Hey I flashed the new Unofficial ICS Rom and also the new radio. I just wanted to try it out and went back to elite 6.4. Do the radios stay on the phone regardless of flashing another rom?

Open the .zip of the ROM you are flashing. If you see a radio.img file inside, it will flash a new radio. If not, it will keep your current radio.
If it has one and you want to get rid of it, just remove it from the .zip.
But if I want replace replace the one I have

Download the radio you like, boot into the bootloader and use "fastboot flash radio radio.img".

every time i try installing the new radio through recovery it reads "installation aborted" this also happened when i was trying to instal so other mods
You need to install the radio in hboot

Reboot into the bootloader not recovery. Remember that white screen with colorful text on it when you were rooting it? You want that.
do i have to reroot once i flashed new radio??
No you will not need to reroot

i reinstalled rom manger and it says i need to root my phone
You sure you flashed the right thing? You shouldn't have lost root.
Sounds like you flashed the whole ruu not just the radio...
If you only flashed the radio you wouldn't have lost root... Be sure to read the thread thoroughly before you flash... The one with the ruu states clearly that if you flash it you will lose root. If you launched hboot and flashed a different p05img.zip
Than the 25mb radio you probably flashed the wrong thing.

Is there a way to download leedroid tweaks on its own ?
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
Leedroid has v6.4 on the one S? or the one X?
V2.1 for the One S
Are there any direct links for the one s latest version only tweaks
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
I dont think the tweaks will work on a stock ROM, They require the modded framework.
;( leedroid always messes up when I try download it to my phone

I am stuck in a boot loop too. Driving me nuts I have been using custom roms for ever.

Both of you just post on how you flash the rom. There has to be something easy that is overlooked. Cause i have flashed the rom 4 times with no problems

Did you flash the rom in cwm after the first time you flashed the boot.img? If not then that is probably your issue.
For me I flashed boot flash rom in cwm and for good measure flashed the boot again.
I am going to try a new download of the rom I think that could be my issue.
Right ill basically start from as if i was to flash the rom from if i has a stock phone
1.Make sure phone is rooted and unlocked by Htc dev
2.Have a custom recovery flashed
3.Download the v2.0 and v2.1 of the rom and also the boot.img
4.Place v2.0 and v2.1 files into a folder on your sd card.
5.Now make a nandroid backup of your current rom you are using before you flash LeeDroids rom
6.Extract the boot.img so that you can run the command to flash the .img to your phone
7.Boot phone into bootloader then fastboot, connect phone to pc and it should say fastboot usb.
8.Run the boot.img file to which ever OS you are using (meaning windows, mac etc.)
9.Get back into the bootloader screen and get into recovery.
10. Format system, data and cache also wipe dalvik cache as well. It should be wiped by formatting system and data but only takes 2seconds to do it anyway. You will find it under advanced menu(In Clockworkmod)
11. Find the .zip of leedroids v2.0 and flash it
12.Reboot phone and finish the setup menu and just let the phone settle for a minute or two after you finished it
13. Boot phone into bootloader and then fastboot. Run the boot.img again just to be sure.
14.Boot into recovery and flash v2.1 and then reboot and enjoy.
Now set phone up the way you want
This is the method i have used seems long but only takes 10minutes once you have all the files. I have done this 4 times using this method
I will try this method later so what's the v6.4?

Question about restoring stock via ZIP vs RUU. I noticed that certain imgs are skipped if the same version is already present if flashing via ZIP. Does the RUU flash everything regardless of the version detected?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
I am not the most tech savy person but I've managed to successfully flash a couple ROMs on the One s. So when I heard of flash image GUI, I figured that it would the make the whole process much simpler. My question is to those who have used this app. How reliable is this app?
*I wouldn't mind flashing the boot.img manually but I figured this would make things easier.

May I borrow your thread a bit as this was exactly what I was just about to ask ?
Also, could someone confirm that flash image gui flashing boot.imgs work ok with 2.15 hboot?
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
I've been using this app for some time and it NEVER put me down. I used it for flashing boot.img when changing between ICS SENCE, JB SENCE or any of the AOSP, CM roms. I just browse for Rom.zip I want to flash, select, it will extract boo.img, select flash, wait, select reboot recovery, flash Rom. Always works.
Oh and I'm on hboot 2.15.

Thanks! Will use it next time I flash a rom
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
Top app and never failed me when I needed to use it.
i use it all the time and i flash new roms as they come out (2-6 a month) and the good thing about flash image gui is that it flashes the wifi stuff also so if your on hboot higher than 1.09 this is a must.
I have a HTC Inspire 4G, I got the bootloader unlocked and had it rooted. I had CWM Recovery on it that was like version 5.8 the one before that. I tried flashing a jellybean firmware, the phone never went by past the HTC white screen. I tried updating the recovery and it still didn't work. Right now my phone can only boot into hboot and that's still unlocked, but fastboot commands won't work, I can only flash new recoveries, but no ROMs actually get flashed. I tried using the PDimg thing for HBOOT to get back into full stock, I followed all the rules about going to ext3 (can't remember off the top of my head). It won't see the image, I've tried everything out there. ADB won't see the device unless in recovery mode, fastboot won't work, except to flash new recoveries.
Any possible ideas?
After flashing a ROM you need to fastboot flash thr ROM zip's boot.img.
Even if it doesn't boot into the ROM? It should work?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
No. I missed that. Can you fastboot flash a recovery? If not, you can try running a RUU.
Yeah I am able to flash a recovery via fast boot, but to actually do any other commands via fast boot it won't recognize anything. HBOOT won't see any .zips, tried everything.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I don't understand. Where are these zips? Computer or phone?
Phone. The .zips are like the pd98img things. Those don't read on my phone from HBOOT
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Wait, if you have a working recovery, just flash a ROM (not PD98IMG) zip from the recovery (not fastboot). Download a custom ROM, full wipe in recovery, and flash in recovery.
Tried that. It seriously just sits there till the battery dies trying to turn on, doesn't pass the HTC white screen.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
And then extract the boot.img from the ROM zip and fastboot flash boot boot.img.
I love you haha
