Poz sugradjanine
I haven't bought the phone yet but I did some research and found 2 methods but none on english :S
Hungarian - http://data.hu/get/6493358/Alcetel_OT_6030D_Root_HowTo.pdf
German - http://www.android-hilfe.de/5684068-post10.html
I tryed to translate the German text via Google, here it goes...
-Download first the files
CWM Recovery 6030D
Cwm Recovery 6.0.2.8 Neu!! Optional
MTK Droid & Tools 2.44 (without warez)
TWRP Recovery 2.4.4.0
VCOM Drivers
SpFlashtool
************************************************** ************************************************** *
MobileUncle Tools
Mobile Uncle Tools 2.8.0
-So you can very easy to flash the patched recovery
Here we go:
-Idol connected on the PC (USB debug mode must be active) and install drivers if needed
-(Must be quick startup disabled) SPFlash run tools, Scatter file and then load cwm recovery to download press idol off
-Idol on the Pc connected (the drivers are installed automatically)
-The SPflashTools will now flash the Cwm recovery. If a green circle appears everything went well.
-Unplug the cable, run MTKDroidTools.
-Switch on with Power & Volume + and simultaneously connect the smartphone to the PC
-Once this is recognized (as comic characters will appear, but everything is ok), go to "root, backup, recovery and super user click on it that can be installed.
-The display during the root process remains dark all the time with me. So do not panic
-Unplug the cable, wait a minute and long press on the power button until the logo appears idol
-I had to update suspersu (after first boot) ... but is normal.
-You can also make a backup, although that will not be complete. Important is the boot.img and recovery.img are here.
-caution: After a reboot the CWM recovery is overwritten by the stock recovery. Personally, I would leave it there so far is no 100% functional recovery
The idol is now rooted
The CWM and TWRP recovery is not 100% functional. The Custpack partitions get no support.
edit
With Mtk Droid Root Tools & backup works fine)
Hope I helped Cant wait to get the phone, just 20 days to go...
What are your impressions about the phone?
Edit: Forgot to say, this is for 6030D but it will maybe work on the other two models... Hopefully
Have you tryed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2160490

Please check the scatter file maybe it's incorrect. Try re-creating it once again. The Cusotm Recovery has to be smaller or equal than the recovery partition size in the scatter file.
Finallx got the phone! It's so cool! Love the slim box and it's sooo fast! Anyway, i read something about the phone losing the DRM licence after root. Now, what does this DRM licence do and can we use this phone normally without it? As much as i got it, this has something to do with the licences for the apps...
Sent from my ALCATEL ONE TOUCH 6030X using xda premium
After losing DRM, you can lose GSM signal all the way, I do not want to play with it...
@H377
Are we losing DRM after rooting?
Is that tutorial for 6030X also?
Does stock recovery owerwrite custom cwm (which we need to install) after rooting/rebooting?
Hi,
I still can use all the features on the phone after root, so I'm not quite sure if we loose anything. Still can play videos, MP3s, so all the apps work. Haven't noticed anything yet.
I think you can root the 6030X also with this procedure just be sure that you use your own scatter file extracted from your own phone. Then you cannot really mess anything up.
If you flash the stock recovery to the phone after rooting it will definitely overwrite the custom one. So normally it doesn't overwrite it automatically only if you manually flash it.

So I need to download stock recovery with flash tool, to flash after rooting?
Also, cwm recovery in tutorial is good, no need to mod any other recovery, just to use scatter which I made with MTK?

It depends on:
If you have rooted the phone you can leave the custom CWM on it no need to reflash the stock recovery. But if you want to you can flash the stock back. It's all up to you.
I'm asking because I do not need cwm for now, just need root and everything else to be stock... Thanks, I will try this method...

Hello everybody,
This is just a small guide I made for rooting ALCATEL OT-918 (Maybe also 918D or M) devices on which SuperOneClick fails. Most of the files are not by me so all credit goes to the original author...
Tutorial:
01) Unzip usb_driver.zip and install the drivers. (phone shall not be off an plugged in, thx dbask)
02) Copy the file Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip to the root of your SD card.
03) Make sure your battery is fully charged and turn off your phone.
04) Head to the directory SP_Flash_Tool_v2.1134.00 and start FlashTool.exe.
05) Make sure the menu Options->USB Mode is checked.
06) Use attached scatter file creator to make scatter. (or use Android_2.3.6_MT6573_Android_scatter_918.txt)
Warnings/Errors like this can be safely ignored:
Code:
[Warning Hint] Get BMT block count fail, default BMT block count is used!
Code:
[Hint] Bootloader files are lost when automatically loading by scatter file.
Code:
Please make sure you want to go through anyway.
Code:
DSP_BL is unchecked, which may result in a boot failure
07) Check the entry with name "RECOVERY" and double click it.
08) Select the recovery.img file and again make sure ONLY one entry is checked.
09) Click the Download button and plugin your phone with the USB cable.
* Wait some time (untill the recovery file is loaded to your phone) *
10) Unplug your phone and press the volume up and power button at once
11) Select "Flash Zip from SDCard" and choose the Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip
12) Confirm the update and reboot your phone. Everything should be done, phone is rooted!
Actual tutorial made by others. I only try to make it a bit more clear.

Just to make this thread a little development related: I coded a tool that should be able to automatically create scatter files for your (ALCATEL) device. It is only tested on my own device but it should work for other (ALCATEL) devices too (Sources can be posted if needed).

Is there something that I should do before of after the restore?
I have tried with wiping the cache/data/dalvik cache before restore & after .
I give it alot of time but it doesn't seem to boot.
Is it possible that you give me the data and cache files too.Please......that is if it is possible..

But said those images were for Alcatel OT-918?Please confirm that?
I thought those were images before you used your phone...it is okay.
And do you have any working custom rom for 2.3.6? Most of the available are for 2.3.5.
Though my problem is not solved...I have learn alot and that is exactly what I wanted when I joined xda.
Thanks to all.:good:
They are captured while rooting my phone, so yes. And I do not have a custom rom, I think you need to wait for one to be created.

Same problem was with me too. But my phone was in warranty so I got it to service center and now it will be replaced with a new one. Hey XDA Guys is there anyway we can prevent this thing? Even I did wipe all data and the phone just booted till screen where Android image comes and then restart.

Thank you! Going to try this as soon as i get to my a210.
.... Placeholder ....
And you can just press the 3 point?, Only root, the kernel does not need to unlock me ....
Probably not. It dumps a CWR image to /dev (overwriting the factory recovery?), which is boot, so you have to be unlocked.
CWR is used to mount /system (rw) so that adb can push Superuser and some other binaries.
I got stuck, after loading up CWR. My Windows 7 (x64) couldn't recognize my A210 while CWR was running. Downloaded USB drivers through the Android SDK, and the Acer USB drivers, but neither of them did any good i continued with the rooting process (so that it could clean up after itself) but nothing got pushed to /system (which is no surprise, seeing my tablet was unrecognized). So, now i have an unlocked bootloader, no root, and i'm unable to get into recovery... nothing happens, if i hold volume down, while powering on. I have to press the reset button, to restart it properly.
Could it be that there are no drivers for Windows 7 x64?
Edit: ok, i've read through the topic at android-hilfe.de, and got it working (had to manually install the driver). Now i have root! Thank you!

Hy everybody
I tried to root my A210 yesterday using your program. But I point out some difference between what happen and the "how to".
First, I didn't have 4 option when I start the tool. I just have the bootloader option and a root option.
Following the "how to", I first activated the open mode to boot. Then, I choose the second choice (root) and that's when it didn't follow the "how to" document. My A210 did restart and boot to a*SCHLEXEDEELER edition but it never ask me to restore my data. And when it get restarted, everything was as it were.I also didn't have all the part about installing the driver because my PC still detect the tab as "adb interface".
I aldo never had the section about mount and unmount system.
Then the*SCHLEXEDEELER tool ask me if I wanted to install the custom recovery. As I was pretty scared of what might happened, I answered "no". So the tool ended.
I cheched on my tab but I was still not root so I did all that stuff again but choose "yes" instead of "no" for the custom recovery. The*SCHLEXEDEELER tool printed out many lines but one caught my attention.
It was something like :"data\tmp\cwm[...].img : no such file or dir".there is a file called "cwm[...].img" (the [...] is because I don't recall the exact name) in the folder in wich there is the*SCHLEXEDEELER tool.
But I didn't suceed in making it finding this file.
And when I checked whether I'm root or not, it turns out that I wasn't.
Any ideas or suggestion?
Still, thanks a lot for your job.

FIRST OF ALL you don't read the thread correctly:
The "How to" of Heroturtle is NOT for V2.0 Final Edition!! Do not use that "how to" !!
So here is what the tool do if you select root:
Start your device into bootloader (fastboot mode)
Flash boot.img to your device via fastboot
Pushing binary files like su and busybox to your tablet
READY!
It's important that you have install all drivers correctly!
The 4 points are from the Versions before and are not necessary anymore now.
If you have done the root process, you must install SuperUser from the PlayStore! After that you have root!
Use only schlexedeeler Tool V2... You are confusing something and write about things that no longer exist in the new version!!! No restore my data. etc...

If you are unsure about buying this handset, here is a Detailed Review of Karbonn A12+. I have covered almost everything in the review, if you want to know anything else about the phone, do let me know.

Rooting:
Thanks to rohitm1991, we now know of a easy root method for Karbonn A12+.
Download SRSRoot One Click for your Windows PC.
Install Drivers for your phone using pdanet or Universal ADB Drivers.
Connect your phone using usb cable.
Click Smart Root in SRSRoot application on your pc.
A Prompt on your phone will ask you to install an app. Confirm.
When first two exploit fail, third exploit will launch, click Boromir on your phone and you will get a congratulation mesaage.
Reboot your phone.
If it doesn't work in first try, try again, worked for me with the exact same steps being repeated in the second try.
This video will help you in rooting:
And this one in unrooting:
Clockworkmod Recovery:
I have successfully ported Clockworkmod Recovery for our Karbonn A12+ with the help of MTK Droid Tools. I have created a special zip file to help you through the process. The files in the zip are pretty self explanatory but if you need detailed instructions, refer this guide.
Stock ROM
Thanks to chukzde, here is the cwm flashable zip of the stock rom.
I have took a full backup of the stock rom through:
SP Flash Tool, MTK Droid Tool and CWM as well. Shall upload when I have free internet to waste. Others are requested to upload one if they are blessed with a good internet connection.
Here is MT6572 Scatter file for you to use while flashing any stuff using SP Flash Tool.
Please note that old versions of SP Flash Tool will throw an error like failed to initialize on this scatter file. This file works fine with the latest version of SP Flash Tool (latest according to what I could find on the internet).
Sound Mod:
Rooted A12+ (and other device) users can use Viper Sound Mod to improve the sound quality of the phone speaker or any headset you use with it. I have shared my experience of the Viper Sound Mod on the Karbonn A12+ here.
Key Combinations:
Press and hold Volume Down + Power Button to get into Factory Mode. Selecting the only option with some english in it will factory reset your Karbonn A12+
Press and hold Volume Up + Power Button to get to a menu. In this menu, use Volume Up to scroll and Volume Down to select. From this menu, you can go to Fastboot Mode, Recovery Mode or boot normally.

Modified Stock Launcher for Karbonn A12+
- Persistent Search bar matched to look as Jellybean style
- KitKat style Folder previews/background and App Drawer icon
Steps to Install:
Before proceeding, just to be on safer side download any other Launcher from the Play Store and use that Launcher while performing the below steps.
- Download the modified Launcher2.apk
- Using any root file explorer of your choice (I personally use ES File Explorer) copy it into /system/app
- Set permissions as -rw-r--r--
Note: Don't touch the Launcher2.odex file.

How to change Setting After Rooting
I want to Know is it possible to change the Android Phone Setting like Karbonn A12+.
If yes how ?
I want to Add / change Setting to add RINGTONE Selection Option for TWO SIMs in the Phone.
As the Phone does not have ringtone selection Option for the two Sims. like in Karbonn A15.
Is it possible to have such.
I got this phone couple of days back. Is it having a 2MP camera on the back. In settings picture size shows max only 2MP. no options beyond that. Can you please confirm the back camera is 5mp or 2mp ?
Nice thread. now if someone can port MIUI on this then that would be a killer combination.
even i could give it a try, is there a guide for MTK devices?
CWM recovery
karbonn a12+ got root but after flashing cwm from mobile uncle tool it get into old recovery only ............help
A12+ stuck at boot
i have A12+ and have rooted it successfully:laugh: but then in hurry i have installed chainfire downloaded long ago which is not compatible with jellybean 4.2.2 and i am stuck in boot screen (the eye) , i have already tried wiping data and cache from recovery and i have not installed cwm i have stock recovery. i could have uninstalled it via adb but 4.2.2 have sideload only hence adb commands are not working adb shell returns error : closed error. now the only option i have is to flash stock rom which i have not backed up so it would be very kind of you to upload it .or i have also read that it could be achieved by installing TWRP recovery and then renaming some files and changing some values from this linkhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2560607 , who had similar case like me .so if anyone could provide me the stock rom and preloader drivers it would be very helpful my mobile is just a week old :crying:

I have clockworkmod backup of stock Rom, about 940 mb in size but I don't have a decent enough internet connection to upload it.
can I boot into recovery mode if my a12+ got bricked..
(stucked at boot image or eye)
@suthar98.sunil, unless an Android device is hard bricked, you can boot into recovery mode. But unless you have flashed a custom recovery like clockworkmod (link in first post) or twrp and a device backup to restore, it won't be of much use.
Scrolling interrupted at borders
Whenever i'm scrolling down in any app, no matter how slowly, it goes smoothy but is always interrupted at the borders, like in calendar, at the border between two months,in play store home page, after each app tile; or in es file explorer, after each folder while in list view, the scrolling movement bumps a little at the borders and then continues again. It happens in every app but is more visible in these. can the framework files be modified in any way to solve this issue, as I've already tried the smooth scroll tweak in the framework file and am also sure the device does not lag.
Do any of you guys out there experience this issue too?
Please provide karbonn a12+ stock rom. Please
Thanks
i flashed cwm recovery, means i can boot into recovery mode if my a12+ is hard bricked or soft bricked?

Bilingual CWM
thank you bilal for posting this procedure.
But it seems that in the link provided for "Bilingual CWM" , you linked another "360 root" .
I have the 4.3 with v 1.0.0B15 build version.
I will try your procedure when you provide the "Bilingual CWM".
Thank you for your help !

5kkkkk I need the google apps because I am spanish and I need the play store of google. When I read your message, I tried flash one custom rom from needrom.com (miui v7, and before it worked ok), but i have a very big problem since I uploaded to B16 stock rom; if I use other rom diferent of stock B16, the touchscreen does not work... I dont know why!!, but this is true... and only one when I come back to stock B16 rom.. then the touchscreen works again :S.
I have everything (root, recovery CWM english) ready for flash, if you can upload one custom rom with google apps for zte s291 please.. i am desesperated (my mother languague is spanish, and i know a bit of english for to write this, so...).
Maybe if that custom rom with google apps is based about B16, my touchscreen could works. These custom rom are in zte forums, but all are written in chinnese... and for me this is imposible.
How to download bilingual CWM from the first post?

Thanks for info, now I can download it too (don't know why i couldn't download yesterday)
Now I have problem with touch not working (after I tried this method of root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2762565)
Any ideas how to restore touch?
EDIT:
To restore touch function, you have to replace corrupted boot.img using ADB (my software version is B11, i used boot.img from B17)
If you want to root, it's better to use english CWM (which includes root) than using methods posted on XDA
i need this version urgent ZTE_Grand_S_II_LTEV1.0.0.B16
but touch stops working after needrom flashfile

Apply boot.img from B17 through adb and touch control will work fine (I had this problem after I've installed root)
Probably this is B17 software, but I don't remember (anyway - I've used boot.img from this rom to restore my touch control):
http://devicedownload.zte.com.cn/cn/UpLoadFiles/product/1102/soft/2015121010292565.zip
OR - maybe the best option:
Install CM12.1 (by alexeei) to fix problems with touch control:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=64532271#post64532271
CM12.1 in my opinion is best rom for this phone so far (best performance, battery life, no freezes)
i have used this firmware
http://www.needrom.com/download/zte-grand-s-ii-lte/
how do i goto adb mode or fastboot .. ? before i used adb reboot-bootloader .. now i don't have access to adb
i have a factory reset on phone ..
i don't have CWM or twrp .. i have stock recovery
how do i flash boot.img ???

i am receiving 2 KB download speed .. wtf ?
i need recovery ZTE GRAND S2 S221 if someone have this phone,
Well, I just purchased this device and came here after that to look at what we had and I'm disgusted.
And there are several reasons for that, being:
1 - Locked Bootloader...
2 - This forum seems somewhat abandoned, which leads it to be somewhat disorganized.
EdiT:
Thanks to our friend repey6 > http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=5704037
TWRP 2.8.7.0 is now included, and it works just ok, with all functionality.
I strongly recommend you to use it instead of any other recovery. Just make sure to backup your ROM again after installing it, as CWM or Carliv backups won't work in TWRP.
I replaced the old TWRP included in the attachments with the new one provided by repey6, but the installation process remains the same.
Plus, this was not created by me and it's mad old (2014). But still it works better than the Carliv Recovery we have available here...
So Let's go. The proccess is the same for both, just choose the recovery image you want in the end of the topic.
(almost forgot to say that if your phone bricks it's you responsibility, I tested it in mine and it is working fine)
STEPS:
STEP1- Root your phone (if it's not rooted yet).
To root your phone you'll need to:
a-Download the framaroot APK provided in the attachments
b-Install it then click in the Boromir option and the su binary will be installed.
c-Download SuperSU from google play store.
That's all, simple like that.
STEP2- Check your bootloader's S1 Version
a-Open your dialer and input *#*#7378423#*#* , then go to Service Info>Software Info> S1 Boot Version.
b- Check if yours is 2.14.J.2.6 or 2.14.J.2.13 or 2.14.J.2.16 . If yours is one of these go ahead, it should work just fine and you can proceed.
If yours is 2.14.J.0.68 do not proceed, as it will 100% brick your phone.
c- My phone has S1 Boot Version 2.14.J.1.15 and in spite of the developer having not mentioned anything about it, I risked it all and my phone flashed the recovery normally, so if your version is also 2.14.J.1.15, it should work just fine and you can proceed.
STEP3 - Install the recovery
NOW, BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL HERE, OTHERWISE YOU WILL HARD BRICK YOUR PHONE:
a-Download the mobileuncle.apk file provided in the attachments and install it.
b-Download the twrp_xperia_C.img file provided below and put it in your internal memory (not on the external). Rename it to recovery.img, otherwise mobile uncle won't see it.
Now, here's the part you have to mind, so you won't brick your phone.
Mobile uncle can install a recovery using one of two methods. One is by installing the image from your internal memory (which we'll be doing). Other is installing it from the internet.
Now, YOU DON'T WANT to install a recovery from the internet, as mobile uncle doesn't provide any image for your device. So if you flash any of these recoveries, you'll never be able to make your phone boot again.
See in the image below and you'll get what I mean:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
c - So, before proceeding TURN OFF YOUR WIFI AND DATA CONNECTIONS so that mobile uncle won't show any recovery from internet
d-Open mobile uncle.
e-Grant Super User
f-Press "Recovery Update"
g- With wifi turned off, you'll see only your recovery in the screen
h- Click it, the file size of the file I'm posting must be around 6MB ( 6210KB for CWM), if it's different cancel and download file again.
i- press ok and restart.
DONE
:good:
EDIT:
I just noticed that after flashing the recovery you might get your phone stuck in the SONY logo after it.
In fact it happened to me, but just once.
If that happens don't panick. Recove the cover of your phone and besides the SIM-2 slot you'll see a tiny role with the word "reset". Insert a needle in there and your phone will restart normally.

It should work in both, I'm using a recovery for C2305 in my C2304.
Just don't try flashing a C2305 ROM on your C2304. It will not hardbrick your phonw, but the SIM cards will not work and you will get a mad functioning phones.
Some custom ROM's based on stock firmware work in both though.
Hey anyone tried for xc 2305???
So my S1 bootloader version is: 2.14.J.0.68. Is it for sure there is nothing that can be done?

Sorry for the late reply! Haven't been able to test this until recently due to an issue getting my PC to work properly with my phone. Anyway, I would like to confirm that I was able to flash this on my Xperia C2305 that had S1 Boot Version 2.14.J.0.68. The photo below is proof of CWM running on my Xperia C2305:
Things you will need:
WMShua SuperFlash: http://soft.flushrom.com/WMShuaSetup.exe (after installing, you can change the language to English by renaming Program Files/wmshua/language to Program Files/wmshua/language_x)
Xperia C 16.0.B.2.16 FTF: C2305_16.0.B.2.16_TacoNikky.ftf or C2305_16.0.B.2.16_Congngheviet.ftf (pick one; I used TacoNikky's version)
Procedure:
1. Open WMShua, then click on Flash (not Super Flash). Browse to the FTF file you downloaded. You can choose to backup system before flash (I unchecked it on mine). Follow the screenshot below for guidance:
2. Turn off your phone. Next, hold down the Vol- (volume down) button on your phone. While holding down, plug in the micro USB cable. The LED will flash red. When it changes to green, release the Vol- button. WMShua should automatically try to install the needed drivers. After installing drivers, it will begin the flashing process. If your phone turns on instead, simply unplug it from the USB, turn it off, then try again.
The flash process may take a long time (it took 30+ minutes for me), and sometimes it may look like it hanged, but it's actually working. Just be patient. Once it reaches 100%, your phone will automatically boot up. Check your S1 Boot Version—it should now be 2.14.J.2.16. You may find that you've lost root, so you will need to root it again (I use KingoRoot). After rooting, follow the instructions on the first post to install CWM or TWRP. Good luck!
