So after being a long time lurker I finally decided to post.
So after I flashed Sky-JB 7.4 I started to experience one major bug with the MMS. I can't seem to view images or mms if the data was not on at the original time the mms was sent. In ICS and other samsung based roms, if a mms was sent to me and my data was turn off, It would begin to download once I turned it on. But now on CM10, it just hangs there claiming to be downloading.
Now I have already searched this and this seems to be an issue but I wanted to know if this is something that other people are running into using a CM10 based rom.
I too turn data on and off per mms but have no problems with it. I'm on orthus. But I use handcent sms for my texting.

ive been running ARHD roms and i noticed that i cannot send or receive MMS messages at all. I tried shooting a message in the forum but its so busy with Wifi calling stuff that nobody answer's Ive tried playing with the APN settings but no go. Anyone have the same issue??
I am having the same issues. It doesn't matter what rom, I have tried ARHD, LeeDroid, and Coredroid. Still the same thing. I never had a problem when I was on stock. I work for T-mobile and I checked the APN setting and they are all correct. I can't seem to figure it out. It's kind of frustrating.
download ANY CM7 rom and take the apns.conf file (from system/etc i think) then push to the same place on your phone using ADB.I expect the rom doesnt have your carrier,i say use CM7 becaus eit has them all
I've been using [ROM][UNOFFICIAL]Tiny's CM10.1 Inc builds (NIGHTLY) on my HTC Droid Incredible phone and it has worked well with few issues. So I put it on my wife's DINC too. Since installing it she has stopped getting voicemail notifications from her cell service, Page Plus. It might just be coincindence as she's had past issues with voicemail such as a new messages counter that was always 1 too high until after much frustration with PP customer service they fixed the issue. I don't use Page Plus (I use Google Voice with Freedompop's free data service and everything is peachy) so I don't have an easy way to test this without taking my wife's phone from her while I mess with it. And their customer service is not enthusiastically helpful when one is using unsupported software on an unsupported phone.
I tried turning notifications off/on through Page Plus's personal options menu. I tried clearing data under phone.apk and tried another full wipe, clear Dalvik cache and reinstall and tried a couple other voicemail notification apps through the Google Play store without success.
Google searches show some have had to use a patched phone.apk to fix a lack of voicemail notifications after installing custom roms, but I don't know if that's relevant to this case. I tried searching directly through these forums for related issues but currently get a message "vbulletin: searching temporarily unavailable"
Before delving deeper into trying to determine whether the fault lies with Page Plus, this rom, or some configuration issue I was hoping for some guidance. Sorry for polluting the general thread, but I'm a newb with few options.
Having same issue. I have Page Plus as well and cannot get any visual notification of voice mails. Any help would be appreciated. Just upgraded from Gingerbread and like Jelly Bean except for this small issue. Thanks.
Thanks for letting me know you have the same issue. It strengthens my suspicion the issue is with the rom and not with Page Plus. The problem with searching these forums went away and with further searching it seems likely the issue lies with phone.apk, but others fixes for this issue appear to be specific to the carrier and I did not find one for Page Plus.
Our temporary work around was to set up a Google Voice account for my wife and forward her voice mail there. But that has a few drawbacks. Now she needs a data connection to get her voicemail and Page Plus prepaid data is silly expensive so she only gets her voicemails while connected to wifi.
I expect we'll soon try flashing back to a known working rom and see if the issue goes away. If so, that will confirm the issue is with the new rom. I'll post an update when we know more.

I tried several free voicemail notification apps from the Google play store but none of them worked for Page Plus under any of the versions of Jelly Bean that I tried.
So in resignation I flashed CM 7.2 and voice mail is working perfectly again. I'd appreciate hearing any solutions for getting voicemail notifications working for Page Plus in Jelly Bean on a droid incredible but am unlikely to explore this further on my own.
Got both mms and voicemail notification working with AOKP Jelly Bean Milestone 1 on my Fascinate with Page Plus. I tried CM10.1 and Gee Wiz 4.2 and neither worked. Gee Wiz worked for the mms but not for the notifications. CM10.1 did not work for either mms or vm notification. So, AOKP it is for me! I really like JB and did not want to go back to GB. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I'll look into AOKP for the Droid Incredible.
All of a sudden, I can't send MMS messages when WiFi is on. I'm using GoSMS and CM 10.1 21030324. I tried jumping back to backups of CM10.1 to see if that would fix it, nope.
I found some links in a search but they are from roughly 6+ months ago, no real resolution.
If I turn off WiFi, it works.
It used to work fine with WiFi on.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!
I am having the same issues on CM10.1 Nightly (20130312) running Chomp. However, even by disabling WiFi I cannot send pictures. I am using an HTC One S on T-Mobile.
After a lot of troubleshooting, I just decided to go back to the last "stable" experimental build of CM 10.1 --- it solved the problem. So, it has something to do with CM nightlies.
I have the AT&T version of the G2, its been rooted and I've tried both the Omni and Mahdi roms which i love, but im having major issues with not receiving incoming texts. Some come in, some dont, i have no idea why. When i text myself, they all come through. But i have had mamy people tell me that they texted me and i didnt respond. I did notice sometimes that when i restart my phone, i get a rush of text messages/emails once it powers back on. Also, i've tried both hangouts and regular aosp messaging apps and they are al lthe same. I following OP install directions for all roms and did a full wipe (as i always do anyways) when installing the roms.
Anyone else run into this issue or have any ideas?

Check your APN, I had this issue once before and switched my APN from AT&T LTE to AT&T PHONE. I still get LTE coverage without the SMS issues.
I've tried everything to get MMS to work properly but it just wont... Unless i'm on a stock based ROM with the stock MMS app. I've literally tried for 2 weeks to get everything working right.
Problem: MMS is resized to around 30kb or less. It seems to be just the Recieve Size. I can send normal size.
The only way to fix this that i've found is setting the MMS user agent to "HTC6525LVW". But that only works in a few apps. Mainly in kitkat ROM stock messenger. I want to run DigitalHigh's GPE 5.0.1 final version (not 5.1 i need xposed fully working. Most mods are broken in 5.1). When i flash the ROM i can send/recieve MMS but the recieve size is around that 30kb point i mentioned earlier. Which is pretty much useless. Everything else works. I've tried everything i can think of. I want to use google messenger. It happens in hangouts also. Textra seemed a bit better but not like stock.
Is there any way to fix this? I am running Lollipop stock firmware if it matters. Help would be greatly appreciated. MMS is important to me and i don't really want to run stock.
This happens on aosp kitkat, lollipop gpe. I haven't tried CM i don't like CM's business practices.
i have this same problem. is there a fix? none of my picture texts go through
