Hi
If i flash my S3 device with a stock Samsung firmware, the flash counter will not increment.
The question i have is will this process void the warranty on my phone?
(i.e. if i flash a stock UK Samsung firmware to replace the stock Samsung HK firmware on my device )
I know that rooting will void the warranty. But what about my question above?
Thanks.

>>>Samsung UK will honor the warranty .Will Samsung HK honor warranty for a different country by all accounts no warranty is not transferable .

Hi guys
so i have purchased a galaxy s6 SM-G920F ( that's the international variant ) from netherlands
normally this variant is unlocked but for some reason the company that i got from ( TELE2 ) had it locked
so when i went back home ( Morocco ) i took it to some local shops that unlocks phones .
they contacted Samsung for an unlocking code Samsung send them the code but it failed . so they told me that some other company send them a code and that one worked the phone is working well no problems with it except that it is now rooted and i need to unroot it ( for the 2 years warranty i have ) , i have 2 minor issues
- when i try to access Private mode its says that its impossible to access it
- also when i tap on the ( more themes ) to donwload a theme , nothing happens
- when i tap the ( check updates ) it says that this operating system is not original or something like that
so i want to flash a stock firmware ( France one ) in order to unroot it
my questions are :
1/ if i flash this rom with odin would it brick it ? basically is it safe
2/ would it get re-locked, i can't take it again because i paid 60€ for that and waited a whole week
thank you in advance

Most of the times when we root, the warranty is void, so your warranty is most likely void. You can check if the warranty is void by entering into download mode and looking at where it says KNOX WARRANTY VOID, if it says 0x0 it's not void, else it's void.
The phone should not brick if you install a ROM using Odin, but there is always the possibility.
If you install a ROM via Odin, the phone will not lock again.

3 ways
1. Remove the hidden.img from the odin file. You can search in xda to do that.
2. Partition for Hidden.img is not compatible to your phone. Find compatible firmware for your phone.
3. Repartition your phone using Pit file. Download pit file that is compatible with the firmware. *if your brave enough* it sure needs knowledge of.what youre doing.
refer to this page.

i am using gs6 920i variants. its carrier locked i have not received update via ota. i am asking if its possible if i can download official 920i marshmallow firmware from sammobil and flash it. need your help...thanks
Yes, download (INU) it and load that PDA on your device but be sure that you are voiding your warranty (considering that yours is carrier locked). Make sure to also get the original firmware for your country and carrier to flash in, just in case you need it back
Hi,
I am from India and I wish to buy a brand new S8+. But the cost from Samsung India is quite high than the same from ebay which is $150 lesser than the Samsung India Price. So,I am now planning to buy the device from ebay (I know that it is a genuine Original Samsung device because of the seller). This device is imported from middle east (Unlocked). Now my question is that, Once i bought the device from ebay and flash the official S8+ ROM of India (via Sammobile using ODIN), will such activity trip my Knox counter or will treat this as an unauthorized ROM. I need to use Samsung Pay and Knox features and wanted to keep my device intact (un-rooted and official).
NOTE: Since, I did not bought the device from Samsung India, I may not get the warranty from them; I am ok with that. What I care more is that. will flashing the official ROM of a country (in this case India) into a foreign device (which is from Middle east, that is knox safe) will trip the knox and make unusable to use Samsung pay and other security features? Will I get OTA of India firmware whenever there is an update? Shall I go ahead with this purchase from ebay and flash India ROM from Sammobile?
Please clarify.
No. Knox will stay 0x0.
yes to all your questions
My S8+ got from UAE ( firmware changed to India) just got an update yesterday, pay works, knox not tripped.
Nah it wont trip knox. It will be same as indian unrooted device.
Hello everyone, I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 (G930F - Exynos - International).
I've rooted the phone, but fully unroot it back with a stock rom. So, knox has been tripped because of it. I don't really care about root anymore.
I was wondering if it's possible to flash a g930u firmware on it and be able to use Samsung Pay afterward.
G930U firmware is for the snapdragon US models, you'll brick your phone trying to put it on the G930F exynos. Totally different SoC.
What's your goal exactly? If it's better US carrier support you can try flashing the CSC utility but it needs TWRP https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development/utility-flashable-csc-selection-30-t3392949

so i can use samsung pay.
currently, samsung pay will not work on S7 international or exynos model.
So according to this https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/samsung-pay-knox-warranty-void-t3549449
CSC has to match your country, so you're likely going to need to flash that CSC utility to a US carrier. Since the G930F is the international version there's no stock US firmware for it, so custom zips are likely your only option.

You definitely should NOT try flashing a U firmware, because lots of things will go very badly. It's not even made for the same SoC as the F (international) version.
Tripping Knox has blown an e-fuse on your motherboard, so unless you replace it there is no way to restore it to 0x0.
And as for using Samsung Pay, that is not possible, because of Knox being tripped. Currently there isn't a workaround for that and so using Samsung Pay is not possible.
Hi all,
I bought a samsung S7 G930F (Checked with Phone INFO app) recently online which I regret.
My firmware's CSC Code is XFV (South Africa) and I have bloatware / bootscreen for Vodacom South Africa.
I live in New Zealand and was wondering if I could change the firmware to my country's firmware i.e. NZC or TNZ without rooting the phone and keeping original.
I have done some research and have read that I can use Odin software to change the firmware, but want to verify this with someone who knows what they are doing.
Thank you ,
Doi
yes you should be able to to it with odin.
and if you want to download the firmware without speed limit use program called samfirm https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647

You are installing it officially, so no warranty void, Knox 0x1 etc...
