If you can not get into ap fastboot then I'm sorry to say there is no help. Do you get the moto splash screen?

I've got this AT&T Infuse from a friend of mine that's running Froyo [2.2.1], is THIS guide still applicable for the device? Or should I upgrade to Gingerbread first then use that guide?

Thanks! Worked like a charm! Now that it's got CWM, or at least supposed to, would it be wise to jump to one of the JB ROMs? Or should I go to an ICS based one first?
EDIT:
Actually, I just went to the Unofficial CM10. It got caught in a boot-loop, but I was able to just reboot and it went to CWM and is running JB. It does do this thing though, where (on boot) it appears to have corrupted video after the Samsung logo [only for a second, maybe less] and then it boots and functions normally.
Did you flash ics before flashing jb?
You can't jump directly from GB to JB.
Sent from my sweet & buttery Infuse
I did not. I jumped straight to Jelly Bean from Gingerbread. It appears to be functioning fine though.
As a side note: It is my friends phone so I don't have ready access to it 24/7.

Hey to fix the corrupt video effect you see you will have to flash the gb boot loaders since froyo doesn't support the new cwms

Questions belong in the Q&A Section.
The signature verification failed because SCV7 is based on our ICS leak. Which is TOTALLY different than the OTA update you recieved. There are currently no ROMs available for the firmware you are on.

You should be flashing SCV7 though bootmenu bootstrap. or other cwm based recovery... not stock

Possibly that rom is only for the leak ics not for the ota? And you dont use stock recovery you have to use bootmenu or safestrap to install.

If you're coming from the official OTA for ICS, and tried to flash SCv7 (which is based on our AT&T leak) you likely have soft bricked your device. You cannot flash an unofficial leak version of a ROM to an official ICS ROM, you should have thought this through a little better. I'm sorry to say, but you're probably S.O.L. (Google that, if needed)...

Dont ever try to fxz from ota ics to gb..you'll hard brick
Sent from my MB865 using xda app-developers app
No you cannot fxz back from the official ota. You're bricked mate, sorry dude, send in for a replacement.
While you're at it read the sticky in the general section about why we all recommend to NOT to OTA to ICS.
There have been many warnings about this for over month.
Best of luck to you.

Atrix 2 brick
I've bricked my atrix 2 and reinstalled the original rom with an application from Motorola that let me force the original back on my device. But I did not have ics. So I'll look up the application and the original rom. Later tonight or tomorrow.
You can FXZ from ICS to GB

Was running the acehackkit and after it finished now nothing works, I can get into hboot but that seems to be about it.
Can't get into recovery or just booting the phone up.
Any Ideas or steps I should take to fixing it?

Yep, I am back. Ubuntu is slow for a bit, and the dev phone trade is all worked out now, so... I am back.
I am working on a fresh kexec kernel from scratch, for the a2, based on the moto released code.

By flashing 2.3.5 firmware on top of 4.0.4, you have most likely hard bricked your device and it will be near impossible to fix. Moto made certain that there is no downgrading..

Great to hear - we could use the help..
So, you pulled it from sourceforge? Is that the kernel source for Asia retail ICS, right?

Yes it is from sourceforge, but there is an mb865 version out there too. The mb version is labeled incorrectly. It is the SEARET mb865 version of the kernel. All that needs to be paid attention to is the WiFi, video, and GPS kernel modules &/ drivers.
Now, it is not ATT based, but that should not be an issue.
You are Super hard bricked
