Does anyone know how to Change the Messages Background to a custom picture on Samsung Galaxy S3?
I read the other day that there is a custom rom which has this feature

This is a feature on touchwiz jb. So I'd loom to the jellywiz rom for that feature

Is there a way to get notification bar toggles on any android phone like the Galaxy S phones have?
The MIUI ROM has this feature. Youtube MIUI to see it in action.
If I'm not mistaken, this feature is coming soon to CM as well.

Hm, already have an iPhone 4, dont want an iphone style rom. I'll look into the CM rom.
Looks like they will be available in 6.1.
Looks awesome:

This is a bit of a bump... but better than starting a new thread I guess.
This is of course in CM7, but I find battery life from the MoDaCo ROM much better on my Nexus S, but I really miss these toggles.
Anyone found an apk to do it yet?
Hey
Is it possible that someone please could port the latest touchwiz rom to our nexus s? Before the excuse was that the galaxy s was running android 2,2 but now that it has been updated to 2,3 it could maybe be possible and in a devs interest? Thanks a lot. And before someone tells me to port it my self, i will like to say that i have tried.

We might as well just put all our energy's into the TW4.0 rom dropping with the Samsung Galaxy S Two
Now that will be worth it
JD
you didnt have to start another thread about this. there was another thread of this.
and no one said the excuse was TW being on 2.2, the excuse is: "if you want a TouchWiz phone then get Galaxy S2."
other than that. CM7 pretty much has all the features TW has to offer with the exception of video codecs

Well as long nothing is happening, there is nothing wrong with keep on asking for it. And i think that there is a huge difference between tw and cm. Its not just the features i want, its more the UI.

then get a iphone lol.. there's no motivation for people to port TouchWiz framework to NS.
if the UI is what you want look for a themed launcher that looks like iOS
Hey everyone ive tried tons of different roms, and then I hit miui, this was a brilliant mod for me and i loved the ability to theme my messages app, but the rest of miui i just dont like. So now im looking for roms that have a modified messages.apk of some sort, preferably ics. Also if anyone knows any touchwiz style roms i would love it because i previously had a galaxy and im quite used to it.
U can use any rom and just try oyt the GO Sms + swiftkey and you'll get a really nice combo for sms. (u can tweak whatever u want and how u want - if u get the pro version, get's even beter)
if i helped you somehow hit thanks button pls.
Sended using my nexus s on apex+matr1x
i hate go sms with a passion, i dislike any messages app, and grudgingly im currently using chomp sms.. not enjoying it i must say. I just need a rom that has custom chat bubbles in the messages, doesnt seem like much to ask for. My Galaxy Ace had chat bubbles and it was only $150! seems like the higher end nexus s should have at least that feature.

Is there a set of google apps to download that will match the samsung calandar.. etc... I'm loving the paranoid android rom but am misssing all the motion controls etc? Is this going to be an infinite issue or is there a workaround anyone knows? Main question is if there is a set of samsung set gapps that I can download? I know this belongs else where but I cannot post there. Thank you.

Thanks for the help.. I don't really care about the touch wiz screen as much as I do the samsung caladar that's really the main thing... I like the calandar and some of the samsung apps better... The one thing that is the biggest killer for me, is the motion controls and tones.. sure tones could be moved over.. but the motion controls may be tough.. once I have enough posts I think maybe i'll talk to the DEVS about possibly porting over a gs3 specific (keeping motion controls and sounds) rom... Not sure if they'd like that though considering they are with a broader audience..
It wont be possible since Touchwiz is a different framework, it might be possible once TouchWiz gets 4.1.1
Go back to stock

Any ROM will not have the TouchWiz features. If you cannot do without them, then you should go back to stock. As for your calendar, you should consider using Google Calendar, that way if you switch away from Samsung but stay with Android you won't have any issue with your calendar. There are also a ton of apps to make the Google Calendar better.
I'm looking for a jb tw rom with stock asop browser email
any information will be great thanks
Did you try the only jb tw Rom?

There are two currently.. Jellywiz and taste of beans. I can't comment for Jellywiz but TOB has the tw mms. I'm not sure if it's the tw or aosp brand wser as I don't use either

I love Jellywiz... it doesn't have all of the apps (i.e. Visual Voicemail, My Verizon & Verizon Login). I love it ... it is responsive and love the detachable video.

Has anyone found a JB ROM with Visual Voicemail (VVM)? I've tried several, and several add-ons for NFL, etc. But I've not found a working Visual Voicemail.
Thx.

Can't you just install the APK (from TitaniumBackup or something)? Or does it not work?
Just coming from a EVO 3D and I regularly would restore the Sprint VVM apk when loading ROM's with it removed. It would not work with AOSP though (if I remember correctly).
I have tried pushing it manually, installing it, using the flash able zip that neverendingsix posted in the LiquidSmooth thread that had the Verizon SSO key and a couple of other things in it and then installing and or pushing but nothing I have been able to do will get it working. I have seen the people say use Google voice, or whatever its called, but I really prefer the VZW visual voicemail app. So I guess I'm in the same boat with everyone else running a JB ROM...... we get no visual voicemail love

I have working verizon apps on jelly bean and asop. A little bit later tonight or tomorrow I will make a file for you guys to download as well as an old Verizon visual voicemail app that works with all jelly bean ROMs
