i have xperia mini pro (sk17i). i was on cm9.
it was working fine for more then a year.
i toogled from 2g to 3g. the network was too weak.
then it started rebooting.
then i restored my phone. still keeps rebooting.
formated, still reboots.
installed zip cm9 from sd, still keeps rebooting.
flashed kernel and installed cm10.
still keeps rebooting.
if i put it in aeroplane mode as soon as it comes to home screen then it's stable.
as soon as i get out of aeroplane mode, it reboots.
now it doesn't even reboots completely,
also i can't go in recovery mode.
what should i do?
If you can find baseband firmware (radio) for your device, try re-flashing the same version or a new version of that.

Starting this morning, my Nexus S is stuck in landscape mode.
When I fist boot up the phone, it seems to launch directly to the desk cradle mode, but it has never been connected to one.
Everything is landscape even the launcher. I can't use the phone because I can't reach the OK button for the SIM card PIN enter screen.
Factory reset didn't help. The inital setup is portrait, but after that it reverts to landscape.
Any ideas? Might this be a hardware problem?
EDIT: Android 4.0.3
EDIT2: I applied the VQ8PQk_V.zip OTA update manually to my stock 2.3.6 version. After a factory reset, the phone works as normal until the first reboot. The accelerometer is still working, i tested it after a factory reset before rebooting the phone.

Sorry me for waking up this thread from his graveyard after 3 month.
I have an i9023 with the same issue of Tocharius:
my device is stucked in landscape mode and when i try to turn on it I cannot enter PIN code because OK button is outside the screen. The only way I have to make it works is to wipe data partition and everything works fine until first reboot.
In addition to this problem fastboot has stopped recognizing my phone, while ADB still recognise it.
When the issue firstly appears I was under CyanogenMod 9 v6.0 (Kalimocho).
I tried to flash other ROMs, but nothing has changed.
I tried to revert to stock, but nothing has changed.
I tried to open the phone, clean every connector i found, but nothing has changed.
Someone can help me?
I got this problem too. Lately I installed CodeNameAndroid 2.0 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25941996#post25941996 and after reboot my phone got stuck in landscape mode. I tried to reflash the rom and everything was fine until a reboot. Wiping data and resetting factory helps until reboot. I flashed another rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588799 and again the phone was stuck in landscape after reboot. I tried all rotation settings but nothing changes.
I was browsing settings searching for something that could fix it and turned adb debugging off and on and now it is stuck in portrait mode.
My headphone jack was messed up so Verizon sent me a new phone. I backed up my old phone (running CM nightlies) via cwm nandroid on my external sd and restored it on the new phone. Everything seems to be working except wifi stops working after one to five minutes, usually closer to one. The phone says connected, but data transfer stops after a couple minutes. I downloaded and flashed the latest CM nightly but the problem persisted. Then I unrooted/flashed stock via odin/locked bootloader, but the problem persisted. Currently I'm back on my restored nandroid.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Thank you!
what radio firmware were you running before the new phone? Is it the same? Try resotring to stock and not loading your backup items, just connect to the wifi manually and see if it works better.
I was running the latest radios. That's what I did, I flashed stock (VRBMF1) via odin, did the initial first time setup and connected to wifi. After a couple minutes everything began hanging again.
I flashed the radios again, but no luck.

Have you tried to connect to another network? It could be a network instead of a phone problem.
Okay this is the second time this happened. My phone just completely shut down randomly as I was opening a tab in Chrome. I turn it back on, flashes Samsung then the Slimkat screen but won't go past. I put the battery in it, it turns itself back on (vibrates right after I put the battery back in). I can get to recovery and I can get to download mode.
When I had CM11, the phone would keep rebooting. The last time it did this, it had the same problem, so last night I said screw it and went to Slimkat. To fix this issue, I had to go back to a stock rooted rom, then flash recovery, then flash Slimkat, etc. It worked until today. I flashed the build on my phone and that doesn't fix it either.
What is the problem? Seems like my phone is soft bricking itself? I'd rather not go back and configure everything yet again.
Okay I've wiped data, tried to reflash the rom, and now when I get into download mode, the phone just goes black.

Ok so I wake up yesterday to found out that my Whatsapp suddenly fc. And when i open it back, it shows that my chat backup are messed up and i need to restore it.
And while doing that, it started to reboot by itself.
I thought it will be okay after that.
It not.
Reboot, power on, Dropbox fc. Few seconds after that, reboot again.
power on, another apps fc. after few seconds, reboot again.
It keeps rebooting into the same state when i woke up that morning. Wifi turned on, few notifications on panel, (thou i keep clearing it everytime when it power on)
Now ive tried wipe data , wipe cache, everything in CWM. but it keeps rebooting into the same state!
Ive also tried flash with stock rom via ODIN.
Guess what?
It appear PASS on ODIN, but when the tab powered on, is still went back to the previous same state.
Ive google around and some said it is the sign of memory flash fail or smthing.
anyone maybe could help me out?
im on dead end.
Hello fellow xda-ers,
I have a OnePlus One, but i cannot seem to update the phone.
What is the exact problem?
- there is a system update ready, so i download the update and it asks me to install and then it tries to reboot
- the phone shuts down and doesn't reboot, i have to manually turn the phone off which makes the update sequence stop.
- the phone tells me again theres a update, but it doesnt reboot after it shuts down.
- even just giving the phone the command to reboot, just shuts the phone off and the phone doesn't reboot.
What did i try?
- via oneplus toolkit (mac) i flashed it to stock default, but still the problem persists.
- i flashed a 5.1.1. firmware straight from cyanogen mod, but still the problem persists.
- i flashed a custom recovery (while unchecking the update cm recovery), but the problem still persists.
I don't know what to do... Anybody have advice? It would be much appreciated.
I am pretty aware of what to do and not to do, i have been flashing phones since the iPhone 3gs. But this is just odd.
I was having similar problem. Except mine was booting into the bootloader. From there I tried to manually install the update. It kept failing so I gave up. Then about a week later (today) I let it try to install and it seemed to be working, except when it finally booted back up, it had completely wiped my phone!!! Now I'm midway though reinstalling all my apps and it gives me the "There's an update available for you phone". So apparently it didn't even update in that process.
I've got the exact same problem here.
