[Q] Cheap Bluetooth Keyboards on eBay

There's a heap of cheap ($20) Bluetooth keyboards on eBay, all look to come from the same model and factory so some no-brand things. Anyone know if these could be ok to use? Beats the $200+ that Nokia was demanding last time I checked about two years ago. I know for $20 I can't go wrong but I'd still rather spend that $20 on a meal if these things are junk. Check out eBay and let me know what you think. They claim to work with PS3 gaming consoles too so could be extremely handy to have around if they actually work and the batteries don't explode in my lap.

[Q] Iconia vs. Transformer

This is a thread to help some people make a decision as to which tablet is better to purchase.
Staples has a coupon that will take $100 off of any of their tablets in store only. I have been to Staples (Out of stock, will not order online at the kiosk) Best Buy (Will not honor coupon), and the closest office depot is 30 miles away.
The coupon expires on the July 30, so I am hoping that staples is restocking their stores with more inventory.
My question is, which tablet should I/we purchase. I'm talking about a straight tablet, no docks or anything. Posts should be based on personal use and also about current developments in the respective forums (how much development is there for the device).
Thank you so much to anyone that posts a helpful comment.
I don't own an iconia, but I do own a transformer and I player a bit with an iconia, so I can provide some perspective. To me, the biggest difference between the two is the presence of a USB port on the iconia and its absence on the transformer. In order to use USB on the TF, you'd have to buy a dock. If I wasn't in the market for a dock, that would be an absolute deal breaker: there is no point buying a tablet with no USB port.
Aside from that, the TF has an IPS screen if that's important to you, but be careful as some IPS screens suffer from light bleed. It's a sharper and higher quality screen than the one on the iconia, but that will only be truly better if your screen doesn't bleed light.
Having said all that, perchance you are considering a dock, the TF is a better buy. With a dock, you essentially get two devices in one: a tablet and a netbook. The specs are identical, the apps you can run are identical. I think the TF has a slightly more active community on XDA, so if you want roms and custom apps, TF may again be a better choice. I think the TF is also cheaper: nowadays you can get a 16GB TF with a dock for the price of a 32GB iconia (in Canada, anyway).
Good luck with your choice.
Hey thanks man. The screen is a pretty big deal to me (seeing as it is the direct link between the UI and the user) but I have heard of a lot of defects that include light bleed.
I think that the dock is an awesome feature, though I feel that the price is kind of steep. I mean its half the price of the tablet (at least with the coupon it is). I am also really big into seeing ROM development as I am a flashoholic with my Evo. From what I can see there are more original ROM's on the TF forum and more ports on the Iconia Forum.
Thanks for your input. Anyone else?
Well, the dock being "half the price of the tablet" isn't relevant, particularly considering the $100 discount. Certainly, the existence of the discount doesn't make the dock somehow less valuable.
And, it's a perfectly decent price in general, given that it's not just a dock, or a keyboard/trackpad combo, but it also includes a full-size battery. Consider that Lenovo's keyboard dock, which does NOT include a battery, is $99.99.
Really, speaking for myself, I can't imagine owning any other tablet. The keyboard dock, being fully integrated with the tablet, is an entirely different animal than any other tablet on the market.
Good point.
How is the light bleed for you guys? Any other defects that you don't like?

Imho, price for what you get, there's absolutely no question it's the Iconia. No need for a dock to have USB, SD, or HDMI, it's all there. Add the fact that I was just at Target the other day, and they had them for $399.99 + they gave you a $50.00 gift card, which you could use to purchase a case. A previous poster said that more ROMS are out for the tf, that's a joke I haven't heard before, as one of the tf fanboyz was over in our forum offering to pay the first dev that got the Galaxy rom ported over to the tf. We've had that ROM for weeks.
In the end it will come to personal preferences and money. Do you want to pay more for the tf so you can have connectivity, and lightbleed? If so, then that's the tablet to shoot for, with a 357 magnum!
Just my. 02c
From what I can see, the tf has more original roms and the iconia has more ports. just something I noticed.

Droid Bionic Standard Dock (89497N) with Atrix 2?

Curious if anyone knows if the Standard Dock with Rapid Wall Charger for the Droid Bionic (89497N) will work with the Atrix 2?
The reason I ask is because it seems that one of the other dock accessories is made to be compatible with both phones ("Motorola 89508N Battery Dock with HW4X Battery and Rapid Wall Charger for DROID BIONIC and ATRIX 2)
Anyone have any luck with this?
Thanks,
Rick
OK.. Well, the standard dock for the Bionic does NOT fit... HOWEVER...
Motorola has re-designed the HD docks, and now offers a universal dock that fits a bunch of models.. I picked up the 89512N...
Motorola ATRIX 2 MB865
Motorola DROID 3
Motorola DROID 4
Motorola DROID Bionic
Motorola DROID X2 MB870
Motorola Electrify
Motorola Photon 4G
Motorola Xyboard 10.1
Motorola Xyboard 8.2
There appear to be two models: 89512N, which is simply the "HD Dock", and includes an HDMI out port on the back, as well as an audio out, and a power adapter.
There is also the 89511N, which is the "HD Station". That includes HDMI out, audio out, 3 USB ports (for Webtop), and a power adapter.
89512N is priced around $49, and the 89511N is priced around $99

Will either of these fit the phone with the Otterbox Defender Case? Assuming not does any one know a dock that will?

Webtop hack, bluetooth KB + mouse and your standard charger is the only real option if you don't want to be taking the case off all the time. It's not a bad setup really.
So why didn't the Bionic dock work, did it not line up or something else, cause some of them are dirt cheap.

Doesnt fit/line up
Thats weird since the new dock says it fits Bionic and Atrix 2, I wonder if they have put some play in the connectors on the new universal dock.

Droid Bionic Vehicle Navigation Mount

I recently ordered a Droid Bionic phone to start new Verizon Wireless service. What exactly is included in the box with the Motorola Vehicle Navigation kit? I'm asking this because I'm under the impression that there are several different versions of the kit being sold. I've heard that the dock sold through Verizon does not include a rapid charger. I've heard that the version sold on Amazon's website does not include the Y adapter for connecting the Droid Bionic to a car stereo's AUX input. I'm very confused and would like to know if I should spend the extra money to buy it directly from Motorola or if I'm safe to buy it somewhere else for less. Motorola's website doesn't say what's in the box and their live chat reps won't tell me either.

Wireless charging.

Hey all, recent got one of these phones and was just thinking I should grab one of those wireless charging style backs. But now that I'm looking they appear discontinued? No one shows stock, and everyone on eBay wants 60 plus shipping for them. So any one have a better suggestion on getting wireless charging on this thing?
If you're in the UK, Vodafone has them in stock for £40. I got one and really like it, it's the grey fabric and looks great!
If you're stateside, you might have some luck at some Best Buy brick and mortar stores. Despite what the website says, some stores DO have it, albeit in very limited quantities due to lack of real demand, not to mention they were giving it as a freebie for those who bought the Moto Z, Moto Z Force, and Moto Z Play from them unlocked (which was how I even got one in the first place). eBay obviously has it but prices are going to be sky high. Heh, reminds me of when I had an LG V10 and the wireless charging back LG sold for it wasn't available in the US and would usually be sold at the low low price of $59.99 but I managed to nab one from a seller for $35 bucks.
Other than that, you're pretty much out of luck. If you really want wireless charging, get that Incipio battery mod that includes wireless charging or the TUMI one if you prefer. Probably better than the wireless charging back since it works with the Verizon bumper case though it probably doesn't have the 15W Qi fast charging capabilities that the style shell wireless charging back does.
wireless mod from motorola
I could not find the wireless mod either, until i did a web search and found a link to the motorola site. Sure enough i placed an order for $37 and it went through, even though it would not show as an available item on the site when I was looking on it. Just got confirmation email - be here in 5 days. Try this:

The floral wireless charging mod is now available on the US Motorola site for a clearance price of $20. Get them while you can.
