Impressions of your Droid Charge/4G? - Verizon Droid Charge

Looking for general/specific impressions of the phone. Hah a droid x/droid x2 for 1.5 years, recently got wet on vacation and screen light/touch screen went out (can still see with right light or flashlight but touch screen not working it's done). My upgrade is in late December but I really didn't want to take it anyway to keep my unlimited data on Verizon, which also is the only carrier with 4g in my area (att, sprint, Verizon). Looking on ebay phones (3g and 4g) are really expensive. I've found a decent amount of refurb, used charges for around $100.
I liked my X2 in theory but even with cyanomod 7 the cam was slow, occasional force closes, widgets became unresponsive etc. Took great pics though. First Moto phone and kind of thinking it should be my last. I figure it's time to go to 4g, keep my unlimited and go from there. Thanks and I look forward to your responses.

There are threads for this already. If you can't be bothered to search, then I'm just going to tell you getting this phone at this point is a bad idea.

Tried didn't find anything discussing the phone, sorry about that. Specific reason? 4g phones are still fairly expensive but really looking to keep my unlimited

All of the later phones are way more powerful. It has to have the latest software version to run decent at all and it's even better to run Tweaked 3.0. If you root it and use the aforementioned rom it does just fine. Then be smart about using wifi and 4g and it gets pretty fair battery life.
The problem with it is it has way too little ram. It needs serious debloating to have any ram left over at all. I am happy with mine because I've done all the right things to make it a decent phone, You'd need to do some serious studying in this forum to get it to run good. If you like tinkering it's kinda fun. If you don't forget it.
Don't expect much more software development for it though. that's all pretty much gone. Don't expect ICS or anything later cause it has too little system memory for ICS plus Touchwiz.

Ok sounds good, I appreciate that. Just kind of tight right now after a surgery and holidays coming up or I'd buy a nicer phone. Guess I could just go with a 3g again but noticed that the droid x2 which I had is just as expensive on ebay as the charge by 15-20 bucks. I didn't mind the x2 but Moto is a pain even after installing cm7. Any recs on another 4g phone ? Plenty of Thunderbolts too but it seems that phone is also very old.

All I know about the Thunderbolt is it is famous for using battery fast. There might be custom software that remedies that. Check the T-Bolt forums. The LG Revolution has a washed out looking display compared to the Charge.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the Charge has a great display. That's it's best feature. Video looks great. Colors tend to be slightly over saturated but it can be read in direct sunlight.

You should really check out the nexus or the bionic. They are the 2nd gen lte phones (I consider bionic as 2nd gen since it was originally going to be vzws first lte but it had to be redone) which are much much better than tbolt/charge/revo. I know you don't like the x2 but it is a really big flop of a phone for motorola, and the bionic should be much better. If you can spare the money then I would go for nexus, though.

Thanks for the input guys, grinding on ebay. I appreciate all the input

No ebay. Swappa.

don't mean to muddy your decision process, but Dwith's Tweaked ROM has really made this phone enjoyable. combine that with some Jelly Bean themes that Blackness did, and you'll fall in love.
my lone concern with this phone is battery life - but after installing Juice Defender, I can go a full day in between charges.
the major downside is that due to lack of power, this phone will never see a fully functional ICS/JB ROM. but Dwith has made this one really great.

How is this battery life for you?

thought so initially - but that was before I was edumacated on how android devices work.
now that I understand it, I customized the app to my liking. and thus, I have significantly increased battery life (still would rather not have to, but it works for now)
remember, the app is free (paid versions offer more options - but I don't think I need those options).
essentially, the app recognizes that the biggest drainer on battery is mobile data. so, it cuts off mobile data when you are not using it (and you can schedule cycles periodically so you won't miss notifications).
what's new about it (from when I first tried it some 12+ months ago), is that my concern was that if I lost my phone, I would not be able to find it with the lookout app (needs mobile data). now, JD allows you to disable itself via text message. so if I lose my phone, I'll simply send a text to my phone from my google account (or someone elses phone) with a password, and then my mobile data is back on, and then I can use lookout to find out (lookout also automatically sends out a signal when your battery gets below 2% so that you can find your phone if it is ever lost and loses power).

controls: Data, Autosync (Ping)
schedules: 30m
triggers: battery 15%, screen, traffic 10kb/15s, 15s min
notification: text (hide status bar icon) - this is important so that the android auto task killer does not kill JD
essentially, I have it set so that whenever I unlock the screen, mobile data automatically turns on (if there is no wifi connection).
with these settings (coupled by me editing the build.prop wifi scan interval to 1800), I leave mobile data, wifi, and bluetooth on all the time. I never need to manually switch them. this is as seamless as it gets for me.

Ok Awesome guys so I just got in in the mail. Like new for $65.00 off ebay (used a sniping sight late at night . Anyway I've never done scripts but did install cm7 etc on my X2 with no problem. I'm running to store to get sim card. I'm not worried about ICS/the latest greatest just a well running phone and battery life is important to me as I sync emails and am on the go. I'm used to having to charge and always by default just throw it on in the car, at work etc.
What do you think it the best ROM/scripts/tweaks/etc to use maximize the potential of the phone. Thanks in advance.

ATT rep says GPS is Hardware issue

My Girlfriend just got home from going in to ATT after 2 months of trying to get her GPS to work and the rep told her that it is a hardware issue, and that the GPS system is having trouble communicating with satellites and that samsung has been unable to find a software solution. They then let her return her phone after almost 60 days with no penalty and she walked out with an iphone 4(a decision i was definitely against obviously!) I don't know how valid this is as it was just a guy working for ATT but I thought you all would appreciate the update, even though it is definitely not good news.
If I knew for sure that AT&T would swap me an iphone4 for this piece of garbage samjunk, I'd do that in a heartbeat. I'd kill to have a iphone4 rather than this huge letdown of a phone...But I should have known better after all it is samjunk.
Ever since the Froyo update, I have perfect gps!
It locks the second maps loads up and it is dead accurate. My phone is also much faster and I am now very happy. I wouldn't trade my Cappy in for an iphone, ever.
It maybe work for you but definitely not working for a lot of others. So no, Froyo update does not fix it. If you can, return the phone but I'd bet it is a huge YMMV.
I totally disagree even with the GPS issues I would never trade for the iphone 4. Anyone know how to enter lbs test mode on JI6? when i messed with those settings i still got better GPS readings than without LBS on FROYO.
JH7 did nothing but Froyo fixed the GPS for me as well. I had some trouble with it to begin with but after a reboot it was working great even after several more reboots. I have only had mine for about a week but I'm considering it as a test right now, and if I'm still happy at the end of 30 days then I'm keeping it, if not I'm going to exchange it for an iPhone. For the time I've had with it so far though, I have to say I'm very pleased with it, and even more so now that the battery is getting better. I even have my girlfriend, who is a pretty big Apple fangirl, trying to find someone to buy her iphone so she can purchase a captivate.

If she's got an iphone4, let's swap! I'll trade my Captivate for an iphone4 anytime.
Mine is still like brand new, not a scratch on it. I'll take photos or video to prove it. Its got the OTA JH7 update on it, and root, thats it.
Last time I checked, I was buying a cool phone that is thin, sounds great, is fast, looks nice, plays great video, is super-customizable and has tons of quality app options. I didn't buy a GPS. The GPS is a nice extra. I can use my in-car GPS or my protable GPS.
The GPS still locks on the phone, but it takes a while and is a massive battery drain.
If people want an iPhone 4 for a GPS, then let them get it.

The GPS on my phone works great, especially after the JH7 OTA update, then I went in and tweaked the LBS settings. GPS is not an issue. Everything else is. Crappy battery life, 304MB of RAM vs the advertised 512MB, laggy OS, terrible quality on the android apps. I just really hate everything about android. The S-AMOLED display looks pretty good (still not better than iphone4 though), but its an absolute battery hog.
I just really dont like the phone. The iphone4 smokes this samjunk and crappy java OS.

I enjoyed my iphone for the most part. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall having a free navigation app available... Oh, the main reason I switched was...dropping almost every call that lasted more than 5 minutes. Turns out it wasn't an issue with coverage like I suspected. My captivate hasn't dropped a call yet (crossed fingers). So I would recommend getting that iphone if you want an app device that sometimes makes phone calls... Then join an apple forum so you can go complain about it.

Jh7 fixed mine but cog2.2 froyo destroyed it. Flashed back to jh7 and all works well again. Meaning nav when driving stays locked on and tracks perfectly.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck for 22 more months of this phone until I can find someone with an iphone4 loony enough to trade for my Captivate.
I've advertised on craigslist several times a week and in any city within 150 miles of me asking for a Captivate for iphone4 trade. Haven't had one single reply yet. Seems as though nobody with an Iphone4 wants to get rid of it.
If anybody on this board knows of somebody who would trade iphone 4 for captivate, or if they just want to buy the phone straight out (They're going for around 399 on ebay, I'd sell for 325-350), please message me immediately, I'd love to get rid of this phone.
Seriously dude what are you doing on an xda forum if you hate everything about android I know its tough having a fully customizable phone that plays almost every kind of video file, a super amoled screen that is super battery friendly, all kind of hacks, lag fixes and customizable roms, and a ton more! You are probably right for wanting a very plain un interesting user friendly (boring) iphone and I mean everyone is doing it/has it and so should you!

Sorry for this but it totally torn my heart apart to see a 5 times less expensive phone with such a performance when it comes to gps..
Sorry for the bad quality of the image and the way is turned.i was in the car on a bumpy road.
Both devices were started in the same time and not just htc locked immediately but .. Just check the pic and the accuracy of the GPS

the driod incredible mopped the floor with everything else but that may have been a fluke. posibly saved in memory, the stores roof did a good job of blocking gps because even the motorolas never got a fix better than 30 meters. my phone eventually got 10 meters but quickly lost it. the driod increadible had a lock at 7 meters before i even got maps open on my phone! if that wasn't luck i must say im impressed! still im happy with my current gps quality. im not envious of the incredible as smooth as the os is and as good as the gps appears to be the snapdragon cant process 3d to save it's life.

GPS issues aside..you couldn't pay me enough money to jump back to Verizon or Sprint. With out a doubt the worst c/s,store techs and management I have ever had to deal with in my life at both companies. Also..I compared a brand new Droid X to my Captivate 2 nights ago at work..Actually..there was no comparison..the signal quality, speed of browsing..both through the phone and on the Internet..the Cappy won hands down..and this really really irked the Droid owner.Hell she even ask me to load the Fancy Widget weather for her because she hated the lame stock one on her phone..and wanted hers to look like mine. The quality of the Captivates screen was plainly evident too...She just couldn't get over how smooth and crystal clear the movies I had loaded played and looked...
So..Good luck if you decide to do this..but personally..I would at least wait and see if the 2.2 update gets delivered as stated and fixes the gps issue for you.The grass may look greener on the other side of the fence..but may not be taste any better...

now im off topic but the thing is that att corperate is holding them back in my area, we have been waiting for 3g for years they have teased us about it's coming in 2months since i got my iphone or even prior to. they installed the updates in september and the store reps said 29september was the day. now they say they dont know when. the network was tested in september causing no internet, spotty texting and dropped calls for 3 weeks then about 12 hours of 3g then back to the old system.
the verizon rates look identical to mt att plan, they have unlimited data again, the calls dont drop when the phones have good service like my bad network policies in this area do to lack of bandwidth and they have vetrans discounts. att has active duty discounts but not vetrans, although i did get them to apply a discount do to there own ignorance but if it they catch it i can loose it.
ill certainly wait for froyo on the facsinate before i choose and read there forums ect. and i may wait for a 4g phone. att has zero press on hspa+ that i can find and we cant even get a hsupa enabled phone. att can call and surf the web at the same time and as far as i know verizon cant (i actually do that quite often), hopefully 4g will allow that(a question i forgot to ask), the store rep say 4g will be in my are in the spring(they are usually misinformed so ill see)
roll over minutes are a plus on att.
obviously i havent made a decision, i was just comenting on my gps performance being on par with motorola with an unofficial froyo build.
Stupid question perhaps since I'm new to Android but what app was used in the original post to test the GPS?

GPS Test, it's on the market.
I've had my captivate for about six or seven weekd now and could not get a lock at all when it was stock for the first hour or two that i had it. I started flashing roms and have tried a bunch including most Cog roms and several with the setiron kernel. since going to the perception build 3 and now 4, i lock in a matter of seconds and stay locked. this thing is fantastic now. Before this I was just using my old Nokia E71 for navigation. Not any more. My Captivate is great now.
My captivate looks like the first phone all the time. Stock. Exchange your phone if GPS is a problem.
Bob

I love the phone but using gps is one of the things i use my phone for alot. I'm looking to go from att to tmobile soon so the phone will probably go.
Update. I ran gps test...it says accurate to 32 ft. I closed it and opened google maps....its off by at least 1 mile!
Could there be a class action lawsuit for this? Considering its an advertised feature or a massive recall? Or is the GPS not that important?

From Thunderbolt to Charge

Hi Guys...
I have a Thunderbolt now (rooted) that waqs giving me problems I was going from 4g to 3g to 1x and then I wasn't getting any data at all. This started last night....I figured I would wait because it was a network problem
This morning the same thing was happening....I called VZ tech support and they told me before they send me a new phone...I have to go to a VZ store and get a new sim card. I unrooted my phone and went to the store. I got a new sim card and that didn' help. I called back tech support and they said they will send me a new Thunderbolt. I have a family plan and I have 4 phones on my plan (mine is the only smartphone) I asked if I can get a CHARGE...after some back n forth chat...he told me that they will send me a NEW Charge...and also a belt clip and screen protector for no charge....
I love my Thunderbolt...and I know there are pros and cons betwen both phones.....but I really use my Slingbox app alot and I wanted to get the charge because of the screen...so Monday or Tuesday my new charge arrives...
hope I didn't make a mistake not going with the Thunderbolt....thoughts??
I want to thank all of the other members here who helped me with all my questions on the Thunderbolt....I will be changing forums but I will stop in here from time to time
The charge came out with an OTA update (yesterday) that made numerous fixes and charge owners are saying that it made the phone AWESOME!

Since you're posting in the TB section, you already know what to expect
The Charge is a nice phone as long as you don't mind Touchwiz & limited custom rom/kernel options (at least for the moment). Sorry the TB didn't work out for you.

The problem that you describe was exact what I went through with my Thunderbolt. I went through Verizon tech support on the phone, as well as the store, only to hit a dead end... Even after getting a new sim card.
They wanted to send me a certified like new phone, but I hated the idea. So, after 2 days without any data service, I decided to do a complete re-installation of Froyo from bootloader. Note: wiping the data / factory restore and cache wipe did not resolve the issue.
The problem was likely due to a corrupt system file.
So yeah, I went and downloaded a rooted RUU Froyo and just flash it in bootloader, not in recovery, and works.
Thank you for confirming that I'm not the only one with a ThunderBolt that went through this problem.

No phone is perfect. It's a matter of deciding what criterias are more important and deciding between the least sucky one. One area of weakness with the Charge is the inability to manage the radios and manually forcing between 3G or 4G. You lose the benefits of battery conservation by forcing 3G only and may experience constant flip flop between 3G and 4G causing loss of data connectivity in fringe areas. Also, no simultaneous voice and data on 3G.
I'm not entirely happy with my thunderbolt but because VZW sent me a really crappy replacement. Actually, my second replacement. I had an issue similar to you a while back. I couldn't even get 3G. No data. Went to the store, they had to call HQ or something, talked for 30min or so, ended up sending me a replacement over night. That phone was perfect before I lost data. The replacement had that reboot issue so I got a replacement for that one; the phone I have now. It came without working camera flash. I didn't notice until a week later when I used the flash for the first time. That's pretty unacceptable if you ask me. But, that's not the worst part. My screen is FALLING OUT of my phone. The whole right side of the screen is not glued/fastened in any way. It comes out 1/4 inch on it's own. Went to a VZW store and they couldn't be bothered since I wasn't there to buy a phone. My VZW store is useless. I'm going to have to go to a VZW kiosk at a nearby mall. Weirdly, they are the most helpful usually.
If your phone is an appliance to you, then you made an arguably good decision. The screen is a dandy one on the charge and battery life is notably better than the Tbolt. If you are a root/ROM guy, then you're totally off your nut.

I just went through this after coming from a Charge back to the Tbolt. The left side of the screen was loose and it took three Verizon stores to get a NEW replacement.
As far as the Charge goes, I liked the phone, but my friend has a Tbolt and we drive a truck so we are all over the country and the Tbolt sometimes would have service and the Charge wouldn't, or rather it seemed that the Tbolt could hold a signal longer than the Charge. I also didn't like the fact that I couldn't do voice and data in 3G, but I spend a lot more time in 3G since I travel all over. I also could never get over 20MB download on the Charge and my Bolt hit 42MB in Charlotte the other night. The battey is marginally better on the Charge, but it takes forever to recharge. Also the lack of Dev support and Samsungs issue with updates scared me. There is also a lack of RAM, 768 vs 512.
Walking away from it, the only thing that I think the Charge has over the Bolt is the screen. If you put a 1600 Mah battery in the Bolt, the battery life would be comparable., but that's just my 2¢.

I had a fascinate it don't matter if it just came out or not dev support is never strong for cdma samsung devices and always stellar for htc devices.
i feel like the Thunderbolt is a very raw device. Verizon pushed it out after so many ppl knew about it. Now we must wait for them to finish perfecting it and getting it to where they want it to be. I think once they have a good update for it, it will be an amazing phone. I love my TB, but right now its nothing to brag about. Once it gets GB and they address battery life and get all the app support, it will be even better.

Sigh, the charge has better battery life since it uses a bigger battery. I can get up to 30 hours or so on the extended battery with quite heavy usage.

I also am getting at no charge the holster...screen protector and I found out an extended battery for the charge. The VZ rep told me it is a 2600 battery....
I think getting this phone is a no brainer....especially with all the freebies....
the charge came out with an OTA update a few days ago....from what I am hearing from people who have the update, they are saying the data connections are better now with the new radio and so is the browser
I own both and prefer the Thunderbolt for reasons stated above. Though I do prefer the Charge screen.

As mentioned before, as long as you are not big on dev support, so be it. I find 300mb less usable ram, and a filesystem thats 1/4 of the performance a deal breaker. To each their own, of course.

Although you cannot force 4g only on the Charge, it does have a CDMA and 4G/CDMA toggle.

The reviews are pretty good for the charge... but the test will be after a month of ussing it, to see if your already searching for another phone...

[Q] Motorola Triumph and Everyone's Concern

Hello Everyone, First and foremost I want to thank the Triumph Community and all the mods/developers especially isaacj87 for all the hard work and dedication. I have had my Triumph for over 2 weeks now and I can't say I am blown away with it but for now I am happy. The triumph has a lot of features and it's on par with many other phones from 2010 hahah. The service as we all know either works great in your area or it will piss you of and you will want to slam it on the concrete. Regardless here's the problems I currently face that I hope CM7 will fix:
--GPS loading times are incredibly slow, To be more clear, after you enable the gps, it will take FOREVER to "locate location". (At other times after a cold reset it will work perfectly, weird)
--Low Volume (Volume sounds at 50%) on Pandora and sometimes calls. Almost everyone got pissed of at this and some have returned their phones.
--Lack of autofocus on the camera.
--Flickering issues when resuming phone. (I have never had an issue with this and honestly it wouldn't bother me at all.
--Dual Band Radio. Would It even be possible to have it just like the Intercept?
These issues are tolerable at times, but I am really desperate to see cm7 already. Please let me know what issues Cyanogen would be able to fix or not. Thanks in advance. (Note to Isaacj87 Hopefully you read this, anyways, I bet you will have cm7 fully working within a month and a half, if not sooner, Expect a generous donation when you are done btw!) Also If I can request someone kind enough to feature a step by step guide from root all the way to 2.3 later on! Sorry for typing all this but these are the most common concerns we Triumph owners face! Thanks in advance again!
Don't forget Battery Life!
I am seeing about 16 hours battery life on mine - just had to install Juice Defender and set my exchange email to come in manually instead of push. Before that I was seeing 8 hours or so.
Yea after I installed juice defender the battery life became comparable to any one else with a smart phone I've seen. It doesn't hold a candle to my g1 when it had a fresh extended battery that would let it idle for 4 days without dying and let me browse the web and the like for about 8 hours and only drain the battery half way, but that's a special case. Juice defender works pretty well at keeping the drain down when not in use.

Why shouldn't the Triumph be given some dev support? Because It's prepaid? Some people don't have the luxury to buy expensive phones and crazy $100 plans. We already have enough bills as it is. Btw, This phone WILL be purchased by many, and cm7 will make it work perfectly in the long run. If we can get Cyanogenmod soon, this may increase sales and Virgin Mobile may bring in better smartphones if it realizes there is a potential market. Quit hating already.
You got it wrong bro i love this phone, if ppl keep moaning and groaning on their little problems no one is going to want this phone,
So read my comment one more time and get the picture of what i was getting off my chest.

If they get 3g going faster and better GPS, and if they get the device going much faster too, I would be happy to try it out on Cyanogenmod, for now, the current build hasn't even been released and it sounds far from stable. This is all a step in the right direction though, happy to see these forums added and I hope to see some official Cyanogenmod support in the future.

The GPS problem can be fixed by a script that is floating around on android forums.com.
Just need a good extended battery and I will be happy!

I understand that there are some issues with the phone. Fortunately, I don't seem to have any of these problems.
In response to some of your concerns, CM7 still is Android. Yeah, it's packed with features, but it's still based off of AOSP. However, some issues could be resolved. GPS locking might be able to be tweaked and it's possible to adjust volume levels.
The other issues seem to be hardware related. I'm not sure what you mean by "lack of autofocus" because it's an autofocus camera.
Obviously, since I have some issues, I'd like to iron them out as well. We'll see what Motorola does with their source code packages and we can take it from there.

Sick of this!

Just been nosing on the ONE X forum since I'm thinking of jumping ship. They have YET another update? Where is the ONE S update to fix the pretty much crippling signal and jumping 3G HSDP+ issues or the soft reset when browsing the internet?
Sick of this phone and its lack of support from HTC on the MAO and software front...
Im with you !!
I love this phone, I aint gunna swap it, But i do wish HTC would play ball !!
Ive noticed various software bugs / glitches since owning this phone, I just wish they would bring out some updates, Then we can build some new ROMs with it
I contacted HTC yesterday and they said that an update is already coming..
A friend of mine owns an One X and since the 1.29 update he noticed no change so far but worse benchmark scores. We'll see if it has an impact on battery life at least.

Fully agree with you.
Great phone but not that great QA and after-sales support...
I've also been in contact with them about 2 different issues which finally got escalated with a remark from the support: "it will take some time...".
I'm done, i'm ringing three at lunch and asking for a disconnection. I have 2 days left on my cooling off period and i'm far from cooled off. Might not even got for the ONE X if thats having issues as well..
Same here.
Seems to very little interest in this phone at all, nearly every forum regarding just this mobile have hardly any posts............
Shame as it is a great mobile and easily one of the best today.
All HTC's efforts are going towards the X, the S has it's fair share of problems as well (thankfully I don't have them *touch wood*) e.g. wifi and signal issues yet no word at all by HTC on an update fixing this afaik.....
Guess I will be rooting and flashing a custom ROM sooner than I thought, even though I really wasn't wanting to do this for quite a while and let alone even thinking that I would have to do it this soon..........
If HTC don't bother with this mobile at all and only deliver like 1-3 minor updates and don't give us the next big latest android version i.e. jellybean, then they can forget any future purchases of their products by me.
Seriously I am pissed of at the lack of interest from the community. I thought this would be one of the best phones on the market if not the best and would be really popular. And it got sweet reviews from nearly every website
I am totally surprised by the lack of enthusiasm thus far. I don't understand why.

Because a lot of people go along with the logic that having a quad core in their phone means they have a very large penis.
Still early days yet, I'm sure the dev scene will pick up in the not too distant future. Or you could learn yourself and become a dev instead of moaning (justsayin)
Also, I think the S is far less buggy and problematic than the X, hence why its getting more attention, not forgetting it is also their flagship...
Personally I haven't had any of the problems mentioned, apart from the MAO issue, on the two devices I have had.

The signal issue is very strange, if I have internet and can teather my phone it will stay on most of the night surfing using my PC. As soon as I start to try and browse using the phone it cuts out.. The 3G and H indicators are constantly swapping.
I had an HTC Touch Diamond on O2 and that was the worst phone i've ever owned it even cost me a relationship due to it not hanging up when I told it to (thats another story). Was a little apprehensive on getting another HTC but I put my past experiences down to windows mobile. Now i'm not so sure. My girlfriend is always having problems with her HTC Sensation XE as well.

I'm 100% certain that you've had the radio bug at the very least. It affects every single One S out there. It's not a crapshoot -- YOU HAVE IT, 100% guaranteed.
Do me a favor and try to do some Speed Tests. Notice that right in the middle of the test, it suddenly stops, then switches back to 3g, and then back to 4g, and etiher fails the test or ends up with an abysmal speed?

Maybe I am effected in the sense, that I could get better speeds or a ping if they release a patch to fix/improve the signal?

Thanks for your constructive post. If you have no problems then you have nothing to ***** about. If you did would you just leave it?? Doubt it..
I had the Sensation the day it came out and the forums were incredibly slow and no one seemed to have bought the phone for a couple months. I then switched to the amaze and same thing. As we know now those phones have pretty good dev support and users. Things are always slow at the start takes a few months for people to see the phone around and want it. Trust me on this...this phone will not disappoint in the end.
yeah, ^^ hes right... But im so impatient lol (who here isnt?)
I want the best and i want it now lol
But this phone has just become available worlwide,, Most people are tied into contracts, They dont have £500 spare to buy it..
And lets face it, the Sensation, Amaze, GS2 aint that old, and most people probably took out a 2yr contract on them..
