VRLG1 Audio Out Problem After Phone Call - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Noticing a weird problem and wondering if anyone has a solution. If I have headphones plugged into my GS3 and then receive a phone call the audio stops and I can take the call with the headphones plugged in. Here's the problem, after the phone call when I hang up the music never comes back on but I see that it is playing but just no sound. Only way to get the audio to come back on is to unplug the headphones and plug them back in and press play. If anyone has a solution I'd greatly appreciate it!

I hate that....

Sound issue

I can no longer hear any audio except through the ear piece when making calls. Have tried turn on/off and taking battery out. Any ideas?

so the phone speaker doesn't work either? how about headphones? We need a bit more detail to determine if it is a hardware or software issue.
I have found that the phone speaker works only during a call. But I have tried headphones and those don't work either. I can also sometimes hear my ringtone when I get a text. Also a freak thing happened, I had a song playing to see if the audio was working again for whatever reason and I got a text...instead of the ringtone playing it played the song for the duration of the ringtone.

Sounds and music silent after a call while connected to auxiliary cable

I have an auxilary cable I plug into my phone in my car. Ill be driving and listening to music, then get a call or make a call. After the call hangs up, the music will resume according to poweramp, but no sound plays through my car speakers, meaning any sound. The only way I can fix it is to unplug and replug the auxilary cable. Considering how dangerous that is while driving, anyone got any suggestions? This has been an issue since I got the phone July 12 with if I remeber correctly happened even before my device was rooted, and conitnues through multiple rom flashes and versions.
This issue pisses me off. I end up ****ing around with my phone fiddling around with it while I'm driving trying to get my ****ing tunes back. It doesnt do it all the time but its frustrating as **** when it does. I don't know what ends up fixing it. I think I end the program I'm using and restart it to get tunes back.

Im bumping this because it still happens to me no matter what rom I run. Wanted to know if this a common problem or if our units could be defective.

Earphone problems since ICS upgrade

I upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket to ICS 4.0.4, and since then have been having weird problems with my earphones.
Before, when I used any music player, the single button on the earphone wire would pause/play music, and would also answer/end any phone calls I would receive while listening to music. I can still hear music, but the button no longer works. The mic also no longer works.
When I make or receive phone calls with the earphones plugged in, I can no longer hear anything through the earphones unless I first unplug them from the phone, then plug them back in. When the phone call ends, I can't hear any music through the earphones unless I again unplug them, then plug them back into the phone. It's almost like the phone forgets to route sound back to the earphone jack whenever it switches between the phone and any multimedia source unless I unplug it first. It was working fine before the ICS upgrade. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I never ran into that problem, are you comfortable with flashing? If so I would recommend flashing CM9 or SkyICS, since i've used both of those and never had that problem arise(basically any other 4.0.4 custom rom in the dev section should be fine). If you need help with flashing just post back and i'll be happy to help.

I took the earphones to an AT&T store and tried them out on other phones, with the same result, so it appears that it is a hardware problem with the earphones that coincided with the upgrade to ICS that had me fooled . I appreciate your suggestion, though!

Headphones (Line Out) Interferes with Bluetooth Audio?

So here's a baffling issue. At first I thought this was a bug, but its actually a feature!
If you have a headset plugged into the phone and you receive a call on Bluetooth, the phone will give priority to the headphone audio instead of the Bluetooth. You must unplug the headphone jack in order to hear the caller.
I use Bluetooth for my hands-free calling when driving and a line out cable for my music. If I get a call I have to unplug and replug and restart my music manually. Kinda not hands free anymore.
I don't understand why the phone behaves this way. My Droid Incredible was perfect with this functionality and that's a two year old device.
Is anyone aware of a work around or solution to this issue? The expected behavior is to pause music when I get a call and have audio go through the Bluetooth instead of the headset, automatically resuming the music once I hang up. This is how it worked on my dinc at least.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!

I'm thinking about making a NFC tag to automate toggling music.. still a lowsy work around though. Can't wait for an AOSP daily driver.

Nexus 5 Audio Leak from Speaker with Headphones connected?

Hey guys, I know the title sounds weird but has anyone gotten the problem of Audio coming out of both headphones and speaker randomly while listen to music or watching a video?
I have a 32GB nexus 5 and I was watching a video and all of a sudden the volume went down and I could hear from my headphones and speaker as well. Just wondering if it's just my device or someone else is also having this problem.
If so, you think it's a software issue or hardware? Cause if it is, I'm gonna get it returned or exchanged asap.
Bump. Anyone has this problem?

I accidentally thanked you. Lmao. Anyways, make sure your headphones are pushed in all the way. They may be in only partially.

Lool. Thanks for the thanks.
Trust me I did that. When i watch YouTube sometimes and put it landscape the audio starts coming out from the speaker while headphones are plugged in. I reboot the phone then everything goes fine but sometimes it comes back again. This was the second time so I am worried whether it's a hardware issue of software. I feel it's software.

Just to echo: I had the same problem whilst listening on poweramp on my headphones, I declined a call by sending a text and all of a sudden I have audio coming out of headphones and speakers. Very embarassing on the tube!
I have restarted the phone and all seems to be good, but Google need to fix this.
I got the Mobile on the day before yesterday, and yesterday only I first connected the headphone, and I experienced similar issue. While playing music through PowerAmp, all of a sudden the volume on the headset gone low, and I heard its coming through speaker also. I pushed the jack all the way in, but the problem persist all the day long. when I put the jack in, it starts playing on the headphone only, and randomly it starts leaking. while playing through headphone whenever I press the power button, it starts leaking, whenever I go to the eq screen on the poweramp it starts leaking. along with that it starts leaking randomly. Today after seeing this post I rebooted and till then I have not experienced it again. Please let me know, did u RMA it? or the problem solved?
If anyone else has a opinion or a suggestion please respond.
On a side note, my speaker volume is terribly low, I didn't know there was a shutter sound exist, until I read from the forum today.
Bump
Sent from hell through N5. Oh, yes, it works here too

I have a similar problem with my nexus 7, after buying a new audio jack/ micro USB port assembly. About two days ago the audio just stopped coming out of my headphones and instead plays from the speakers and I have know idea whats going on, if it is the assembly then I've wasted $70.
Bump Galaxy Tab A SM-T550
Same here.. Android 4.4.2. with PowerAmp.
When I'm listening "poweramp" I put to charge the audio leaks from the speaker
Just had that happen on LineageOS 14.1 (based on Android 7.1.2) OnePlus 2
While watching a YouTube video.
After doing some tests I found that it was happening when a notification was received during playback. The notification sound was coming through the phone and after that the media sound was also coming from the phone.
