Hey I flashed the new Unofficial ICS Rom and also the new radio. I just wanted to try it out and went back to elite 6.4. Do the radios stay on the phone regardless of flashing another rom?

Open the .zip of the ROM you are flashing. If you see a radio.img file inside, it will flash a new radio. If not, it will keep your current radio.
If it has one and you want to get rid of it, just remove it from the .zip.
But if I want replace replace the one I have

Download the radio you like, boot into the bootloader and use "fastboot flash radio radio.img".
Hi guys,
So I unlocked my boot loader and using twrp installed cm10. To boot it I had to flash boot.IMG from the zip file and everything works fine
Now I wanna revert to the stock ROM. I made a backup of it using twrp. So when I wipe off the cm10 rom using twrp n restore my stock backed up ROM, my phone doesn't boot. Just a blank screen.
Anything I need to do different?

You have to flash the boot.img from the sence rom
Thanks a lot for ur help. I don't know where to get the boot.IMG of the sense ROM. Any directions as to where can I find it?

Extract it from the nandroid backup
These r the files in the twrp folder for my Stock ROM. Can't see a boot.IMG
Sent from my One X using xda app-developers app
sorry maybe twrp doesn't backup boot.img
You can download a 2.20 ruu and try an extract boot.img from there.
boot.emmc.win is the boot.img, not sure how TWRP handles backing up of boot when on the higher hboot though.

The very 1st file "boot.emmc.win" that's the boot.img
So just flash that through fastboot and it should work
You can change the name of the file to boot.img if you want
And if we want to revert to an RUU, we just lock the bootloader and run the exe
Or do we need to flash the stock recovery first?
Cheers
Yes, lock bootloader flash ruu.

Have you taken the stock JB update?
That upgrades something making non sense roms fail I think.
Not too sure exactly, but have read this somewhere and I'm in same position after taking JB 4.1 OTA before finding xda goodness.

Even if you've taken the 4.1 ota it will boot just no working touchscreen. Op is doing something wrong. Verify that you have a onexl and are flashing a ROM for the one xl then make sure to wipe cache, dalvik, system and do a factory reset in twrp. If you wipe system and are flashing a ROM for the wrong phone you will brick so make sure you have the right ROM and phone combo. After flashing the ROM boot to fastboot and fastboot flash your boot.IMG. if you do all that your ROM will boot.

Wait so you flash a ROM first , then flash the boot.img ?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Doesnt matter if you flash it before or after ...are you full wiping? Data system caches. .. and you're flashing thorugh Fastboot right Sith Fastboot flash boot boot.img ?
Yes. Well mostly to flash the flash boot img . I was using the flash image gui app , or the flash boot .img batchfile created here on xda. They both have worked in the past .

Similar problem
I've been having a similar problem but maybe even worse. After rooting my phone via onexroot.com tutorial I havent been able to install any custom roms. It says that the MD5 file is not found and "completes" the installation very quickly. I have tried the viper rom but i have tried the CM10 and AOKP JB. I have flashed boot.img via fastboot every time to no avail. Help please.I have ATT One X 2.20 hboot 1.14 twrp 2.4.1.0. Thanks.

I know this may sound silly but are you leaving the boot image in the zip file that you are placing in recovery? Extract the boot image from the zip but leave it in the zip file you are placing in twrp.

Yep, I just extract and copy the boot image over to user/downloads/onexrootattnew folder. Im starting to think that I did something wrong when rootin. I followed a tutorial online step by step and have twrp working and have superuser access. I'm not sure what else I'm doing wrong.

Place boot image on phone but not in any folder so that GUI can see it not in one x root. Place full zip file in downloads folder on phone storage. Use GUI to flash image. After flashing it will go into recovery. Use TWRP to install zip. Make sure you wipe system, cache and davlik cache before installing zip.
Hope this helps.

Sorry I'm still learning: what do u mean by use GUI to flash image. I've been fastbooting it via cmd on windows.
It's an application you can install on your phone that does the flashboot part for you. Search for " fash image gui apk " on here .

So I downloaded the flash GUI program and followed the steps via the video (thanks for that, very helpful) but after flashing the kernel (boot IMG) and hitting the recovery reboot option it didn't reboot, it didn't do anything. So I did a manual reboot into recovery and installed the zips and rebooted. I got to the Rom initiating page (this one had a unicorn) and it didn't go any further. The only other info I could offer is that I went the lazy way and emailed the boot image to myself on my comp and downloaded to my phone via the email. Not sure if that makes a difference. Any more ideas, I'm gonna try the ice cold jelly Rom and the viper xl later today.
So I just tried the viper 3.2 Rom and although it seemed to get a little further in the process, result is the same: stuck on viper logo. Only ice cold jelly left. When transferring zip files over to phone do o have to mount via twrp or can I just mount as disk drive via stock rom? At this point, unrooting and waiting for att's official JB update may be my only option. Thanks in advance for any help.
Just picked up a used inspire to replace my old xperia x10. I'm not new to rooting or flashing ROMs. I began rooting it using the easy tool posted on here; I've unlocked the bootloader and installed touch CWM, but I can't get the SU package to install. CWM doesn't see the zip, or any for that matter. I've tried reformatting (through CWM, and the phone) but no difference. Even changed the package to update.zip thinking that would get me by, but no dice. Suggestions?

A little update; tried running RUU again, but now it's saying my ROM version isn't supported? Yet when I check the HBOOT version, it's 0.85.0024 and says my BL is unlocked. RUU says I have image 2.47 and the update is 2.52; yet if I let it run through the easy ace tool, it says it's 2.52 (but the easy ace tool sees 2.47). Is this my problem?

Unlocked bootloader does not allow to flash a RUU. Renaming the SU package to update.zip will not help. Or your sdcard is borked or the file is not there...when you say that is not seeing it, what does that mean?
When I select choose a zip or apply update.zip through cwm, it says no files found

I had see same problem but fixed that by replacing the touch version with the non-touch version. But now after flashing cm10.1 I'm stuck at the white HTC screen lol.

But also in case you run into the same problem with the HTC boot screen just flash the boot.img of your rom via fastboot and that will also fix that.

I'll look into that; I mainly want root to debloat this phone. Way too much unnecessary crap on here!

Hi! I have an unlocked AT&T (EVITA) HTC One X, it´s S-OFF, bootloader unlocked, rooted, superCID and it has the Sense 5 ROM from T-Mobile (I don´t know if the following changes something: I rooted the phone and removed with Titanium Backup T-Mobile's bloatware). I guess that as I flashed T-Mobile RUU following the forum guide, I must have stock recovery? I received today a 15MB OTA update, is it safe to install? Thanks!
No, you don't usually install any OTA updates on a modified device. Which RUU have you installed? What's the exact filename?

I am in the same situation, but I have CWM Recovery (modified).
How can I find the file name without downloading the update?
In any case, I used titanium backup to freezes the updater and the message from HTC no longer shows up.

You definitely can't install an OTA if you have a custom recovery installed. Don't you still have the RUU on your PC from when you ran it?

Do you have Windows set to hide the file extensions (.exe, .zip, etc.)? If so, you need to turn that off.
Tell us what kind of files those are.
My assumption is that you don't have stock recovery installed, and the rule of thumb is that you don't take OTA updates on a modified device. I don't see the point in this one anyway, the file size would indicate that it's only an update to the T-Mobile bloat apps
