, and off. I've tried it in portrait mode and landscape (read somewhere that this helps). 100% power, somewhat less power. I've tried reinstalling, and with two different roms: Cyanogen Unofficial 13, and Paranoid 6 (both run Marshmallow). I've even tried reflashing the recovery (currently using TWRP 3.1.1-0). Of course I've also wiped my internal storage. Everything else that I can see seems to work fine, except for encryption.
I'm honestly at my wit's end. Does anyone have any advice on how to reconcile this issue? Thanks ahead of time for any input.
