So many ROMs to choose from... Which one to pick? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I'm looking for JB, performance, customization, long battery life.
Anyone have a suggesting which rom would be the best?
Currently using liquid smooth.

ParanoidAndroid
I have flashed ROMs every couple of days. While i loved each one of them, I kept looking for more. I stopped and settled with ParanoidAndroid. Its smooth, responsive, JB/CM10, amazing battery life (ofcourse it depends on the kind of usage you have). It has some minor nuances here n there, but i have been using it as my Daily Driver since i first installed it which was more than a month ago. I would highly recommend you give it a shot. You will love the phablet mode and the options to set the density for various applications.

I would def have to say Liquidsmooth RC5 with thr ktoonz kernel. The rom is incredibly fast even when undervolted and underclocked. Gets great battery life, I average about 3-4 hrs screen time with 15+ hours use. You can practically customize anything. You can change the colors of the status bar and location of the clock and customize the lock screen. You can also add on screen navigation buttons like the Galaxy Nexus. Great rom highly recommend it.

Been using eclipse Rom lately and it is superb

I have been using jelly bomb it's pics but stable with jb mods included

I like Paranoid Android as well but was having data drops and 3g/4g/WiFi switching issues so switched back to Beans B14 which has been my daily for months.
Do you know if the Paranoid Android data switching problems have been figured out?

I've been enjoying Synergy r73 for a while now. Great rom.

Using Incubus,s JellyWiz rsl10 hybrid
and has the norm issues as all the jb roms have. Nothing going to change until big red gets off their a**,s!
The devs perform magic considering no leaks and having to port the roms.
I really enjoy all the tweaks. on this rom. I loaded the new note2 gallery, which is very cool eye candy when viewing your pics. This rom runs cool, the first two days ran warm then settled in after all the updates. Had a few black screens, vibrated then rebooted 3 times within the first 3 hours of loading. No more reboots since a week ago.
So this Rom gets my vote, not a huge cm10 fan. So just depends on what you like. The cm are super lite around 150mb compared to 750mb on the wiz roms. I have 96gb so not much worried about space.
Suggest trying them all,
and join us crack rom flashers

LunarUI on Tsugi?

Hi all, I just flashed Tsugi. I really like the LunarUI theme, but it looks like its only for theme chooser, which I noticed is on CM7. Am I correct in my conclusion that there is no way I can use LunarUI on Tsugi? And that I can only use it on CM7?
You're screwed - Tsugi doesn't support theme Chooser - so as long as you're on that rom you're outta luck. Its way to Vanilla for my taste...its why I only run Eaglesblood or CM - I don't believe that Metamorph supports the LunarUI although I may be mistaken - its another reason why dumping the CM series of ROMs was a mistake! (You're also going to see that Tsugi is really bad on battery life...no matter what kernel you run!)

Yea I second that. I get close to 15 hours with a single charge and moderate use. Somebody is hating on greatness. I barely broke 8-9 hours on every other ROM.

Damn... after all this work to customize Tsugi, now I wonder if I should just flash CM7. It seems to have a lot of issues though.
Couldnt I just wipe everything but data and flash over it? Because I think they are both ext4...

Tsugi is only ext 4 if you use the custom kernal if I'm not mistaken. What problems are you having?

Im not having any problems with Tsugi, I just saw on the Cm7 thread that a lot of people seemed to be having plenty of random issues on their phones. I was just really interested in the themes that need cm7.
I get about 20 on CM7 #201 w/custom Trinity on stock battery and almost 30 on extended.
Its all a matter of UV/oc with a proper kernel.
Tsugi is a no-go for me BC of Vanilla AOSP feel - its not for power users...

Where can I get that theme for cm?

Tsugi works great for me to many reboots on cm based roms for my taste but it's all a matter of taste

[Q] how is my battery usage?

hey guys, first post here, got my g/f skyrocket as a christmas gift. been iphone owners for past couple of years. love the phone and and system but as usual battery drain is an issue. i installed nexusmod and stockish kernel and the batt improved but still it wasnt near where other guys were reporting. so i flashed with skyrocket kernel and also i flashed it with a script that limited the cpus to around 1gh.
i would post screen shots but im not allowed since its my first post.
well after a full day, i got
- 10h of total use
- 2hr of display time on
- 30m calls
wifi off
screen brightness - 10-30%
gps off
sync off
4 emails acc checking every 30mins
so how does this sound with the rom, kernel and script setup? no wakelocks or anything.
i thought i would get much better results with cpus underclocked.
thats in advance
I find it's really the display that destroys battery life. I hardly used my phone for one day and got 20hous and still had a few hours left but then today I unplugged at 7 am and by 8 pm I was down at 25% because I used it for about 2 hours on the train.

So i reflashed to stockish kernel and it seems better. Got almost 3 hours of display ontime and almost a day of total time all on 4g.

[Q] The usual "is this normal" questions [sorry]

1. I am new to sensation.
2. Device gets hot when used for a while. Normal?
3. Battery life - none! Worst from any of the devices I used (and I had them all)
4. Running Quatrro ICS ROM from Virtouos.

I have an extended 1900mAh battery and it still gets hot at times.
I see your screen takes up a lot and so does mine, but I get WAY longer than 4 hours even on regular battery. Maybe try changing ROM's to see if it makes a difference. Or check out this battery.
http://www.amazon.com/Anker-1900mAh...ZJMC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333056174&sr=8-1
Try installing a different rom & kernel. Then try setcpu or something similar that let's you control CPU clock speeds. Set up custom profiles for the CPU. Whenever mines starts to get hot it underclocks to a slower speed bringing the temp back down.

in sensation wid 10%voice 10% sms 20% wifi if u get 15-20 hours ur good
all the things u asked are normal device tends to get hotter wen used
and if u wanna try good roms if u want asop i Highly recommand Virtuos Inquestion 4.0.1
if u want Sense 4.0 Beta roms updated very fast so this is currently for Flasholics Than Insertcoin Beta 14
Stable Rom 3.6 Sense than Insertcoin 5.xx
Flash Bricked Kernel and if u recently flashed a New rom eg Coming from sense to non sense than Sensation takes upto 48hours for battery to settle down n give u good time so dont get fustrated in start
Hope i Helped
i have the best battery life with insert coin sense 4 beta + bricked kernel 0.5

Favorite ROM for Infuse?

Hey everyone... I'm sure this question has been asked 1,000 times but I was just wondering - in terms of best range / signal / stability - what is the current "best" ROM? I feel like it's a toss up between Aeon or Zeus (currently using Zeus) and I'm just wondering if I'm missing anything.
Thanks!
O I dont know.....
Plus look at all these themes, Mikig put together, and extras. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1656709

i ran the 07/22 build of cm 9 for months with no problems with signal or range. ive been running cm10 for like 3 days and just updated to the 08/11 build tonight and have had no problems with range or signal as of yet.
I ran stock UCLB3 for a long time, because a lot of custom roms aren't very stable. However I flashed to CM10 (the 8/11 version) yesterday and it's AMAZING! so fast and smooth. I did have bluetooth audio fail on me once but i just toggled it off and on again and it works fine now. Give it a try!

My favorite rom is whatever I am using at the moment. I used MIUI for several months and really liked it. Right now I am using:

I loved MIUI when I had the infuse it's fast and very customizable kept me entertained for a long time, endless themes and opportunity and super stable if you get 2.3 ^^
I liked Zeus too. very stable and battery saver I love anything by dman3285.
Oh look... THiS thread again. =P
CM10 is truly great.
Even better, though, is ParanoidAndroid.
It's basically CM10 with extra features. =D

I would speculate that around 75% of all Infuses are running the latest and greatest, while the others are either stock or a GB port of some sort.
I have 2 Infuses, both run JB but the old lady doesn't want me flashing over her current firmware, RemICS-JB (2/23). I showed her all the new features in the current build, yet she is steadfast and wants to keep it. She will update when one is available though... (hint hint)

I cant get my wife off GB (Emancipation), doesn't want to deal with having to turn bluetooth on and off as needed.
I can't wait to see what fruit Scotts kernel project bares (fingers crossed), hoping for a bluetooth drainage fix and phone ringtone through headphones. 720p would be cool but not a priority for me.
Needless to say I think the point of this thread is about 99% of us non-code magicians would be lost without Scotts hard work and dedication to the Infuse.
most, if not ALL 4.2.2 infuse4g roms are based on his unofficial cm 10.1. including all of my roms
