cm10 nightlies - Captivate General

Hello all. This is compiled from cm10 sources. I will be posting new builds as I feel. My captivate's micro usb port does not work and my battery charger stopped working. So I won't be working on this at all, just gonna be compiling straight from cyanogenmods sources. If I can get another captivate or another battery charger. I will be working on this more. But for now just nightllies.

The date in the build is incorrect. It should be 20120718

Great. I know it would be much stable as soon as Nexus S OTA released tomorrow, and I hope you keep updating this thread. Thanks for supporting cappy community.

Has anybody flashed this? Could you post what does/doesn't work?

I am currently running unofficial cm10 v3 and I didn't know this existed. Does this have data/data partition and what kernel are you using?

Bluetooth not working on ASOP ROMs

I've found that with my device, I can't seem to get my bluetooth headset to work on ASOP ROMs. 2 in particular are CM7.2 stable and MoKee. It works fine with sense ROMs. Any ideas what the problem might be?

I was having issues with BT and AOSP ROMs too but found the latest CM7 nightly works! 07292010 Worth a shot.

I'm sorry for asking this but could you post a link to that build. For some reason I can't find it. Thanks in advance...
Edit: all I had to do to find it was to post this. *dough* I got it. Thanks.
Why Bluetooth doesn't work is because I replace all apks from the rom I'm porting and it doesn't work

Yea, I read that in a post you made on Paranoid before. The curious thing is that it has been every asop ROM. I've tried several with negative results. I've considered it could be my headset but if it were, wouldn't it be the same on both sense and asop?

So what you're saying is that every asop ROM has had the bluetooth removed? Even the nightly mentioned above and what I'm running now?

I finally found an asop ROM that works with my shift! Cyclonic. it's just weird that I've had trouble with this. No one else seems to.

Dread's Cyclonic is a BA Rom

Doesn't matter no one wants to see any of my roms no more. I'm old news but when dread releases something OH no. The world has been reborn.

Mega, Cyclonic has been out for a long time. My device just has some weird thing with the bluetooth on asop roms. It's been kind of frustraiting trying to find one I can use while on the job. Your work has been great too! I'm particularly fond of your Paranoid port.

Note: Any driver of a comercial vehicle caught even reaching for, let alone using a handset (cell phone) is subject to a $2,800.00 fine and the company they drive for is subject to an $11,000.00 fine. That's why I need working bluetooth.

When will we see 4.2 and who might working on a rom for it

Have you looked in the development threads? There are already a couple in the works.
Edit : check rootzwiki as well there's an official AOKP based off 4.2

The AOKP ROM on root wiki is a preview build that probably isn't daily driver material just yet. Here's a link to the thread: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/31679-official-aokp-d2vzw-421-preview-builds/

Well I wouldn't say everything. I still get random screen flickers that might freak out non geeks.
OP: From verizon? Who knows..the international version hasn't even gotten it. No phone has gotten it besides the Nexus.

In the development section, Liquid has 4.2 betas available and many people are already using them as their daily drivers.

I guess it depends on what your definition of "stock" is. If you prefer the so called "pure android experience" then I suggest trying CM10.

If want TouchWiz stock either Scott's Cleanrom or Beans totally stock deodexed. While waiting on Synergy I'm currently running Beans w/Kindacrap mods and Ziggy's latest kernel @1.72/384. Smooth stable and everything works. With all the inverted apps and Moto's International theme it looks good and Quads @ 6500.
Yeah I was liking for a pure experience like on my nexus 7.

[Q] Is gps as good with JB

I use GPS a lot and was wondering if it is just as reliable on the jb builds as the gb's. Anybody have an opinion on this. Thanks guy.
Ran fine on Scott's CM and currently on cyber ROM. Been using all weekend with no issues at all....

Thanks. I am thinking of trying some of the Jelly Bean roms. It looks like most of them are good enough to be my daily driver. I just wanted to make sure that the stuff I use regularly are not compromised too much. Again, thanks for the reply.
It locks almost instantly.
I love my infuse since the JB.

Anyone have a cm9 rom?

i never tried out cm9 and i was wondering does anyone have a cm9 rom i can download? I'm quite aware that it's no where near as fast as 4.2.2 roms but i used it alot in my inc2 days and wanna go back to it for a little bit

pretty certain cm9 never came to the S3. at least on this forum. there might be other builds elsewhere though.
I thought it did because I saw a thing on droid-life about it awhile back
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
Why do you want to try cm9. I used it on a nook tablet and droid incredible and hated it. Always seemed like a huge battery drain. I honestly don't remember seeing a cm9 build for the Verizon s3.

Uses the kexec method that we were using before the unlocked bootloader. Most peripherals probably do not work. Flash at your own risk.
