I'm not an expert on this, but as far as I can see from the screenshot, the Re-Partition box isn't supposed to be checked. Try fixing that and flashing again.
If you get it working get rid if ROM manager. Oh and post this in the q&a thread instead.

Try that ! And don't forget to thank him ! Hold both buttons. Your gonna have to fix the drivers because heimdall uses different drivers than Odin so make sure yu fix that
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda premium
You may need to repartition with Odin or heimdall. But to do that you need the pit file and a package with all of the partitions. that includes param.lfs dbdata.rfs factoryfs.rfs cache.rfs modem.bin and zImage.
Heimdall might also insist you use the boot loader files as well.
What ever package you are using check what's inside with 7zip or something that can handle .tar files and make sure you have all the relevant images in there before you select repartition. If that's all good and it still fails get a new USB cable. And if that fails use heimdall. its not too hard to use.
Also note that this is not a development thread. This section is more for releasing or at minimum did ussi g the development of ROMs kernels or software. Its not for help me threads. This is a q/a type thread. I'm surprised the self appointed forum police haven't badgered you to ask a mod to move it already.

Sir, please do not post threads of Non Dev in the Development Section. Thank you and moved.
after using hemidall one click atleast now my phone is alive....but problem is still there..when i plugin the wall charger, samsung logo comes up and then phone immediately goes into android recovery (See attachement). if i plugin the phone to pc, same thing happens.
now my question...
1) how can i install a ROM
2) how can i install a kernel
if i sound noob i m sorry but i could find answers to my question anywhere..
Please help..
and moderators.. if I am again posting in the wrong section, I m sorry but im berserk at the moment so apology in advance....
In the second post of the qkster's heimdall unbrick you will find entropys dd kernel also packed in a heimdall one-click. Flash it and wipe data, cache & dalvik from your new red cwm.
If phone still doesn't boot, repeat flashes with both one-clicks.

Red cwm does not allow connection of USB . Do this. Odin back to stock. Reboot and when phone is on stock, root your phone flash cwm download ROM then boot in recovery then flash. What file specifically are you using to Odin?

Hey xda i have samsung tab p6200 and it is being dead..when i connect it to a charger it shows a bttery with triangle..and i can go into download mode but not recovery mode..and i m trying to flash with odin but dont know really how to flash..it freezes at setup connection and i relly dont know how to seleect files for pda bootloader etc..please sumone help me with it..can my tab be fixed to normal?? ..i wan to install indian firmware.plzzz reply..
As long as you can boot into download mode, your tab isn't dead. Now, make sure you have a copy of the .tar file you want to flash in ODIN.
Connect your tab to your computer. Give it some time as your computer *might* need to download and install some Samsung drivers for the tab.
Once its done, launch ODIN. On the top left box, you should see some sort of "comp" message with numbers. This will tell you ODIN is correctly reading your tab. Now, below the boxes to the left will be some options listed as "repartition", "Autoreboot", and "F.Reset". Make you UNCHECK repartition AND f.reset. So autoreboot should be the ONLY option checked. Now, to the right you'll see some slots that say "phone", "PDA", "Bootloader", etc. ONLY click on the "PDA" slot and load your .tar file. Now click "start" and let ODIN work its magic. When the firmware flash is complete, your tab will reboot on its own.

As for your phone, some devices dnt get their own subforum here on XDA. Maybe try using the search function? And if there is in fact no subforum for it here on XDA, a google search is bound to bring up communities on other websites that are working on development for the Galaxy Advance.
Edit: Seems that there's only a root method here on XDA, nothing more :\ Google might be your best bet for CWM bud

phone is not being recognised by the pc so how can i use heimdall
So can you not get into download mode?
I can get into the download mode but when I connect the phone there is no response from the computer
I've been trying to get people here to download mobile Odin lite and run it...send their file to chainfire so our device could get the support for it but....I guess they just don't understand what we are missing out on.
I've sent him what was asked for but if others wont jump in and do their part....I give up.
All he asks for is a .pit,a kernal, and the mobileodin.txt that is generated from the mobile Odin program
I think you need to connect your phone in download mode go into device manager and delete all the drivers under the USB section and try these steps
TwitchyEye said:
1. Go here and download heimdall suite.
https://github.com/Benjamin-Dobell/Heimdall/downloads
2. Extract and open drivers folder.
3. Connect your phone in download mode.
4. Run zadig and click show all devices, your phone should then show up in the list.
5. Click install drivers, it should say drivers successfully installed.
6. Try running the heimdall one-click of your choice.
7. Go back to step 3 and flash it again this time with bootloaders.
If it still fails, uninstall whatever USB drivers you have (one guy says he had to uninstall all of them, usually just the phone will do) reboot the pc and try again.
Actually you should go ahead and do this last thing first.
Godspeed

No its in magda623 thread in general where he claims it works on his phone .
Its basically Odin on your phone so you can flash back to stock for what ever reason....whether returning back to bml from mtd or a soft brick etc. Without having to hook up to your computer.
Lol no it won't brick you it simply creates a txt file that you send to chain fire so he can see what he needs to do to make our device compatable.
Hi how you doing!
First of all wanted to thank the entire community of developers for the effort made to us! :good::good:
I tried to return to stock my infuse with odin and I was wrong to choose the phone, then select the file pda again . The process is not complete, then turning off the phone shows me that image. I can not activate the download mode and the recovery. The pc recognizes the phone but nothing happens even odin doesn't recognize
tanks and i apologize for my bad English.
Reinstall your drivers you can flash from that screen its like download mode.Try different cords and USB ports too.Good luck.

Hello My name is Victor and I F***ED UP :crying:
So I was doing a phone encryption and it was taking 3 hours so I thought It didn't work and took the battery out ( I WAS ROOTED AT THE TIME ) and then all the problems started, I got a boot loop but managed to fix that with Odin 3.10.6, Then It wouldn't go into home screen ( The Language was German and it said "Encryption Failed Please Reset Phone" or something like that, after that I found my self in a position where I tried Odin again and It failed and I got a screen saying "firmware upgrade encountered an issue, Please Select Recovery mode in Kies & Try again" ( I got told this is a BRICKED phone now and CAN'T do anything about it. so I tried Kies and it doesn't recognize my device and when I go to recovery in Kies and type in my model in Kies Crashes :crying: I have no idea what to do, everything I try Failes in Odin and cant do anything. Also in Odin the box that should turn yellow or blue doesn't do that, but it says it's been added.
P.s The files I used

PLEASE HELP ME :crying: :crying: Thank you to every one that takes their time to read this even if you don't answer THANK YOU
Hi thank you for using XDA Assist. Try getting the stock firmware from Samsung-updates.com or sammobile.com. You'll download a zip file. Extract it using 7-zip or winrar. Use the resulting .tar.md5 file in Odin, PA for the latest versions of Odin. Don't use a pit file. If you need further help you can ask in your device's specific forum here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4. They are the experts on your device.

Does the box in Odin that changes color to show your connected turn yellow or blue? If not, go to device manager on your pc. Do you see an icon with a yellow exclamation mark? If so, right click it and go to where it lets you choose from a list on your computer. Choose android adb composite interface.
Also, use the usb ports in the back of your pc, not the ones on the front.
