try this.
a piece of cardboard or a toothpick between your battery post.
as you can see on the picture.
perhaps there is not enough clearance between your battery and the connection points.

yes it works..

haha I mean too much space: P

will try it

tried the card method and my phone still shutdown. any other solutions??

I would take a good look here at the xda forum

Are you over or under clocked ? Sometimes if your under clocked if it's too much the device will shut down randomly. Is it possible that that's what is happening? If you Are under volted change CPU back and see if the reboots after that. Under bolting is another reason that the device would reboot if its not battery related. If your not undervalued do an experiment and try a different Rom and see if the device is still rebooting.

im on stock rom. just rooted only. flashed back to stock after theres problem with other roms as well

Mine has been doing this for about a week now. Something is draining the power from the battery and making it shut down. Flashed ARHD ROM again and still doing it. I'll try the firmware next. Where can I change the clock speed at.

You can get a app called set CPU in store and adjust settings that way if you like. Hope this helps.

Battery never stops showing a charge

I'm trying to calibrate after flashing a rom to get better battery life and I'm using Battery Calibration to do it. So far I've only flashed 4 roms since I first got my Sensation, ARHD 3.6, MIUI, ARHD 4.1.13, and now at my current rom, Virtuous Inquisition v3.5.1, which is amazing by the way, and my battery never stops showing a charge even after charging it all night. I was able to calibrate successfully after flashing ARHD 3.6, but not after 4.1. Is there a way to fix this? And if buying a new battery is they way to go, do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks!

Random shutdowns

So I've been running Elegancia Blitz 2.5.0 for almost a week. The first couple days, it was fantastic and I had no complaints. However, over the past two days, it's restarted at least 8 times and it's extremely frustrating. I thought it was overheating before but now it's just turning off even when it's not being used excessively. Is this a result of the new 3.33 firmware? Is there any way to solve this?

Alright, so I've been using the new Faux kernel for a few days, and I thought it was perfect until I got a random shutdown this morning . It also killed my battery from 96% to 16% although I've been using it ever since and the battery level has not dropped below 16% so I believe it's inaccurate. Hopefully this will be the last time.

you should try Bricked..i tried using sebastians but it wasn't the best experience, and faux didn't cut it either. lol
Bricked is a great kernel.are you sure your battery is not going bad? With a drain the size you had I would suspect that perhaps you need another battery ? If the stats keep draining quickly like that I'd look into perhaps buying another battery . I use a Anker long lasting battery and its been great . Sometimes when you keep getting a massive fast drain it is the battery causing it. Once you get your kernel squared away keep a eye on the battery for massive fast drain if it continues to do it, like 96% to 16% in an hour then I'd look into another battery also. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Try hypernonsense with faux kernel, looks like it'll fit your needs.. I get 4+ hours of screen time with them

Hi there what's really best is to try them for yourself and see what you like. For me, I like viper because my battery life is good and it has tons of customizations! I mean tons! You can change everything from boot image to CPU to tweaks its really a lot of fun! But that's my opnion, try out and see what you think! Best wishes! Hope this helps

That's strange. I'm using Pyromod CM9 and I don't have any problems with Facebook or Facebook Messenger. Give it a try, it's very fast

i would of liked to use gingerbread from CM but i cant find the download i know it seems weird because ICS is available but i prefer gingerbread is there a light weight rom i dont use the phone much as i said above but id like it to have decent battery Aker 1900mah battery on the way.
You can still get decent battery life out of ICS roms by using different kernels and certain CPU tweaks such as a slight under volt. Some kernels have battery saving script written in to help. Also some kernels have mods to either help over or under volt and some help save battery. Don't just limit yourself to GB.take a look At ics kernel options. The battery life is tied to kernels more so than roms , so if you get a good kernel for battery life you will see it makes a big difference. Also you can slightly undervolt . I do this myself. It does help.do these things and combine them with your extended battery and I think you will find your battery life is where you want it to be. I really hope this helps and I wish you the best. Also by the description of what your wanting I think you should try virtuous inquisition. It is sence less and offers supreme battery life. I really think that will meet your needs.
That was the first Rom I ever used and its extremely stable. It is ics but it fits the description of what your looking for perfectly. Give it a try I think you will be very happy with it.

Signal Problems

I have had signal problems with my 3g network lately, my signal displays 5 bars with an "R" above, and my network shows an "E" all the time.
Youtube seems to be slow, the browser is a little slow aswell - noone of this happens on wifi. I have checked the backcover and all the goldcontacts for problems, noone of them seems to be broken maybe a little worn though (the ones on the backcover).
I'm running the newest ViperS rom, could this be the problem? My browser and youtube is fine when I use WIFI, I can't open the Sim Toolkit app, I have no problems with network on my desire.
My calls are fine I can hear people and they can hear me. It only seems to be the network affected.
You can try and change your radio and ril and see if a different radio will help the signal. You will have to experiment a bit to see what's most effective. You can start with generic ics radios and rils. This might solve your issue

Well I flashed a ril and radio which didn't seem to fix the problem, then I flashed a CM10 rom which did fix the problem.. it seems like I am forced to turn my back on ViperS Damn this phone. I loved the rom though.
Thanks for your help though
Strange case.
Can not really believe that the rom is causing the problem...
In any case glad you got your issue fixed

Well I can't believe it either, but it have to be the rom, because I hadn't installed any apps that could have affected the connection, and I didn't have sync turned on and the connection have been fine before I flashed ViperS. I'm not s-off tho so it might be due to that..

If you're not s-off then you didn't flash a new radio like you think you did earlier. So that might still be a fix for you.
You can also try a full wipe and clean install of Viper and see if the problem replicates itself. It's not only possible, but very possible, that something got goofed up in your previous set up that hurt the signal strength. Starting over with a fresh flash of Viper could easily solve it. It' snot guarenteed, but it's very possible to work.

Well, I'm not S-OFF and I have decided not to do it so far. Viper worked fine with 3g at the start, but then it managed to screw up. I have decided to only run cm9/10 and aosp roms so far, I will most likely change to a sense rom later.

Elegancia rom keeps shutting my phone down. please help, i love the rom

Ok so I have a T-Mobile HTC sensation 4g and am running elegance Pegasus sense 3.6 the latest update of the 3.6 Rom. Randomly my phone just shuts off, not often but enough to miss some calls. What could be causing that? And does anyone else have that problem? I love the Rom. It runs smooth and has a great battery life. When I switched back to stock tmous Rom the random shut downs stopped. Maybe it's a kernel issue? Any suggestions on a kernel to use maybe with it. I tried faux already. Any suggestions or maybe a new Rom to use would be helpfull. I'm looking for speed, stability and excellent battery life.. thanks guys and gals.
What is your kernel?

I used to have random shutdowns on Sense 3.6, and over time I realised it was a issue with how sense was measuring battery life....
as in I would have my phone on 80% battery then it would reboot and show 50%......Then I switched to the Elegencia sense 4 rom and I haven't had that problem since...
but if you still want to use a Sense 3.6 rom, you should try charging your phone completely....then goto recovery and wipe battery stats and cache + dalvik...( if its a problem with battery calibration that should resolve it)
If you want to try another kernel you could go for Sultan....works quite well with the sensation
Wiping battery stats does nothing. At all.
It might be that the contacts on your battery are losing the connection to your phone. A piece of paper taped to the top of the battery might help.
