Thank you! Going to try this as soon as i get to my a210.

.... Placeholder ....

And you can just press the 3 point?, Only root, the kernel does not need to unlock me ....

Probably not. It dumps a CWR image to /dev (overwriting the factory recovery?), which is boot, so you have to be unlocked.
CWR is used to mount /system (rw) so that adb can push Superuser and some other binaries.
I got stuck, after loading up CWR. My Windows 7 (x64) couldn't recognize my A210 while CWR was running. Downloaded USB drivers through the Android SDK, and the Acer USB drivers, but neither of them did any good i continued with the rooting process (so that it could clean up after itself) but nothing got pushed to /system (which is no surprise, seeing my tablet was unrecognized). So, now i have an unlocked bootloader, no root, and i'm unable to get into recovery... nothing happens, if i hold volume down, while powering on. I have to press the reset button, to restart it properly.
Could it be that there are no drivers for Windows 7 x64?
Edit: ok, i've read through the topic at android-hilfe.de, and got it working (had to manually install the driver). Now i have root! Thank you!

What exactly is your question?
I don't know if it will work with 4.1.1, because I do not have 4,1.1 on my tablet! You have?

I get everything back to its factory state, or even be the standard kernel?

Hy everybody
I tried to root my A210 yesterday using your program. But I point out some difference between what happen and the "how to".
First, I didn't have 4 option when I start the tool. I just have the bootloader option and a root option.
Following the "how to", I first activated the open mode to boot. Then, I choose the second choice (root) and that's when it didn't follow the "how to" document. My A210 did restart and boot to a*SCHLEXEDEELER edition but it never ask me to restore my data. And when it get restarted, everything was as it were.I also didn't have all the part about installing the driver because my PC still detect the tab as "adb interface".
I aldo never had the section about mount and unmount system.
Then the*SCHLEXEDEELER tool ask me if I wanted to install the custom recovery. As I was pretty scared of what might happened, I answered "no". So the tool ended.
I cheched on my tab but I was still not root so I did all that stuff again but choose "yes" instead of "no" for the custom recovery. The*SCHLEXEDEELER tool printed out many lines but one caught my attention.
It was something like :"data\tmp\cwm[...].img : no such file or dir".there is a file called "cwm[...].img" (the [...] is because I don't recall the exact name) in the folder in wich there is the*SCHLEXEDEELER tool.
But I didn't suceed in making it finding this file.
And when I checked whether I'm root or not, it turns out that I wasn't.
Any ideas or suggestion?
Still, thanks a lot for your job.

FIRST OF ALL you don't read the thread correctly:
The "How to" of Heroturtle is NOT for V2.0 Final Edition!! Do not use that "how to" !!
So here is what the tool do if you select root:
Start your device into bootloader (fastboot mode)
Flash boot.img to your device via fastboot
Pushing binary files like su and busybox to your tablet
READY!
It's important that you have install all drivers correctly!
The 4 points are from the Versions before and are not necessary anymore now.
If you have done the root process, you must install SuperUser from the PlayStore! After that you have root!
Use only schlexedeeler Tool V2... You are confusing something and write about things that no longer exist in the new version!!! No restore my data. etc...

ROOT-A51x.zip (679.1 KB) or http://www.multiupload.nl/8QVEMO3P0R
** Install instructions **
1. First install CWM Recovery (or any other you can find for your device)
2. Upload ROOT-A51x.zip to your external sdcard
3. Run the following command to enter recovery (or power off your device, press Volume- and then Poweron your device):
Code:
adb reboot recovery
4. In the recovery select "install zip from sdcard"
5. Then select "choose zip from sdcard"
6. Choose your "ROOT-A51x.zip" file
7. Choose yes - install ROOT-A51x.zip
8. Wait till the script is ready and reboot your device
If something fails, you can run "adb shell" from the recovery and use "cat /tmp/recovery.log" to provide the output of the scripts.
Enjoy & good luck
Regards,
Nika.
Here's some instructions how to unlock boot loader:
Code:
adb reboot-bootloader
** wait for it to load
fastboot oem unlock
** press Volume- (two dots button) and then Volume+ (one dot button) to unlock
fastboot reboot-bootloader
** you're in the unlocked bootloader :)

Hi,
I also got an A511. Root is also not working for me
My build number is Acer_AV041_A511_1.028.00_EMEA_DE
I really hope someone will get root working on the A511
Its just annoying that root is still difficult like that.
There are so many things like lbe or pdroid (on other devices) that i never want to miss again on every Android Device.
ACER_AV041_A511_1.028.00_EMEA_DE , @ Kernel 2.6.39.4+
Well... While building a new recovery I killed my recovery and cannot install update.zip's anymore... luckily no brick, but does make it harder to test stuff.
Therefore I cannot test attached root script. It's based on someone else's script to unlock the bootloader first, and then install an update.zip that contains all root files.
Anyone care to test it? It cannot brick your device or kill your recovery, so don't worry. It will probably not work, but doesn't hurt to test it
Furthermore. If there's still someone with a rooted A510, can you dd your recovery and upload it? I can try the stock recovery of A510 to see whether it works on A511
I can think of two commands that may work for exporting recovery on an A510:
Try this:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/platform/sdhci-tegra.3/by-name/SOS of=/mnt/sdcard/recovery.img
Or try this:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1 of=/mnt/sdcard/recovery.img
Or possibly even this:
Code:
dd if=/recovery of=/mnt/sdcard/recovery.img
Regards,
If one of them is successful it will export the recovery to your internal sd...
Nika.
Well, turns out my recovery is not corrupted. Tried installing the 1.011 ROM and it worked without a problem (although I wanted to wait till root would be available so I could do a full backup)... so I guess that root zip provided in the previous post still has some error in it...sorry, will continue investigation, somehow, sometime, somewhere we'll find a way
Would be nice.
Atm im not rly use my Tab, too many Spy Aps around that are confirmed via pdroid.
lbe first for me
Well... my tab is now rooted!! See first post (OP) for the root script & instructions how to do it...
Good luck!
Regards,
Nika.
Sounds nice.
But im waiting if its really secure, that tablet was too expensive to brick

It's never safe if you want safe - don't root, that's what it's for
And yes, first install cwm recovery, then install root-zip from this thread through cwm-recovery.

Hi nikagl,
thanks, i got root on my brand new, long time awaited A511.
For the bootloader-recovery i had to use the vol button with the two dots (it´s the vol down (-) button in my A511) no matter what direction the turn-look switch had.
Right now did the needed Stock (rooted su 3.1) Backup successfully with the CWM touch.
Really Great Job!
hey guys, i rooted my a511 too thx nikagl
but i did it a lil bit diffrent from your manual
Ah great to hear.
I think that i got issues then with my VB.
So i have to get a real windows pc for flashing recovery, it looks like.

[GUIDE] Lenovo P700 Root

IMPORTANT Info (read this before proceeding any further):
- Please back-up your system folder using any file manager (ES or file manager) before doing root. specifically the busybox file.
- Also, do a back-up of all your messages, contacts, call logs and apps using the Backup and restore application.
- Rooting your device will VOID its warranty.
- Download and use these files at your own risk. I will not be held responsible for any damages or failures that might happen to your PC or device.
What you need:
1. S2-4.0-root folder containing the root.exe. Download link* (Download this file and extract to your local drive. In my case I placed it on my drive D :\). By the way, This file was sourced from the MU forum.
2. USB Drivers (with ADB driver) here: Driver link.
3. ADB installed on your machine – see below.
*password <here>
ADB (Android Debug Bridge):
Information here: http://developer.android.com/tools/help/adb.html
1. Make sure that you can connect to your device via ADB before you continue rooting your beloved P700.

Root Proper:
Once you have verified that you can connect to your device using ADB, then follow the steps detailed below.
1. Connect your P700 (powered ON) to your PC using the supplied USB cable.
2. Open command prompt and type “ADB devices”. This should show a set of numbers corresponding to your device (see screenshot on top). If not check ADB topic above.
3. Browse to the location where you placed the S2-4.0 folder. Open it and run P700_ROOTv1.0.exe (WARNING: this action would immediately reboot your device) and follow the instruction on screen.
4. Wait until your device is ready.
5. Hit Enter and your device will reboot again. Follow the on screen instruction and wait until your device is ready.
6. Hit Enter when your device has completely restarted.
7. Now you will be prompted with the following line: uid=0 <root> gid=0<root> (follow the instructions next to it). In my case - id is 0. If not, try again and repeat the procedure as mentioned in the instructions.
8. Hit Enter again and your device will reboot for a third time and you will see the following lines: Remount succeeded….....
9. Once your device is completely restarted, hit Enter and the windowed root dialog will automatically close.
Your device should now be rooted.
Screenshot of sequence above:
How to check if you are rooted
1. Use ADB shell and check that you can run su.
2. Use Root checker (download from Google play store).
3. Use ES file explorer or any file manager to enable Root explorer and mount the system folder. If you don’t have any issue with these steps then your device is already rooted.
ADB shell (rooted)
NOTES:
- The following files will be pushed to your system (Superuser, su , MobileUncle toolbox and RE Chinese).
- Root explorer (Chinese) will be installed on your device. You can opt to remove this app using Titanium backup.
- This process was tested on the current ROW(Rest of the World) build (P700_ROW_S108_120614), so I am not sure if this will work on other available builds out there.
- If you see or experience any issues, you can always do a factory Data reset (root will be preserved).
IMPORTANT Info (again):
- Please back-up your system folder using any file manager (ES or file manager) before doing root. specifically the busybox file.
- Also, do a back-up of all your messages, contacts, call logs and apps using the Backup and restore application.
- Rooting your device will VOID its warranty.
- Download and use these files at your own risk. I will not be held responsible for any damages or failures that might happen to your PC or device.

Does anyone know why this phone s not recognized in most parts of the world? I thought XDA dev would have it but even they don't list it in the phones section.!!

Hi Epsilonthegreat.
Maybe you can assist me:
I have taken the P700_ROW_S113, cooked in some modifications (most importantly I replaced the kernel) flashed it on my Lenovo A750
It looks like it is working well. Which I expected, as the P700 is just the A750 with a different screen, but the screen is in the kernel. Just like the P700i seems to be the A789 with a different screen.
I did so in the hope of getting the ROW "Rest Of World" languages. However, it seems to only contain Vietnamese in addition to English and Chinese.
Do you know if this is normal for the ROW's? Or did I download one that has already been tweaked, not the original?
Thanks

Hello cybermaus,
Unfortunately the P700 ROW version only have English, Vietnamese and Chinese on it. Maybe due to the reason that P700 ROW was only officially marketed on these areas.
Below is the Language screen shot on my unit.
Regards.
Yes, that is what i have. Thanks.
Its a pity, I had hoped to get a multilang version
But still the exercise was very useful. I now have a ROM as stable as the cleaned up A750, but even more cleaned up and better internationalized.
Anyway, a return gesture to the P700 community: I have written a small review of the Lenovo Security app, which you guys may want to put on your phones, as it works very well on it.
It worked! thanks man!

Most motorola gingerbread phones got rooted this way.

I hope you´ve runned SUTLR successfully otherwise it wont work.
Run SuperOneClick as administrator (right-click on SuperOneClick.exe -> run as administrator).
Before clicking on "root" in SOC set the Exploit (top right corner) to "ZergRush".
Be aware you´ve reconnected your phone after activing "USB-Debugging".
Normaly it should work if you keep the steps in mind.
Report if you were successfull

Then try it with this:
1. Download this pack here.
This is a update.zip to gain root via CWM.
2. Copy the files to your sd-card
3. Run Temp-CWM (HowTo discribed here)
4. Choose "Flash .zip from sdcard" and select the .zip you´ve downloaded in step 1.
5. Reboot
6. Run root checker (playstore) or something else to test

Anyone?
@Pyntux
Poz sugradjanine
I haven't bought the phone yet but I did some research and found 2 methods but none on english :S
Hungarian - http://data.hu/get/6493358/Alcetel_OT_6030D_Root_HowTo.pdf
German - http://www.android-hilfe.de/5684068-post10.html
I tryed to translate the German text via Google, here it goes...
-Download first the files
CWM Recovery 6030D
Cwm Recovery 6.0.2.8 Neu!! Optional
MTK Droid & Tools 2.44 (without warez)
TWRP Recovery 2.4.4.0
VCOM Drivers
SpFlashtool
************************************************** ************************************************** *
MobileUncle Tools
Mobile Uncle Tools 2.8.0
-So you can very easy to flash the patched recovery
Here we go:
-Idol connected on the PC (USB debug mode must be active) and install drivers if needed
-(Must be quick startup disabled) SPFlash run tools, Scatter file and then load cwm recovery to download press idol off
-Idol on the Pc connected (the drivers are installed automatically)
-The SPflashTools will now flash the Cwm recovery. If a green circle appears everything went well.
-Unplug the cable, run MTKDroidTools.
-Switch on with Power & Volume + and simultaneously connect the smartphone to the PC
-Once this is recognized (as comic characters will appear, but everything is ok), go to "root, backup, recovery and super user click on it that can be installed.
-The display during the root process remains dark all the time with me. So do not panic
-Unplug the cable, wait a minute and long press on the power button until the logo appears idol
-I had to update suspersu (after first boot) ... but is normal.
-You can also make a backup, although that will not be complete. Important is the boot.img and recovery.img are here.
-caution: After a reboot the CWM recovery is overwritten by the stock recovery. Personally, I would leave it there so far is no 100% functional recovery
The idol is now rooted
The CWM and TWRP recovery is not 100% functional. The Custpack partitions get no support.
edit
With Mtk Droid Root Tools & backup works fine)
Hope I helped Cant wait to get the phone, just 20 days to go...
What are your impressions about the phone?
Edit: Forgot to say, this is for 6030D but it will maybe work on the other two models... Hopefully
Have you tryed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2160490

Please check the scatter file maybe it's incorrect. Try re-creating it once again. The Cusotm Recovery has to be smaller or equal than the recovery partition size in the scatter file.
Finallx got the phone! It's so cool! Love the slim box and it's sooo fast! Anyway, i read something about the phone losing the DRM licence after root. Now, what does this DRM licence do and can we use this phone normally without it? As much as i got it, this has something to do with the licences for the apps...
Sent from my ALCATEL ONE TOUCH 6030X using xda premium
After losing DRM, you can lose GSM signal all the way, I do not want to play with it...
@H377
Are we losing DRM after rooting?
Is that tutorial for 6030X also?
Does stock recovery owerwrite custom cwm (which we need to install) after rooting/rebooting?
Hi,
I still can use all the features on the phone after root, so I'm not quite sure if we loose anything. Still can play videos, MP3s, so all the apps work. Haven't noticed anything yet.
I think you can root the 6030X also with this procedure just be sure that you use your own scatter file extracted from your own phone. Then you cannot really mess anything up.
If you flash the stock recovery to the phone after rooting it will definitely overwrite the custom one. So normally it doesn't overwrite it automatically only if you manually flash it.

So I need to download stock recovery with flash tool, to flash after rooting?
Also, cwm recovery in tutorial is good, no need to mod any other recovery, just to use scatter which I made with MTK?

It depends on:
If you have rooted the phone you can leave the custom CWM on it no need to reflash the stock recovery. But if you want to you can flash the stock back. It's all up to you.
I'm asking because I do not need cwm for now, just need root and everything else to be stock... Thanks, I will try this method...

Installing twrp and rooting the sm-t116 (tab 3 lite 7.0 3g)

IM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK YOUR TAB OR DECIDE TO BE CARELESS OR CREATE A CYCLONE... you know the drill.
HOW TO ROOT SM-T116 TAB 3 LITE 7.0 3G VOYAGE-XX ( Galaxy Tab 3 Lite VE (3G) (SM-T116 ))
After searching for over a month on how to root/install twrp all i cound find were instructions for the SM-T110/1...
if thread already exists pls notify
N.B I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR THIS RECOVERY IN ANYWAY
I am writting to help fellow SM-T116 owners... Since ive been searching for a long time.... I believe there isnt a guide to root this Tab yet.
- N.B MAKE SURE you device's code name is goyave or goyave3g
1. Download the twrp recovery here
- download the recovery in .tar format...
- you will upgrade to v3 manually.
2. Download Odin v3.10.* here
-> copy them to a place you know on ur pc such as Desktop
3. Boot your Tab 3 lite to download mode by: pressing "power + home + vol down"
-> believing all your drivers are installed correctly
3.1 open Odin*.exe ,
3.2 connect your tab and press volume up...
-> at this stage Odin should recognise your device
on the ID:COM section like
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
4. UNTICK AUTO REBOOT or you wont be able to enter recovery
5. Tap pn AP and go to the recovery you downloaded.
select it
6. Press on Start to begin the flashing process
-> After Odin flashes the recovery it will tell you PASS!
7
7.1. Preas and hold POWER + VOLUME DOWN
7.2. when the screen goes black change and hold HOME + VOLUME UP
Now you will enter TWRP... stage 1 done.
rooting on post #2:good:
Now TWRP is functional... Time to root.
1. Download Chainfire's SuperSu flashable zip here
-> and thanking is not a crime.
2. Reboot to recovery...
ALLOW TWRP TO MODIFY THE SYSTEM PARTITION
3.1. Select install
3.2. navigate to your supersu zip
/sdcard/* or /extsdcard/*
-> when you are at the folder where your zip is it will be on the dialog on the right.
4.1. select it
4.2. swipe to confirm
4.3. select wipe cache/dalvik and reboot...
Now you have a Custom Recovery and you are rooted... Doors open.
Becarefull to not to open the wrong doors

I have this tab as above, it is locked(programmed) using an administrative app named Cellwe EMM. Basically i cannot download anything on this tab with neither usb nor sdcard including the internet. All i have to do to get rid of this security is wipe using custom recovery. When i get the tab in download mode it has this MDM DOWNLOAD BLOCK which block me from flashing and installing custom recovery in this tab. My only hope is if i can create an update.zip for twrp or cwm to be installed in this tab using stock recovery. This is where i need help, can someone create this for me or help me with a guide to do this
