As I rooted my Nexus S when cm9 came out, I never used any GB roms or kernels, please advise me somw, because I just want to try! I'm looking for a great battery life, but of course great smoothness as well!
Thanks in advance

Another vote for Oxygen 2.3.2.
CyanogenMod 7.2 is not even stable.
My favorite is bugless beast from peter Alfonzo but not sure if he has one for the nexus s. I have a nexus s4g and it was awesome when I used it.

There is no "best" rom, but vhgomez's 1.2 for the NS4G is a very good one.
I use Peter Alfonso's 1/2/2011 nightly. Everything works, except for google wallet. I reaally like it, and it's very stable. I haven't had any reboots or force closes

I´m using AOSP+ with ICUP Speedy-3 Kernel too. Really stable, fast and best battery life.
The rom is updated nearly daily with good tweaks and lot of stuff to customize.
My 2 Cents...
Big Xie's build is golden, the difference between a ROM from an established, accomplished Developer & those from inexperienced builders are quite evident in this build. Everything works right out the box, clean build from source with Xie's overlay = performance & reliability that can't be attained from a patched together, hacked, drag N drop ROM.

Peteralphonso ics nightlies run pretty damn great. Never had a problem. Its pretty much stock ics which I prefer, not much of a fan of modded stuff.

I've run several ICS ROMs since getting my NS and I would definately concur that Codename is fantastic. They're on 1.4 now I believe.
I would definitely try Air Kernel by r_data as well. Its so smooth. Best I've tried yet.

Hello all. This is compiled from cm10 sources. I will be posting new builds as I feel. My captivate's micro usb port does not work and my battery charger stopped working. So I won't be working on this at all, just gonna be compiling straight from cyanogenmods sources. If I can get another captivate or another battery charger. I will be working on this more. But for now just nightllies.

Great. I know it would be much stable as soon as Nexus S OTA released tomorrow, and I hope you keep updating this thread. Thanks for supporting cappy community.

Hey, the new P.A.C Man ROM seems to be making rounds, but I cant seem to find it for the Nexus S. Has it been ported to the Nexus S ? Am I not looking hard enough ?
Google unfortunately doesnt help too much when I look for PACMAN and Roms ..... Atleast not the Roms im interested in anyways.
I would say if its not in the threads for the nexus yet than it most likely has not been ported yet

Yeah, I guess I'll just need to wait and keep a lookout on the sub-forums.
I've had nothing but simple problems like not being notified when my supervisor calls, I'm on cm10. I need this phone to be RELIABLE for a simple thing like receiving calls. The only reason I'm finding this out is cause I'm checking Google voice and I'm fortunate for that app. Do I need to unroot ? Can someone just name the most STABLE rom of them all ? Thanks guys.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda app-developers app
Most stable = stock ROM lol
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
Yeah - I'd say stock is your best bet for stability... maybe even roll back to 2.3?
Back in the day when I used to run Gingerbread, the rock-solid stability my daily usage required paired with fast performance was provided by Oxygen rom 2.3 (that is the version I used, 2.3 does NOT refer to gingerbread!) and Trinity Kernel either the undervolted underclocked version for better battery life or the 1.1 GHz overclocked version.
Nowadays, I am rolling with JellyBean rom Rasbeanjelly which unfortunately is not under development anymore and is difficult to get a hold of, but my kernel is Trinity (always!) ALPHA 12.
Try these and maybe you will find stability and performance like I did. Those findings are results of lengthy testing conducted by me with various setups.
Good luck!
Stock ROM it is ! Thanks guys would I need to unroot for this ? Or just find the stock ROM link somewhere here ?

BTW not receiving calls is most likely Google Voice. Happened to me in the past so I disabled it.
